I had two breaks on my windshield, that never really bothered me but I came across a Groupon for this place and decided why not? I live closer to their Alexandria location but decided to go to the Chantilly location (which is 40 mins away) because I needed to run other errands in that area. When I arrived, they told me they can try to fix one of my breaks but it's a little large and it might still be a little visible and that was okay with me. Then, they looked at the second break and said that was fine (mind you, the second break was so small, you could barely notice it and probably didn't even need to be fixed). So that's two breaks total but I paid $49 for the Groupon for 3 breaks because that was cheaper route. I looked up the reviews and was sold. I asked how long it would take and was told it would be an hour to an hour and a half. I paid and decided to take an uber to a nearby shopping plaza. I came back an hour and a half later later and my car has not even gotten started on. They then tell me that it's because I didn't sign the waiver so I asked why didn't you give it to me when I paid? So I signed it and she told me they'll take my car now. A couple minutes later she comes back and says she gave me the wrong waiver, to sign another one instead... like really???? why didn't you at least call and let me know that it needed to be signed? - I was unable to run my other errands because it took so long. About 15 mins later, my car was done and there was BARELY any difference at all. The first break, I would say about a 30% difference. The second one looked like it hasn't been touched at all. So I went back in and asked was this even worked on? They say yes and have the technician come out to prove it but he didn't even notice the second break or remember working on it. Basically 1. I dropped my car off at 1, left at 3:15 2. I definitely overpaid 3. I drove way out of my way for NOTHING I don't know where the great reviews are coming from but this is what i experienced today. read more

Wow! I'm super impressed with this place. I initially submitted a Yelp quote for this business along with a few others. They responded right away and provided the cost for in person visit ($49) or the cost for their mobile service ($119). I didn't want to pay the extra so when I called for availabilities they were able to fit me in the same day. I had to come a little later than I wanted, but I appreciated the honesty from the staff who promised if I arrive by 12pm I didn't have to wait. I was seen right away as they promised and they were able to get working on my car immediately. I truly appreciated Luigi taking the time to walk me through what the repair process meant. He emphasized the difference between repair and cosmetic. I really glad he did that because I would have been confused otherwise and it might have not ended pretty. I was literally in and out; and they did an amazing job! He was very professional and willing to help. On top of that, he gave me a discount! I was shocked cause customer service has been dwindling in this country. The next day, they came to my office, and fixed the windshield. The technicians gave me tips on what to do, which was impressive. I've had to replace my windshield twice before, and I never had anyone give me tips on how to maintain it. Also, the windshield came with a lifetime warranty. I used them about 3 years ago to replace a cracked windshield. The initial cost was about the average-high range of $270, and the install was prompt. The service rep didn't say much, and it took about 45-60 minutes. About a week after I was on my way to a meeting when it started to rain and the watered started pouring in so returned home, missed my meeting, and called them and rescheduled a refix. The refix went well. Almost 3 years later I'm riding down the highway and I hear crack and in the upper right hand corner the windshield starts a downward crack about 1-2 inches . It spreads downward and after a few really cold days it makes a sudden horizontal turn and continues across 3/4 of the windshield. I look up their lifetime warranty on line and give them a call. I explain and discuss it with the manager and he tells me that cracks only happen the first week after installation but I reiterate how mine occurred and remind him that the original window that he he replaced cracked in the same way after 4 years of ownership. He stated that the warranty didn't cover cracks but only leaks and workmanship and that he couldn't afford to replace every cracked window that occurred. Well in my view the window either cracked due a structural issue, poor glass quality, or workmanship. He offered to replace it for $219. We went back and forth and then he said he would send out a technician to look at it. The technician came out early the next morning and said that the crack was caused by a rock or a object. I explain that no object hit my windshield in that location and he attempts to find a microscopic chip or indentation. So I go and get a magnifying glass to see what he's referring to and it's absurd. I've hit large bugs and even small rocks from dump-trucks and that didn't cause the windshield to crack so some microscopic slither didn't cause it either. Again he and I go round and around and he restates that windshields only crack after the first week of installation and again I remind him that's not this case. He leaves and says he'll talk to the manager. I waited all day and didn't get a call back. So i decided to contact other providers. FYI Apex for the same cost as AGE stated that their lifetime warranty covers cracks also and the Glass Doctor offered a 1 year warranty that covered everything but I would confirm these in writing prior to using the service. I contacted several others worth mentioning, Windshield City, which had great customer service and reviews. The least expensive was Auto Glass Masters. I 'll make my decision within a day or so and maybe I'll write a follow up? Just a note in my internet research I found Windshield Repair Forum, where professionals post or discuss valuable information windshields! read more

Auto Glass Express charged me less than half of what Safelite wanted to replace my windshield, which was damaged by a rock that was kicked up by another vehicle. These guys are super quick and super honest. I used them about 4 years ago to get my son's window regulator fixed. They completed the work in less than 30 minutes and charged me only $30. I didn't hesitate to call them when my daughter's window mechanism wouldn't roll the window up properly. I called them on Labor Day and they returned the call within mere minutes. We scheduled an appointment for the next day, tech would call first on his we. We went over possible fees and scheduled. However, I failed to look at the car's problem before I called them. A quick inspection determined that the window lock switch was engaged and when disengaged the window worked. I felt a little embarrassed calling them back, but they were reassuring and fine in canceling the appointment. They were just happy I was able to resolve the window issue. He told me that I should check my bank statement to make sure which I did confirm. Next day, i had a miss call from them but no voicemail. This was during work hour. After about 30 minute or so, i get a text saying that I need to pay or else they will take legal actions. Not even asking if I confirmed the payment, nor any sort of warning/heads up. Sounded very offensive as if I was trying to run away. Called them back and same response. No apologies when it is their fault for making this mistake causing me to go through this hassle. I went here recently to get my front windshield replaced because of a crack. I had called a few days prior to get a quote and then I called again to set an appointment. When I arrived they immediately took my car. The guy who was replacing my windshield brought my car back up front to show me that there was rust from water damage and gave me a price on how much more it was going to cost. I appreciated that he told me and there weren't any surprises when I went to pay in the end. My car was finished within 1hour and 15min. They lost a star because there is absolutely no parking. One of the workers told me to park next to the fire hydrant, which I did not. So then one of the workers had to move their car for me. Also the waiting room is very tiny and freezing cold, since the AC is blows straight towards the chairs. But I will be returning for any windshield work to be done. read more

In addition, I had a very tight schedule and even after telling me they would not be able to accommodate me today, they gave me SAME DAY, AT HOME service after I told them how damaged my glass was. I am notorious for needing to get my windshield replaced and I'm so glad I finally was able to shop around. This place was by far the best customer service. They were really friendly, nice and fast! You have two options-- they can go to you or you go to them. If you're kind of far-- you should have them go to you since it's only about $15-20 difference. I highly suggest getting some quotes before from other places and shopping around. They'll match your price as best they can. If it's just the windshield you're getting replaced, it should only take about 30-45 mins-- depending on the wait. There was only one other car in front of me on a Saturday morning! Don't do business with this company. I called this company on the phone for my windshield to be replaced. I gave the car model number and year. He quoted me a price, I thought it was a great price, he then proceeded to set a time for me to go to their location. He said going to their location is cheaper than if they come to see me. I agreed, this would work. I drove over 45 miles, to be told the windshield would cost 3 times more what he quoted me. He stated the car had sensors. Well who is the expert here, why didn't Leo ask me this over the phone if the car had sensors. He just wanted to make money. This company is not worth the money. I would not recommend.
