There was no pressure, no scare tactics--just honest helpful advice. He walked me through my options, explained everything clearly, and gave me different price points to fit my budget. In the end, I decided to go ahead and replace all four tires since they all needed it and it made the most sense for me. I really appreciated the transparency, kindness, and how relaxed the whole experience was. It's not every day you leave an auto shop with a smile on your face! This is my 2nd experience with Brian at Hubcap Daddy in Maitland. The first time I was cut off and ran over a median, ruining 3 out of 4 of the rins and run flat tires on my Lexus SC430. The replacement cost was outrageous so I shopped around. Thankfully, I found this business and he not only gave me a great price, he also made the process as painless and easy as possible. I came here because of the Yelp reviews. Wish I didn't come across this place. I came here & needed my tire changed. I notified him that my tire pressure is supposed to be at 40 and multiple times it would randomly drop down to 19 while it's parked. He said oh you may not need to change the entire tire it may still be good it can be a leak and you would just need to patch it. (Yet alone I'm happy thinking to myself he's not trying to steal my money buy just changing my tire he actually wants to fix it) boy was I wrong. He just wanted an easy $10 knowing the outcome. It was all patched up once he found the leak & I went on with my day. The following day I wake up and notice my tire pressure back down to 20. I give him a call to notify him and he stated "oh come by and I won't charge you" of course ur not going to charge me, you failed to fix my tire not even 12 hours before. So I arrived at this place & he takes my tire off and notices there a huge bulge on my tire and says oh your tire was going to blow up within 2 minutes more of driving I can't allow u to leave like this. Then he states I'm going to give you this tire (gave me no option and put a tire that was no where near in good condition but of course better than a tire with a bulge) he changed my tire and says ok I'm gonna charge you $15 for this tire at $10 for labor. Are you serious ?! I just paid you $10 yesterday for a patch that didn't last 12 hours so now I have to pay you an extra $25?! So $35 for a used tire that's not in good condition?! Ridiculous!!! He took advantage of me because I am a female & he knows I couldn't leave without a tire. If you don't know everything about cars I would never suggest to go here. I'm a long time Yelp lurker but have never posted a review until today because, well -- I just had to. I've never done business with any place like Hubcap Daddy, and I can honestly say -- until this week, I didn't even realize businesses this honest and down to earth existed. Brian, the owner, and Sven were amazing; two of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. The short story is that I hit a curb so hard that I bent my rim and after visiting the third tire shop, they suggested I try HubCap Daddy in Maitland. I'm so glad I did. Brian and Sven were awesome. It took two days to get my rim back but in the meantime they gave me a spare rim to drive on so that I could get around on something a little safer than the tiny donut I drove in with. Initially, I had planned on driving to Atlanta for Thanksgiving and when I told Brian I'd be gone a week, he didnt bat an eye and said, "see you in a week." I don't know about you, but I've never known a shop to do something like that for free, without a deposit or anything in return. I even questioned them about giving them a deposit or something before driving off... they didn't want a dime until my rim came back. Fortunately, the rim ended up being ready in two days rather than three so I didn't have to wait another week after all. They may be a small independent shop, but they also sell tires -- not just hubcap and rims, and I can honestly say I'll be back. I'll need new tires soon and the service they provided made me a customer for life. I'd rather spend my money with people I trust and aren't out to upsell or get every last penny they can out of you. They really are straight forward and honest. I love these guys. And to be clear, they're fair and reasonable too. I called around to find a replacement rim and for one rim, it would have cost me $550 bucks. (I have an older Acura) Hubcap Daddy fixed my original rim and saved me a ton -- well over $400. We called and got the price for our truck tires. He was a little cheaper for the same tires. If he doesn't have your tires he will order them. We pulled in back and the tires were on in just a few minutes. While I was there several people came in for hub caps he gave one away to an older lady. He did several things Customer service for people. Everyone that came in he helped. It's great to help individual private owned small businesses. Buyer beware of this place! When one calls on the phone and asks for a plastic 15" hubcap, he says they run $5. When one goes in, he changes his script to $15! When asked about the $5 he mentioned on the phone, he says that he just says it on the phone to get customers to come in and offers garbage for $5 (scratched up/cracked/dirty hubcaps). Not only does he bait and switch, he argues with you regarding what car make your rim belongs to (Honda vs Buick), not to mention the owner/salesman is drinking beer when you walk in makes a great first impression!!! First and last time I would deal with this place..this place is a joke! I ended up getting a better quality, clean, mint rim from a local salvage yard for $5. I called and asked the man who answered the phone about a used hubcap for my vehicle. He said that he had many in stock and they are between $15 to $40 but after driving about half an hour to this business the man who I spoke with on the phone went in the back and brought me a very scratched up all over with many deep cut and said that he only has this scratched up hubcap, but "most people trade in the other 3 one and get these 4 new one" . When I told him that I don't want to trade my good metal ones for plastic one, and if he had the new original one. He angrily and loudly said yes, "the car dealer" for $90 each. This guy is not just rude but also dishonest. I clearly gave him the year, make and model of my car and he told me on the phone that he had many in stock just to drag me to his store so he can pull the oldest trick BAIT & SWITCH. He knew he didn't have my hubcap in stock and the hubcap that he showed me he knows no one will buy it and he just keep it to get his customers to buy new ones. This guy is not only has no respect for his customers time by lying to them about having the hubcap in stock, he also lacks respect and friendly customer service. Just plain con artist. read more

I have never been so insulted in my LIFE!!! The manager called me a liar TWICE!!! I asked for a price on a single 16" hubcap for a Toyota sedan. He stated $35. I was taken back by the greatly inflated price from what I had seen listed earlier on Ebay by other sellers. So, I stated, "Wow. I can get a set of 4 hubcaps for $26 on Ebay." To which the manager replied, "You're a liar. If you can get them that cheap then buy them and I'll buy them from you." I was shocked that a business manager or owner would tell a customer (right or wrong) that they are a liar. Then, I asked if he had any generic hubcaps. He replied, "Those would be $60." Again, shocked at how a generic would cost more, I stated, "That's crazy. How is a generic more expensive than the Toyota brand." To which he replied, "Well, that's what they cost and if you can get them cheaper on Ebay then do it. But I still think you are a liar." As he was making this last statement, he turned his back and walked into the repair garage leaving me standing in the store alone. This was quite possibly the most unprofessional, moronic dimwit that I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with!!!! BUYER BEWARE. read more
