I remembered that when I needed new tires. Went there on a whim and they were quite busy. They did let me know that it would be approx. 2 hours wait and they had 6 cars ahead of me. I was shown the tires available for me, but the ones I wanted were not in stock. I asked when they could get them and set an appointment for that day. When I showed up for my appointment, they were all set and it took about 45 minutes in all. Not bad for all 4 tires. The price I was quoted was the actual price I paid. Easy peasy. Another day, another reason I'll be a Discount Tire customer for life. We landed in Indy on Saturday 5/20 after a LONG day traveling home from Mexico. Hot, tired, and unfortunately we arrived at the car and found a nail in our tire. I looked up the closest Discount and drove the 10 minutes to Plainfield. They were able to get us in, replace the unfixable tire, and send us home in about an hour. Plus we only paid $30 due to Discount's tire coverage (past Brock was thinking ahead!) Got new shoes on the SS last weekend. Discount Tire took care of us by price matching. They ordered in the tires I wanted at no extra cost. We had an appointment for a Saturday morning, which I highly recommend. Everyone else just shows up and it's a free-for-all. Appointments are honored, though, and those who didn't make one wait. The offer free rotation and balance every some-thousand miles. The best part? My debit card was declined at purchase and the guy didn't make me feel like a loser. I am so impressed with this place! We got in the car yesterday and noticed one of our tires was super low. Drove up here 40 minutes before closing and surprisingly they were able to get us in! We waited for maybe an hour but they got two pieces of metal out of our tire & patched it up for us completely free! We were surprised and actually felt a little bad for getting it done for free! I have had a little trouble with a tire on my large sized, newer SUV for a while. I had it checked at Nissan and they said everything was "fine". This morning, when it was 18 degrees, my tire "idiot" light warning sign was on and the tire pressure was down to 24 psi. So, I decided to go to Discount Tire in Plainfield and I am so GLAD I did. The two gentlemen (young men) helping people check in/out were so professional and nice. I fully expected to have to pay for a new, 20" tire and was so surprised to find out I only had a nail in the tire. They repaired it for free! Wow, was I surprised. Living in Avon, I have my choice of about two of every business within a 3 mile radius including Discount Tire. Usually, I migrate to Rockville Rd for everything, but in this instance, I have come to prefer the Discount Tire on W Washington in Plainfield. They are super fast. Everyone is always friendly and very helpful. I bought a new set of tires about a year ago here and I get free balance and rotation and inspections for the life of the tires. They will even send email reminders for the balance and rotation so you don't forget! How great is that? I took my car in this morning to have the air pressure light checked. My tires were all checked and filled to the right level and I was on my way before I read through my first email. There's free water and coffee while you wait. They're pretty good at giving you an ETA on how long it may be. If there is a wait, there's a Starbucks, Target and a plethora of other stores and restaurants including Metropolis mall that are all in walking distance. read more

Not only do they have great prices, their customer service is amazing. They work hard to have your car done quickly but also are extremely friendly and positive. I brought my car in because of a tire going flat. They fixed the tire and rotated all of them- I only had to wait about 15 minutes total. While driving away I even noticed that they had vacuumed out the front part of my car. I have noticed that the Plainfield Discount Tire is completely unique in this level of customer service. After shopping several stores, including the warehouse discount places, i found they had the best price by $200 on the 17 inch tires for my 4-door Tacoma. They are busy, so you may have to leave your vehicle, but it's always been serviced correctly. read more

Great service! I had ordered a tire because I thought my tire couldn't be repaired. ( A misunderstanding from AAA.) I had a convenient spare put on my car and was all set to pay for a new one. Robert came out and said "The good news is we can save you a couple hundred dollars by putting a patch on the tire." The tire was over $200.00 and this was actually a great price compared to other places I called. Mind you they already ordered the tire and had it there. I needed to get to Chicago and he assured me it was perfectly safe and is warrantied for the rest of the life of the tire. And unbelievably, it was free! I didn't buy my car here and chances are because I live near Chicago I won't be visiting again. I found this place to be very ethical, clean, kind employees, nice waiting area, and very helpful.
