Hey all, this is going to be a long post but I wanted to make sure that this does not happen to…read moreanyone else. As a local small business owner I do believe we all have to stick together and right now I am being wronged by another local business. I have been quiet about the situation for 2 months now, and I just can't let this go anymore. On May 13th I had Barrier Auto Glass (A company that is supposedly bonded and insured) come out and replace the windshield on my 2019 Ford F-450. They did a shoddy job, the seals were not replaced correctly and the windscreen was all broken. On top of that there was WATER leaking through it all week. I contacted them about the situation, their receptionist told me that they were having a KNOWN issue with their urethane and still decided to use it on my truck. They came out and "fixed" the leak (they did a hack job then too). I thought it was all okay so I let it go. A day later my truck began to have various shorts throughout the electrical system. I took it to a local mechanic and they diagnosed that water to the BCM from where the windshield was leaking was the cause. They sent me to Ford and Ford confirmed the cause as well. Throughout all of this Barrier Auto Glass claimed that they had insurance so there was no need to worry. When we finally started a claim Farmers Insurance also told me that Barrier had insurance and then a couple days later I found out that they LIED to me and they had no insurance. I contacted the company multiple times and asked to speak with the owner and they always dodged my calls. 2 months later they are still out performing services and meanwhile I have a $100,000 truck that is sitting at FORD NON RUNNING, that I have to continue to make payments on and pay for MY INSURANCE. I have not been contacted by the glass company and they are now going on with business as usual. Their work is NOT cheap and I thought you got what you paid for. Turns out they are just another hacked up company that has NO RESPECT for what could be someone's most expensive asset, and not only that but it is one of the most vital pieces of equipment for my company. Thanks for taking the time to read. Please feel free to share and if you are looking for an auto glass company DO NOT go through these guys because even though they had acknowledged fault, as soon as they saw they did not have insurance they did not offer up any other solutions. I will post pictures of conversations. TLDR: DO NOT USE BARRIER AUTO GLASS THEY MESSED UP MY EQUIPMENT AND ARE NOT BEING RESPONSIVE AND THEY DID NOT HAVE INSURANCE EVEN THOUGH THEY CLAIM THEY DID

I had a small, but noticeable door ding that some clown inflicted on my car. David (owner) walked out said no problem, gave me a reasonable quote, explained the process and I scheduled a date to drop it off. I arrived dropped the keys and two hours later I could not find the ding. Absolutely amazing. They also do all types of work, including rims, but if you are in need of repairs then this is your place.

They wound up with the wrong windshield, so they sealed off the vehicle for the night and came back with a new windshield a day later. They replaced it and it looks great! I will use A-Z for all of my car window work in the future. I won't even bother getting quotes next time. They were truly fantastic to deal with and I highly recommend them.

After I obtained the window, I let him know and set up an install time (between 1 & 4 PM) the following week. Later, I sent him my VIN # and asked for a copy of the work order. He did not provide a copy of the work order. Instead, he shows up and has the window installed in my driveway without letting me know that he arrived. When I asked him how much I owed, he said $200 plus tax. I then reminded him that he quoted $100 to $150, and he basically told me "whatever". I had bids from other installers, but I decided to use him because he installed another window for me in another vehicle which went as planned. I probably won't use him again, nor will I recommend his company because, while his work appears to be fine, his respect for his customers and his ethical standards appear to be questionable, at best.

Two things ultimately lead me to a negative review, and I assure you, both are avoidable. 1) Did I…read moreget what I paid for. 2) Did the business make the situation right after the problem was brought to their attention. In this matter, the transaction should have been simple, I needed my windshield replaced. That means, I come in, you replace the windshield correctly and hopefully, I don't see you for a long while. None of that happened. Things did not start off well, but I will blame my insurance agent for 90% of the issue. I told them where I wanted to take my care, but they continued to push Safelite. They scheduled my service with Safelite and told me that the business I chose could have the claim transferred. When I came to Lucky Dog, they called the 3rd party State Farm uses and their computers were down and they advised they planned to be back online in less than 90 minutes. That meant Lucky Dog wasn't going to start service for 90 minutes despite me having an appointment. Not wanting to wait, I suggested they verify coverage with my agent despite already showing them my insurance card that denoted a $0 deductible. I felt challenged, like I wasn't being honest and what bothered me most is they told me service would take up to 3 hours. So why not start service and if there is any issue with payment, we work it out in the end. They refused to do so, so my service was delayed about an hour. Ok, not my business and I felt if Joe was being that thorough on payment, his people would be that thorough on installation. Service was complete and I left. I also noted I was not offered either of the two items they advertised with windshield replacement. It was a $25 refund or new wiper blades. Since I Just replaced the blades, I was going to request the $25 cash, but it wasn't offered. 2 days later, the rain began that lead to record flooding. I was driving and noticed I couldn't see. It was scary and dangerous, because visibility is the foundation for safe driving. I looked down and the wipers that are automated were in the auto mode. I turned them from auto to on and they began to work. Once home, I called Lucky Dog and scheduled to come back to have the system looked at. When I arrived there the following week, I asked for Joe, the owner, he was on the east cost according to staff. I also noticed a bubble where the windshield sensor was and I pointed that out to the tech. He drove the car, confirmed the auto wipers were not working and went to work. After about 90 minutes, he told me the system had been fixed and apologized the work wasn't done correctly the first time. Again, no offer for blade replacement or cash rebate was made. In the end, the work was not done correctly the first time. A serious safety issue was the result of it and none of the offers that came with service were offered and I had to take nearly 3 hours of my personal in pursuit or having them do what they failed to do on my original appointment. Lucky Dog got full payment, but did not provide the service or support I expected. And rather than take another 2 hours to drive back and talk to Joe, I felt my time would be better served leaving a detailed review. Mistakes happen, but as I say, the measure of a business is what they do when this transpires. I am not at all impressed with Lucky Dog and how this all shook out.
