Brought my vehicle in for an alignment paid then I was told I had a bad tire rod. I said, how can you do an alignment with a bad part? He then told me if I got it fixed I could bring it back in which I did two days later the alignment was way worse pulled so hard to the right. I could not keep my vehicle on the road. My wife was with me. So now I've had it there twice went ahead and had it aligned somewhere else printed out the before and the after of the alignment in picture form they told me they don't know how I kept my vehicle on the road. I said I know so I went back to auto lab asking for a refund of my $119. I was told he would give me service in exchange. I said why would I want service from you? I would just like my refund. I had to wait four days till they talk to the owner of the franchise, which I was supposed to meet at 2 o'clock in Avon the other day he didn't show up so when I went back up there, I was told they could not do a refund because I did not bring my vehicle back there I said I've had my vehicle there twice so now I am in the process of filing a small claims. This place is a big no for me. Just to add the service rider when I showed him the paperwork for the alignment from the other shop he told me oh they have a really nice machine we used to have that here. I don't know why they got rid of it. we don't like the alignment machine. We have here now it must be out of calibration‍ read more

Update Dec 2025 (this is my second review for this year) .... we went back to Auto-Lab Avon with my grandson's Jeep GC. It now had a bad oil leak. They were extremely busy but were able to look at it within a few days. Not only were there 2 oil leaks, had a bad water pump and cracked radiator. Sean is great to work with, explains everything and very trustworthy. He knows that I am paying for the repairs for my grandson and only fix what needs to be repaired. Not one of these shops that give you a long list of what is recommended. After my approval they had it completed in a couple of days. It wasn't cheap, but what car repair is. I felt like I got a good deal and a job done right. We were thinking about selling the Jeep. Sean said it was in good condition and we should keep it. If we bought something else comparable to the Jeep, we would probably be buying someone else's problem. I appreciated the honestly. I would highly recommend this shop. Made my appointment online and when I arrived I was early and the first customer of the day. I normally download a coupon from their website but didn't find one this time. I recently dealt with Sean regarding my car. I was planning on a long trip and just wanted to have it checked out to insure everything was safe. After having been to two dealerships and learning they wanted $150-160 just to put it on the lift and look at it, I went to Auto Lab. Sean was very reassuring that my car was solid and did not need anything. Sean gave me peace of mind before the Thanksgiving trip to the East Coast. Updated: second experience was not awesome. Original: Our experience with AutoLab was exceptional from the beginning. They were recommended to us by Discount Tire as we had obtained some after market shocks & struts to level a Dodge 1500. They were helpful on the phone and honest about pricing. They booked the appointment quickly and were on time upon arrival. They did a great job of replacing the product I provided in an appropriate time. The waiting lounge was comfortable and I didn't mind the wait. I will return to them and highly recommend them. read more

**UPDATE** I was called by Shawn about an hour after I left the review. He offered me compensation for my issue. As of right now it has been settled. I was scheduled to have an appoint at 2pm. I arrived a few minutes before and was told that no one put it in the system. They were able to work me in and took the car back to the service area. I was scheduled to have an alignment done on a newer vehicle. After 40 minutes, one of the representatives told me that their system was not up to date and that they would not be able to perform the service. Further, once they got the vehicle back to me it had an odor of old food and cigarette smoke. read more

I made an appointment on Monday for a 2pm alignment. I arrived at 1:50 and walked into a waiting room that smelled like old stale food, body odor and other smells. When I stated who I was and why I was there the gentleman asked if I had just gotten new tires and I said no, but had been in a crash. He asked if I was dropping off or staying. I stated I was starting. He said unfortunately he couldn't say how long it would take because they had a large limousine on the lift. I stated that I had an appointment at 2 pm and no one had notified me they wouldn't be able to get me in. I have already taken a 1/2 day off of work to get this done before a long trip after a crash. I stated I was very angry and it was unacceptable to treat a customer like this. He said he couldn't do anything till the car on the lift was fixed and off of the lift. He asked if I wanted to schedule another appointment? What is the point if they cannot honor my current appointment. It does not in anyway make up for missing a 1/2 day of work for nothing. I will not be returning and recommend others do the same if they need a specific appointment. read more

I trust auto lab to perform an oil change on my car. But I was disappointed to find my seat all the back & low. (Sometimes it's hard to get seat just right) And my AC was turned on -all the way on low. I had it turned off. For such a short service I wouldn't expect such a need for AC or the tallest employee to drive vehicle out of garage. This won't stop me from returning. But it's enough for me to comment here. If anyone is like me, going to the auto repair shop is a dreadful experience. Even a simple oil change could become a "by the way, we noticed this too" trip. Well, I am at the point where my car is paid for and now even other month something is going wrong. Trying my best to dodge a car payment, I find myself weighing the repairs vs the value of the vehicle. Okay, enough about me, on to the review. I took my SUV to Auto Lab out of the blue. After going to several other mechanics and experiencing sticker shock, something told me to stop by for a 4th opinion. Immediately I was intimidated by the cleanliness and feel of the place. They probably have one of the cleanest lobby's next to a high end car dealership. They took my truck for a test drive and were very clear in explaining the issue. I even got to stand underneath my truck with the mechanic. Still skeptic on the noise, we went for a second test drive to make sure we were identifying the same noise. The price they quoted me was $500 below the lowest bidder. They got me in and out on a Saturday morning. Even though I had to invest money I didn't expect on an auto repair, I was pleased with their work and professionalism. I took my car in for a simple oil change to the AutoLab in Avon & they tried to up-sale me into other 'repairs' that simply weren't needed. They made it sound like I needed to get these so called repairs done immediately for my own safety. They sounded a bit shady so I took my car to a nearby dealership & had them give me a 2nd opinion. I was told that there was nothing wrong whatsoever with the "issues" that Auto-Lab had described & that I was being taken advantage of. I highly recommend avoiding this place. read more

It's pretty bad when you enjoy visiting this type of place....... The last thing you want to have to do is shell out your hard earned money to get your car fixed. If it comes to that you can visit this place and know your vehicle needs it or they won't do it. I will admit that I am fortunate to know more about cars than the average woman. That can be a good thing, or a dangerous thing depending on how the person you are talking to feels their level of knowledge is. I don't pretend to know more than the mechanic, but I know enough to know if they are trying to get over on me when it comes to repairs. That will not happen when you talk to Mike or Scott...or honestly anyone of the guys in the garage. I drive a car that I really like because of the body style and I don't like the new ones, so mine gets treated like a member of the family and a baby at that. First sign of a sickness I go to AutoLab. Just ask them, they know me by name. (Also I don't want to spend as much as a house to replace it). The service is great, the prices are less than dealers charge, and if you stop in to ask them a question or take a quick look...they are there. Two days after Christmas, I stopped in to ask a question about no heat in my car..(I do live in the midwest and the polar vortex was about to attack us -- you want heat in your car). I gave a brief description of what had happened the night before, and in moments I had Mike, Scott, Scooter, and 2 others under the hood of my car. Twenty minutes later my car was blowing out heat like it was just off the showroom floor. I had not had that many men or that much attention in ages, too bad it was all for my car. That people is service, and it is because you can trust this place and these people ! That is hard to find in the auto repair business. I am a loyal customer who gets treated right in a place that is clean, pleasant to wait if you have too, and have a soft drink, coffee, television or wifi, all at their expense. If you can't wait they arrange to take you home and pick you up when your car is ready. (within distance reason of course) Don't think they are some little place with not much business, they are anything but that. Go in .... check them out....I promise you auto repair like this will have more people keeping their cars until they grow old. read more

I recently had a oil change. service was ok I took care home and woke up to a flat tire. I took the car back and indeed had a nail in tire. Paid to have it plugged and was on my way. Left for a couple days to find a flat tire same tire mind you. 3rd time now. I took car back again. They said I had another nail and fixed for free. Come to find out new manager was taking over. Real nice guy. So while waiting I went and had lunch. Returned to find car done and outside and again no charge. Got my keys other then frustration of having to return again it was nice I didn't have to pay again. So I get in car and my tpms light was on. They had me pull it in and they checked tire psi. It was low. He said that the tire pressure indicator of his was bad. Filled with air and on my way. While standing there and even though they plug and not patch I picked up 5 nails and screws on floor while waiting. Even pointing them out to the guy. Took car home and yep got up the next day same tire same situation. Took car back now for the 5th time. read more

My vehicle kept hearing up and they said they fixed the problem what they did is charge me 300$ for parts that cost 50$ and the rest was labor that is very crazy when they called me and told me there is another problem with your car that's going to cost you another 300$ I said enough!! I took my car down the road to Advance Automotives I truly recommend this place you get a free check up not like auto lab who charges you a 50$ check up auto motives check ups are free!!
