This is the place to go! From mid NH and driving to MA to car dealership to look and drive a used vehicle. Wanted an independent, reliable, non-biased, opinion from automotive mechanics that know their stuff, not part of the dealership - to go over things, test drive, etc. These guys are great. Once everything checked, on and off the lift - then a test drive that revealed an issue! Brought this to the dealer attention - AND on a test drive, was reproduced. This helped negotiation to make things right before purchase. Cannot say enough great things about the crew here. I had called beforehand and they were able to accommodate this request on short notice. Knowledgeable, great service, friendly staff, truly professional and tell it like it easy. One of the best and most unexpected customer service experiences I have ever had. I was considering buying a used car in the area and went here to have it checked out before deciding to purchase. Never been there before. I expected a quick once over for major defects (at most) especially since I wasn't getting any repairs done. The mechanic actually got in the car with me and we took it for a drive, testing all the equipment, safety features and electronics. Then he put it up on the lift and walked me through everything he saw, pointing out what would need work and what wouldn't. He even pulled up recall info and other issues related to the model that he had access to in his computer system. All told, he spent well over an hour with me going through vehicle and was enormously helpful in my decision whether to buy the car. These guys were so much better and more thorough than other places I had gone to, I was really amazed. Plus the mechanic (Derek) cracked me up a bunch of times. It's a bit out of my way but I will definitely keep coming back here. read more

Agree 100% with Willy K. Auto hospital was great when run by Chuck. John comes across as he knows what he is talking about but doesn't. Had vehichles misdiagnosed and work done on only to have to return for more work because it wasn't done the first time. Had a bad interaction with John and that was the end of the auto hospital for me. read more

I had a 5 star review on here -- editing down to 1 stars. *Ownership change, so the reviews that mention Chuck -- ignore those!* My family had been coming here for 20 years (becuase we LOVE Chuck!), but in the past year, we've been burned by auto hospital over and over. We'd recommend AGAINST going here now. Auto hospital used to be a really great shop. Chuck, the old owner, had a ton of integrity and great work ethic. Seems like he's either 1) gone or 2) put other folks in charge. The new owner is John. Working with John is really frustrating because he is unreliable. The main issues are: 1) extremely poor communication. They never call with any updates anymore. I have to call them. 2) sloppy work, over and over again this year, and 3) timelines. Holy crap. It's like they don't give one damn about my time anymore! Last time they had my car to do simple repairs (replace thermostat on radiator + change a single light bulb), it took over one week + the weekend. Then, when I got it back, the light bulb indicator was broken and my pop hood latch was broken. read more

I had moved to Hanover and was looking for a place to bring my Jeep to get serviced in my area. I had been going for years to the dealership and always felt like a number. I also felt they never listen to me, it was like an assembly line. Luck has it I found the Auto Hospital. My jeep has been serviced for over 3 yrs by John and his professional mechanics. I'm actually shocked that I'm the first one to review this great auto shop! This place is right on my street, so naturally I went there a few months ago with a noise that developed in my front end. Fearing $$$ repair like ball joints, I was relieved to find out it was simply cupping in the tires making the noise. The owner, Chuck, didn't even try selling me tires. He basically said I was good for another 5 months or so. And most recently, I took my wife's car there for pads and rotors. Great work at a great price (under $330 for the rear) and to top it all off the mechanics and owner are very friendly. Will definitely be giving them my business in the future read more

I love these guys. I'm sure most Yelp readers are familiar with the Seinfeld episode discussing how difficult it is to find a good mechanic... I used to bring my old Explorer and my girlfriends LTD (and her later Beetle) to these guys on a fairly regular basis; it was a revolving door with our cars, really. Always reasonably priced, quick, and totally honest with me regarding labor... the invoice you get might as well be a play-by-play on your repair. Highly recommended. read more

Great place! I couldn't recommend this place higher. Friendly service and fast. I went here because my father recommend it, it was close, and I was having some break from issues that I thought was a bigger deal (a frozen/stuck caliper.) Turned out the new pads I put on were too tight and were wedged in too snugly. How's that for honesty, I was expecting a couple of hundred dollar repair and they told me it was a simple & quick fix and charged me appropriately. Plus they stayed open a little later to let me come pick up my car. They have my business forever. read more
