My new favorite local business! Had some very dead tires on one of my vehicles and missed the Black Friday sales. The best price I could find was $120 installed at Walmart, but I'd have to wait 2 days for an appointment. Called Auto Stop and talked to Bob and he had a full set of my tires for $65 each out the door. Drove on over and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Came back later in the day with another vehicle and they took care of me with that one as well. Incredible and honest service! I got a flat tire and as a single female living out of state from any family I'd usually rely on to help me figure it out; I was panicked. I got a tow to Auto Stop Used Tires because the reviews looked promising...and I'm happy to share that the service lived up to it! "Twin" is absolutely awesome, he showed me where the problem was (even stuck it in a water tank so I could see exactly the issue) and offered me two options of either patching the tire or buying a new used one (both at incredible prices). He didn't pressure me into any which way nor the more expensive choice. I went with purchasing a new used tire, and all in all I was driving off the lot within 20 minutes of arriving! I called ahead and asked for pricing on a tire. They said $50. When I got there they said the tire should be fine once they fill it back up and fix the bent rim. Once he put the tire back on he told me it would still shake at fast speeds and that I will need to get a tire and that they needed to order one (when they told me on the phone they had it in stock). He charged me $40 bucks for that. So I payed ten bucks less than a price for a tire and all they did was fill it up with air and bend the rim. Total rip off read more

One of the OWNERS of the shop did not tighten the bolts down on my wheel and I drove off and the damn wheel nearly fell off! They ended up having to replace the studs on the hub and wasted nearly 5 hours of my Saturday. So this review is long overdue. Fate has a way of making life... "interesting." I had JUST paid off my car and was on my way to see "The Day of the Doctor" on a cold Austin evening. "Well, wait a second..." says Fate, "That's too much good stuff happening in a row." So there was this invisible yellow waist high pole that one of the buses knocked over on a turnabout by my office (F U Capital Metro!) and blamo! Blown tire and (I didn't know it at the time) bent tie rod. Long story short, a few days later I slowly rolled my car to Auto Stop Used Tired and they had a tire for me that was both cheap and in really good condition for a used tired. They also offered to fill up the air in my other tires! Oh, and they were super quick. There was someone else ahead of me and I didn't have time to think, "Are they done yet?" Super honest and helpful. Got me 3 used tires with at least 70% tread life for only $120 with installation. Spotted a bent tie rod that every shop and alignment specialist failed to notice. I went there this morning. The taller gentleman is really nice and helpful, but he is not in charge. The "boss" shorter gentleman is a complete dick. He is smart, but has not social skill. He made fun of my bmw z4, did not give me a price quote before anything, and was exceptionally rude to his colleague. I will never go there, and I do not recommend anyone to go to this shop. Not sure why I have been cursed with flat tires, maybe it's my bad car karma at it again, but Auto Stop has been there for me... three times for three different tires! I don't speak Spanish, just a little spanglish here and there which makes it challenging to go to the little independent shops here on the east side and I'm not willing to pay $30 to fix a flat at the fancy English speaking places. Lucky for me one of the guys who seems to be the boss man speaks English at Auto Stop. $10 to fix my flat AND they are super fast, especially if no one else is waiting. There are always a few extra guys around visiting along with a couple token dirty tire shop cats, which gives it a hang out kinda feel which I find endearing. I wish I could have taken my car (limping with shredded tire) to him, as he found what I needed immediately.. but, after I went to NTB *boooo*, a few days later, and my son's truck has the very same problem with tires (and same tires, too) as my car had.
