"It's a car wash, ladies and gentlemen!" -- Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001) Combination car wash and restaurant - why? And seriously, who knew? Thanks to Pam A. a few of us stopped in for car washes and brunch today to try out this somewhat frightening concept and I was pleasantly surprised. However, in good conscience I cannot give them more than 3 stars for many reasons. First, dropping off the car. The guys walk up to you and ask you want you want done to your car - simple enough. There is not a list of services anywhere and the website is perpetually under construction. I explained what I wanted done and the guy seemed to pull pricing out of thin air. So apparently, when we were there a basic wash and vacuum is $30. You want to throw in a wax, it is $125. WHAT? I have been to a dozen car wash places around town and that is crazy talk. So we went inside and took a seat. One person is working the inside between mixing cocktails, taking orders, cashing people out - one young woman. It isn't like the place is slammed busy, but still it was Saturday. We received waters right away, but it was at least 30 minutes before our brunch orders were taken. The waitress did apologize, but I saw her on her cell phone (texting, I guess) quite a bit - so it isn't like she was busy with other tables. Once we received our food, I was surprised that it was pretty good. I'm not sure what to expect at a car wash/restaurant combo. I ordered the 2 egg breakfast - I asked for the scrambled and cheese was offered. I opted for bacon and potatoes and cinnamon raisin toast. The eggs were pretty good - not over cooked. Soft but not wet - just like I like them. The toast was so dry, it was impossible to choke down though. I could only eat half a slice. The potatoes on the side were mixed with bell peppers and onions and had a nice spice to them. However the bacon had to be the saltiest bacon I have ever eaten in my life - basically inedible. Apparently the food and car wash transactions have to be processed separately - weird but ok. When I paid for my car, I was asked if I wanted to add a tip and how much. So I tipped and was told to take the paper receipt to the guy who washed my car. I walked outside and up to my car and waited to be approached. First thing I saw was a mess on the door of my car - it had been there before, but expected them to get it off. The guy insisted it was a scratch, and then adhesive and would never come off. I argued and another guy said it might be able to be buffed. They did take my car and buff it out. Problem solved, until he brought the car back and said buffing costs $25 (okay, tell me that BEFORE you provide the service). He then commented that it was no charge. So I might come back - I think the prices are on their whim and while my car looks amazing, I think I can get a better job for less (and set pricing) at Cactus, which is closer to my house. I've been here twice, it's the gold and purple car wash on the corner of 14th and State Street. Once about a month ago, then again today. And I must say, I think this is going to be my new weekly or bi-weekly carwash. SERVICES: First off, they hand wash all the cars. The general pricing from my understanding it is $10 for early morning carwash only (no tire shine), $15 for hand carwash and tire shine, $25 for inside and outside, vacuum and all that stuff, then the prices go up from there for other services such as wax, carpet shampoo, full detail, etc. The first time I got my car washed here, it was EXCELLENT. I mean, I was crazy impressed. Today it was just okay, a new girl washed it and she didn't do as well as the guy who did it last time. But still for the price, and proximity to my house I like it and will be coming back. There are about three other $10 hand car washes in the general midtown area, but again for me this 14th street location is ideal. They also have drop off services (and maybe even pick up services). This honestly has to be the best concept for a carwash I have ever experienced in my young life. The only thing that would make it better is some type of inside outside $15 special, like once a week or something... maybe a "lady's day" on Wednesday or Tuesday. INSIDE/BISTRO: What impressed me today was going inside the bistro, OMG this place is nice! It's like a freakin' lounge... a really nice and upscale lounge, which isn't obvious from the exterior. They serve a FULL MENU: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert, and alcohol (full bar). They even have a VIP section, lol....And as of now it's really clean and nice in there and the lady at the front where you pay was really friendly. I even think they cater?! SUMMARY: This really is the "country club" of car washes, and the classiest car wash there is in the US. I really hope they keep up the good customer service because that is what MAKES a business in this day in age. I travel further to certain places JUST because the service is better. All in all, this is a great place to go get a hand wash,and it never seems to get too busy since they have the most amazing hours on Earth-- 7am-11pm. Yes, you read that right... it's on their Facebook page, what kind of amazing madness is that?! I can totally see this franchised out sometime down the road, it's definitely the next BETTER, luxury version of Cactus Carwash, mainly because they hand wash cars. Machines can mess up a car, and anyone who truly loves their ride prefers a hand wash over anything especially if you drive a luxury vehicle. I'll re-rate once I actually eat in there and everything, but so far so good. I'm glad I finally decided to get my car washed here after passing it so many times. read more

So when I was taking a class at Georgia Tech, I would always pass by the "Auto Spa Bistro." One day I decided to go, and asked if they had a special. They said it was $10 for an exterior wash. I thought it was a good deal, and they said it was $5 extra for tire "dressing" (I think that's what he called it). I got the exterior wash and tire dressing for $15. I guess the wash is inexpensive because they expect car-wash customers to go into the bistro to get some food... I didn't go in to eat, so I waited in the room on the right. It said "No pictures allowed," but I took some pictures anyway. This room looked very worn out and old. The sofas were pink and tacky. There was a TV playing some sort of reality show. The room had a huge window where I could see my car getting squeaky clean. I believe I waited ~25 minutes for my car, and it wasn't even busy. I'm not sure if 25 minutes is fast or slow service for exterior and tire. Anyway, the people working there were friendly... a little too friendly, but that's fine I guess. Service was alright. The cashier lady was very confused and it took ~10 minutes for me to pay. I think the computer was down or something. I'll probably go back if I'm in the area! read more

I'm use to paying $25 max for inside and out so i definitely won't be coming back. Thought i was gonna eat food but not many options for us vegans outside of a bean burger. Absolutely amazing car wash. Never again will I go to Cactus. I went this morning and had a great experience. I just dropped the dog off at day-care and decided to stop in to try this place out. I was expecting a couple of bagels and coffee -- but WOW, I had an amazing FULL breakfast (bacon, eggs, toast, fruit)...and a great bloody mary! The car looked great and the people were incredibly nice. I can't say enough how much I like this place. Ps. Having driven by this place numerous times, curiosity finally got the better of me and 4 of us stopped by for brunch yesterday. Considering the overall experience here - Auto Spa Bistro fell to the middle of the road. This place is combination car wash and restaurant. You pull up and someone approaches you and asks what you need. I asked if they had a set service list and got the reply of "we do everything". I asked for an exterior wash and interior vacuum and wipe-down. They told me $30 - a little pricier than my normal spot but not totally out of line. Once you drop your car - head in to the lounge area to pay the cashier. I liked that I could put tip on the card. Hang on to that receipt though because that's your ticket to get your car back. Now you have two choices: if you want to eat or drink, you can hang out in the restaurant. If you don't want to eat or drink, they have a separate car wash waiting area. We sat for brunch around 10am. They have a couple options for seating: bar, a few low tables, several high-top tables, and then an area with big cushy chairs with small tables. The whole dining area is pretty small but it's not like they've got a ton of customers or anything. We opted to sit where there chairs are. I was concerned that the tiny cocktail tables would be inadequate for actually eating off of, but we later learned each one expanded for extra space. Smart! Due to some unfortunate circumstances, it took nearly 30 mins to get our orders taken. Not totally their fault; some of those who RSVPed didn't show up, and the waitress was waiting to approach us until our entire group was there. Also, the only other table in the restaurant ordered a bloody mary and she didn't have the mix ready and on-hand, so she made it from scratch. Still - it took them nearly 20-25 mins to get their bloody mary, which seemed like a really long time for that. We got our orders taken and waited what I felt was a bit too long for food, but I wasn't checking my watch at that point. I may have just been feeling antsy from the long wait to order. When food did arrive it all looked pretty great. I had the deep fried french toast. I was disappointed that it was a little cool instead of hot or warm, but that's not going to stop me from eating it. Overall I liked the dish but thinking back, the menu did mention it came with whipped cream and berries and I didn't receive those. I also tried the grits from another person at our table, and my description is "they do not suck". Better than most places who offer grits, not the best ever. Everyone else seemed pretty happy with their food. When we asked for checks we were able to get checked out pretty quickly. The whole meal took about 1.5 hrs, so unfortunately I can't recommend the bistro as a "grab a quick bite" spot, which seems like would be more in line with a car wash place. I exited the lounge area and wasn't sure where to go, so I just started walking towards my car. Someone did finally approach me after some yelling amongst the employees. They told me they couldn't get all the sand out of my car and it would require a shampooing to do so. But when I looked inside I couldn't find one spec of sand. Sounds to me like they are perfectionists - something you definitely want at a car wash! I thought my car looked pretty great, inside and out. They definitely did a much better job on the interior than my normal place does. I think they could really go a long way to improve customer experience, which is why I'm at 3 stars. There could be a lot more signage, for example, where to enter and park your car. They also really need to provide a list of services for customers to choose from. I'm not a car wash expert, so I'm not sure what's available. This is the type of service where I always fall for the upsell from the "basic" to "improved" washes - which they could offer, if there was an actual list of services. Their employees could be a little more friendly and hospitable, because at times I felt that we were treading that line between "our business isn't appreciated" and "we feel like a nuisance to the employees". A simple, "is this your first time here?" would have probably answered all of our questions and made me feel more welcome. Finally- the website is in dire need of updating and addition of content. It was a fun experience but I'm not sure I'll return. Definitely worthwhile to check out the business model! read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. First of all me and my girls get there. The server tells us we can't order food because the chef was GONE! Ma'am what?!? In the middle of a shift just poof? She says he'll be back in 20 minutes. So we order some drinks and a hookah. Hookah was trash. (I own my own hookah business so I know what a good hookah supposed to taste like) burnt hookah wrong stem to the base. I almost dropped it bc it wasn't secured. We waited almost an hour for the chef to come back. Finally he's back. We place our orders.... Food takes another 30-35 minutes to come out.... And everything is gross. My girl ordered lamb chops medium. They come out well over well done. Me and my other girl order wings.... Big ass plate 6 wings soggy as a mf. No crisp or crunch to them what so ever. The last homie ordered the vegan sloppy jo. Little to no meat, no sauce and the wrong type of fries. It took 15 minutes for the server to bring some JUICE. JUICE!!!! Then when we ask the server to get the owner/manager she wanna play stupid like she don't know where he is. Like she ain't just see him walk inside. So I go inside to look for him myself. I ask another server for him. She stated "I think my coworker looking for him" sis was at our table giving us the check. Baby girl we ain't ask for that. We asked for the OWNER. Now she wanna walk around looking for him. We go to leave and he say he gonna take care of our tab. Hell yea because this is unacceptable. We could've been somewhere else getting drunk and enjoying our food well over 2 hours ago. Never. Again. Black owned businesses need to do better. I've come here off and on for about a year and have always been pleased with the way my car looks afterwards. The staff are cool and always answers any questions and they always allow you to look over your car to address any issues before you drive off. Depending on what time you get here, you might need your patience hat on but if you get here pretty early, they'll have you out in about 20 to 30 mins, which I think is pretty decent. The dining experience is okay but I will say their drinks are realllly good. The service in the bistro is really "hit-or-miss"...you may have a good waitress/waiter or you may not*shrug*. Never had the food and I'm normally not here waiting long enough to try it out. Overall, I'd recommend this place if you're in the area as they do a really good job. Food, full bar, nice waiting area. It makes waiting for a car wash a little better especially since it takes them 25-30 minutes for the wash. Overall, the car looked nice but we still had to do some spot cleans on the leather in the car, clean the inside of the car, and wipe out some spots that they missed on the outside. For $25 you get an exterior wash with an inside vacuum. The quality was good, but not great since we had to clean a little on our own afterwards. The Auto Spa Bistro This is the first time I have encountered a car wash with a full service bar and a menu. Atlanta's version of upscale services are very different (not in a bad way) just different than South Florida. Location- located on 14th street. GPS takes you there without confusion. Pros- Assistance as soon as I pulled in. Everyone is working hard, it was busy, with that being said you don't want that be I the situation where your waiting to be attended to. Cons- if it's packed I don't know where you will park. Maybe a Menu with prices for customers as they pull up so you know your options. Inside- I appreciate that there are signs that prevent it from being the hang out spot such as no marijuana smoking or hoodies on the inside of the building. This seems to be the culture of ATL. For a 40 dollar car wash and advertised dine in I think you would like a comfortable ambiance. The food-it was ok. I would recommend an appetizer because of cost-to-quality comparison I had the Calamari and a sweet tea. Total was 13 and change. The Calamari was ok not great quality. To wrap this up. My car was cleaned I got the 40 dollar service which is inside and outside. I believe it is 35 before 6:00pm and 5 dollar up charge after. The inside and outside looked good. The guy who was helping me asked me to check the car before I left which I appreciated. I was treated like a customer rather than a number. First time visiting, I needed an interior and exterior wash after driving through snow and having a friends dog in my car. The place is very popular and I had fun watching all the different cars come through while I waited (this must be the spot of choice for Lamborghinis, bentleys, corvettes etc... I actually felt a little out of place with my humble Mazda SUV) - they seemed to be doing a pretty efficient job with plenty of staff, but my wash took ~45 minutes total. I didn't eat while I was there but the food actually looked pretty good. One issue was the team missed my trunk, but when I realized it later that evening I stopped back by and they apologized and made it right immediately. Like I said it was pretty busy so it was probably just an oversight. I'm happy to go back next time I need a good interior detailing and a wash. read more

I paid $90.00 and they did not even touch the inside of my vehicle. They did not even wipe down the dashboard or inner door panels. I took it there due to spilling cabbage juice in my trunk and was very transparent about it and asked that they shampoo the trunk. You think they did? Nope!!! Upon speaking with the manager Travis, he was very unprofessional, nonchalant, unconcerned and offered no remedy to the issue at hand. I do not recommend. I heard so many great things about this spot, so I'm disappointed that my experience wasn't up to par. It took them an hour and 30 mins to wash my small car. It was overpriced for (honestly) the worst car wash I've ever received. There was so much dirt left on my car and when I voiced this I was told to "come back tomorrow because we're super busy." So I did. When I returned the next day, I was never offered to fix the issues and the older manager wanted to charge me to fix what they had miss. *DISCLAIMER* the 3 Stars are for the service because the food was great!!! We came in on Sunday around 12:30(usual brunch time) and seated ourselves. After a wait, we were finally able to place our drink and food orders. Our server was fairly new and was basically waiting tables on her own. We waited a really long time for our food but thankfully it was worth the wait. My sister asked for ketchup from one server and she literally said "ok" and walked to cash register and never came back. My sister also ordered pancakes that we didn't receive until we were leaving. I tasted them and they were really yummy, even after waiting over an hour for them. After eating, we waited an additional 30 minutes just to cash out. The service was enough to make me write this place off for good but apparently this was abnormal so I will give it one more try. read more

Don't get fooled by the bentleys rolling in...the only reason this establishment is still going is location. We've taken the car here on a few occasions and they do a very subpar job washing it. Last time left lots of dirt around the door handles and other parts of the car. On top of it, they got the interior mats dirty when they move the car across the lot with dirty shoes. To summarize, you get one thing semi-cleaned here and others dirty, so what's the point? read more

This is not a bad 3 star. I think they did a very good job on the outside of the car, missed a few spots, but nothing big. They didn't clean the inside too well. I paid $125 for wax and everything for my truck and gave a $20 tip. For that amount the truck should have been immaculate inside and out. Nevertheless, I will go back; however, I will only get the outside done with a regular wash with tire dressing. I'll clean the inside myself. I wish this place was a bit cheaper. $35 for a regular car wash and vacuum the inside is a bit much. But, you pay for location and novelty. That said, the guys are out there working hard. Waitress is checking out for the car wash and taking care of tables outside. Everyone was professional. Wash took less than a hour on Saturday afternoon. I didn't not try the food but did enjoy a mimosa. At the end my car was clean, my tires were shiny, my rugs had no dirt. so I am happy. most likely will return because I enjoy having something to do while waiting for my car. read more

I stopped in for a wash and a bite around 11:30 am on a Thursday. 5 stars for the food and the customer service in the restaurant. 2.5 stars for the wash. The meal: No joke, I had one of the best omelets of my life here. I ordered the Volvo omelet with bacon, home fries, and toast. Wow -- everything on the plate tasted great. The omelet was fluffy and packed with veggies and bacon. They definitely did not skimp on the quality or quantity of ingredients. Potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Hell, even the toast tasted good. In addition, my server was extremely friendly and attentive. Very impressed. The wash: I looked online and saw that a basic wash and vacuum is $30. When I arrived I told the attendant what I wanted and was told it would be extra because there was some pet hair in the back seat. OK, fine. $40 it is. I was also told that the trunk would be vacuumed. When they finished I popped the trunk and...it had not been vacuumed. The attendant noticed and came over to take care of it. No big deal since it was immediately taken care of. Inside the backseat there was still pet hair. Not a ton, but enough to be noticeable. I'll have to go over it with a sticky brush to get the rest. I was annoyed to find hair since I specifically paid extra to clean it, but at this point I needed to get back to work. Overall a below average car wash experience. I found this place randomly cause I was in the area and I have kids who spilled chips all over my car. I brought it in for a wash. They told me where to pay and it had a restaurant and bar. The hostess/bartender was so nice and attentive. It was not many people in there today and she handled the few by herself. I got the salmon with mash and broccoli. And I ordered a cheese for my friend. The cheesecake was presented amazingly. The salmon looked good but unfortunately tasting it , the salmon nor the mash potatoes had any flavor. I had the teriyaki sauce on the side which I didn't realize how much the food needed the sauce and salt to give it some flavor. Once I added the flavor enhancers it was pretty good. The salmon was around 20$ & the cheesecake was over 10$ . My car wash was also good no complaint there. That car wash was 35$. It was vacuumed very well. Would go back. Maybe the difference in food will be the dining in option. I had my food to go. Might give it another shot on another day. read more

Today's experience was the worst ! Ordered chicken and waffles which were almost $22 Let me start by saying I wouldn't mind paying that much for quality food , but the food was not good at all . I was expecting more from them since I always get the vegan sloppy joe. I ask the "manager" how much my food would come out to be and she told me about $13 so how do we get to $22 I ask , she said because I'm taking it Togo . So u mean I'm getting charged about $9 for a to go order? How convenient right? I would expect a manager to have mentioned extra charges for batter ... yes batter for them to fry my freaken wings?!? This place has become over rated and over priced!!!! The first few visits they did a decent job. The last time was just unacceptable, the drinks were over priced. They charged us a $100 to wash my mustang Gt and my man, Potés challenger Rt, which was not up to par. It also took 1 hour to receive food. Great concept! The one thing I dislike about getting my car washed is the wait. There's nothing better than grabbing a nice meal while getting my car washed. I've only been once but I hope my future visits are just as pleasing. Car wash - the guys did a great job. I arrived on a Sunday morning just before 10:30 and it wasn't very busy. That's a good thing. Being my first time there, I pulled into the exit but the guys directed me to the proper place. They were very nice and directed me to the restaurant. They come in the restaurant to let you know when your car is finished. When I walked out I was very pleased with the condition of my car. I opted to get my car waxed and they did a very good job. Bistro/Restaurant - There were no other patrons in the restaurant but the young lady at the bar was very nice. I placed to order for my friends and me and waited for them to join me. I typically don't eat pancakes but I'd heard good things so I ordered the mini cooper meal - pancakes, bacon, eggs and grits. The pancakes were DELICIOUS!!! The bacon was cooked to perfection. I got my eggs scrambled with cheese - they were ok and the grits could use a little salt but overall I was pleased with my meal. A good meal at a reasonable price. I think this will be my new regular car wash spot. read more

I love my car after a visit here! The guys that wash are great! The food is decent for a car wash, and the drinks are really on point... BUT the guy name Mint (The owner) is soooo NOT people friendly. I've heard him degrade the guys that wash cars and he doesn't greet customers. Now I know my little $30 won't make it break him but common courtesy goes a long way. ‍ read more

This place does a great job cleaning cars very detailed. As well they offer a comfortable lounge to wait for your car with a full bar and a restaurant. The person inside is very nice and the workers that clean the cars are very nice as well. I will be coming back! read more

The fact of having your car washed while eating chicken and waffles is a winner for me. However service could be better. I think there was only one waitress. And it appears a lot of high rollers come thru and they are given special attention ... but with hands raised my money spends like theirs. IJS THE MUSIC HEARD ABOVE WAS THE BEST...I can't wait to get back there just for the music alone. Great concept, will tell all my traveling friends about this place for sure! read more

What an interesting experience. The FOOD is actually OUTSTANDING here, and I enjoyed my breakfast immensely. The car wash service left me feeling a little "iffy". I had a ScoutMob deal, and got treated in that "oh, you have a Groupon" way. You know the "way". The guy clearly didn't want to do my car, and told me he'd "find someone else" to do it. I guess they had to do a coin toss to determine who would be servicing my vehicle, as 1hour and 10 minutes later, and a delicious meal, my car still wasn't ready. Well, it was partially ready- the guy had walked off from it for a bathroom break, and left my doors open and all- (really?). Anyway, they did an ok job. I still had to touch up and revacum the inside, so I wouldn't have been happy if I hadn't had a deal. I don't plan on going back unless there's another super special. read more

Such a crazy mindfuck of a place -- from the outside, you've got what seems like a regular ol' dingy carwash -- you see a sign that says there's food and you go in, out of sheer curiosity. You're presented with lush velvet seating areas, high chairs and tables, velvet walls and two TVs, with a full and well-stocked bar, from which they serve all day. There's a buffet there - $5 at an already confusing place. It's got a pretty damn good spread of comfort food, a sprinkling of international cuisine and some veggies. You can see people pass by and look as confused as you probably looked through the tinted windows. I don't know what I've bumped into, but it seems like it'll be a long and prosperous love affair. read more
