I bring all my cars here for regular maintenance like oil changes, brake fluids, differential fluid and coolant fluids maintenance, brake pad and rotor replacements. They've also handled bigger repairs such as an axle seal leak, valve cover gasket leak, and fixing warped rotors. Everything has always been done right the first time. What really sets this place apart is that Anthony does most of the work himself, and after the job is done, you hear directly from him about what was done and why. He's very polite and easy to talk to, and you never feel like you're being ripped off. The quality is as good as--or better than--the dealership, using original Toyota parts, but without dealership prices. No middleman, no customer service rep--just straight answers from the person actually working on your car. He also documents major repairs with before-and-after photos and will even check in a day or two later to make sure everything's driving well. Most importantly, they're honest, reliable, and trustworthy. I've never had an issue in the 10+ years I've been coming here. If you're looking for a shop you can actually trust, I highly recommend TLS Auto Service.

I found JB Automotive through Yelp, and from the very first message, Jorge stood out from everyone else. Every question I had was answered thoroughly through Yelp messages and email. Jorge took the time to explain things in detail, answer all of my concerns, and even provide additional information that helped me make an informed decision. Unlike some of the other shops I contacted, I never felt rushed or like I was bothering him with questions. JB Automotive completed major work on my 2012 Subaru Forester, including the head gaskets, seals, hoses, and other components that made sense to replace while everything was apart. Jorge even recommended additional preventative items that would save labor and money in the long run. He replaced O-rings and other wear items, and in some cases did not charge additional labor because the work overlapped with what was already being done. That level of honesty is hard to find. The quality of work has been outstanding. My Subaru only has 87,000 miles on it, and after the repairs it honestly feels like a new vehicle again. I returned a second time to continue refreshing the suspension and undercarriage components because I trust the work being done. Compared to what the dealership quoted, I was able to get significantly more work completed for a much better value, all while using quality OEM parts. The prices were fair, the communication was excellent, and I always felt like Jorge genuinely cared about doing the job correctly rather than just selling me repairs. Based on my experience, I have complete confidence that if an issue were to come up a month, two months, or even several months down the road, he would stand behind his work and make it right. JB Automotive is now my go-to shop, and Jorge has earned my trust. Finding an honest, knowledgeable mechanic is not easy, but I can confidently say I found one. If you're looking for a shop that values quality work, communication, honesty, and customer service, this is the place to go.

I drove a…read morefew blocks to a gas station, added air, then went to Goodyear for a repair and tire rotation. After about 45 minutes, the technician called saying he needed to speak with me. I told him I was there waiting, and he seemed surprised. Had I not been on-site to check the tire myself, I likely would have just agreed to his recommendation over the phone. He then told me the tire couldn't be repaired and needed replacement, claiming it had been driven flat due to faint sidewall marks and a "burnt" smell. I explained it was never driven flat--only a few blocks while low on air--and I didn't notice any unusual smell when he tried to demonstrate. I asked them to repair it anyway, but he refused. Another employee offered to open the tire to show the damage, but after inspecting it, he couldn't find any issues--the tire was still good. They eventually repaired it as requested. It's only been a few hours, but everything seems fine so far. I didn't appreciate being pushed to replace a tire that's less than a year old, especially since I drive under 7,000 miles a year working mostly from home. Sharing photos of all four tires, including a close-up , part of the sides are hard to see. Just be careful with people trying to get you to replace something that doesn't need to be.

I don't write reviews often but Chet's deserves one here…read more I took my 2007 Honda CRV to Chet's (Vu), as I was having steering issues and some noises after recent repair from two different mechanics. Vu took it immediately for a test drive with me in the passenger seat. He could feel the same issue I did. He then put it on the lift and inspected it thoroughly. He wasn't sure of the issue exactly but was transparent in the discussion and thinking. Given the car had been worked on recently by others, I can understand why he would be hesitant to take it on. He noted that "my reputation is more important than one car" or similar, which I understand and respect too, as he said he has been in business for 20 years. He considered his best recommended repair with available information but wasn't pushing it, as it's a pricey repair. Looking to get a second opinion, he then had a different co-worker take another look. The co-worker slid under the car and was able to identify an issue, which was a loose bolt from the prior mechanic. The team right then lifted the car and tightened all the bolts, then took it on a second test drive, and the sounds went away and the steering issue seemed improved. Vu spent about an hour on this work combined with another 15-20 minutes from two or three other people too. After all that, he told me not to pay anything, though I offered! He could have pushed the more expensive repair and I would have very likely gone ahead with it, but he didn't. I need to test drive it further to see how it ddrives, but Vu said if still having issues to come back then to discuss where we go from there. For now, the sounds at least have gone away which is promising! Thank you!!!

Even though Vu was single handed and getting multiple phone calls, Vu was still very patient in discussing repair options. Dropped off my car around 9:30am and got a call back around 2:30pm saying repair was completed. Instead of having a couple of sensors replaced (~$300), Vu said he had found and replaced a rat chewed cable connector (~$60) that resolved check engine light. He charged me for cable connector and honest labor, and car is running fine again. I know where I will be taking my car for any future repairs.
