The staff is very professional and friendly, the facilities are clean and the waiting room is nice. I decided to do my oil change and inspection here after reading the Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. My favorite thing was that after the inspection they gave me a detailed report with suggestions of what needs to be done to my car ranging from urgent to optional. A staff member went over the report with me, explaining what each thing meant since I don't have a wide knowledge of mechanics. In addition, they gave me a care package for being my first time there, which included a letter opener, a pen, band-aids and a manual of what to do in case of an accident. This place is great. The first time I took my car here It was still under warranty and they actually suggested I take my vehicle to the dealer so that I could benefit from the warranty. Absolutely wonderful shop. I've followed them from their old location. Their service is top notch. I had to post a review after my last visit. I had purchased tires and had them installed. Less than a month later, after loading the entire family in the car, I backed out and started to drive when I found I had a nail with wood in the end stuck in my tire. I don't ever have time for reviews, but these guys more than deserve it. I came in and told the clerk I was moving to TX later that week, wanted to know if my car was good for the trip (If you're in sales, you just heard "I have 0 return potential regardless of your service quality today. Make as much off me as you can, then get me out the door"). They treated me like family, had answers for all my dumb questions, drove me home to wait for my COURTESY inspection (100% could've charged for diagnostics, I asked for a full check). Within an hour, they texted me any concerns w/ pics for context, and told me I forgot my wallet (which had oh idk ~$500 in loose bills?), and my passport on the back seat floor. Told me what was necessary to fix for the trip, and what I could put off (again, fully aware they wouldn't get any business they didn't take that day). After I confirmed everything, they fixed it all in a couple hours. From hello, to driving off the lot, all in one afternoon. I'm not exaggerating. I've maybe wrote 1 other review for a business my entire life (I'm 30). I support people who do their job because they care about it, not because it makes them money. David is absolutely wonderful. I brought my car here to get an oil change. It was supposed to be full synthetic but they accidentally put regular. He appologized and given it was the end of the day, he just said to come back whenever it was convenient and they'd change it to full synthetic. He didn't charge me for the regular oil change, it was all on trust that I'd come back. These guys are super professional, they don't try and push extras on you, and from the diagnostics I've overheard them make, they sound pretty fair and honest. First I am giving a star review just because of the business and them not listening to the customer. It's sucks because I think the lady in the office was very nice and that what made me stay and give them my business Other than that. I will say don't waste you money. This place charged to diagnose your car (I think it was $135 or something ) then the repairs. I mean I get business but when man many many others like North Hollywood Auto and BAE on Burbank Blvd and I can list at least 10 more for sure Will charge you the same if not less and if you decide to get the repairs they put the amount towards the whole total. If you don't get the repairs then yes , they charge you the fee. This okay way too much. I brought my car in to have it looked at (I had just left two other mechanics that hooked it up and told me what the problem was ) they just didn't have the time to squeeze me in and I wanted to get it taken care of. So when I brought my car here to Auto Aid I told them the same things and what the reading were in the car. David ignored what i said, charged me the fee then came back with something what had not one thing to do with the engine. (This actually coming from the direct dealership mechanics) but yet auto aid still insisted that it was the problem even though I told David it wasn't. But $400 later and just FYI ( Don't be fooled. Every Mechanic knows how to reset and turn off a check engine light as a matter of fact just look it up in youtube. It will show you ). This is not a fix. But to the average person it will look like a problem solved. So as soon as I got my car back in less than 24 hours the engine light came back in. What? I just when got get this fixed I called right back thinking that this place would say come back in and let's check maybe something we missed. Lol. Yes they said come in but of course charged the fee once again even though I have just left less that 24 hours. And then came back with something else. Of coarse they would not take responsibility as if this was a new issue that had just popped up and they did not see it before. As a matter of fact David himself proceeded to tell me that there were a bunch of codes that came back but it would take so long for them to go through each and every code. Now I'm confused at this point because isn't that the reason why I brought the car in? Isn't that their job to find out where the problem is and fix it? So why tell me that there are a bunch of codes that came back but you just didn't take the time to go through them? So it's safe for me to say that this was something that they missed because they didn't look for it the first time I brought the car to them. I think that this company has a hard time listening to customers. On the phone talking to David twice I asked him to check something on the car for me he said that he would. I ask this twice. When I went to pick up the car I found out that David or nobody had even checked what I had asked him to check. It wasn't even mentioned. So the second time after I brought the car in and was charged another 500+ dollars I started to think to myself. Does this place really know what they are doing when it come to my car brand? Do I keep bringing my car here to keep racking up $$$$ and never have the problem fixed? So I decided to try something. I looked up a legit repair place that works with my car model And right away. $150 to read and check It it goes to the cost of the repair. Then boom here is the problem. They told me the same same thing that the first two places told me. Then fixed it. I though why did not auto aid do the same and just fix it Instead of telling me things like it's the windshield wipers or it's because a brake light is out (this is an example ) again the things that auto aid was telling me was the problem, but not one thing to do with the engine. It took me a while to want to write this review as I was just going to leave it alone and walk away. But after taking it to another mechanic and them fixing the problem right away it made me think just how I just wasted Post to $1000 for nothing. read more

I paid a lot of money to get my car fixed. When I got my car back it ran way worse than ever did before. A week later my coolant system was spraying all over the engine in my car broke down. The coolant leak was one of the things they were supposed to fix. There was also other parts that I paid for that we're not replaced. I took my car to this shop and spent $2000 my car was dead a week later and I had to buy a new car. The employees were really nice but none of the work got done and I believe my car would've lasted a lot longer if I took it anywhere else . this has affected my rent, living situation and almost every financial part of my life. The place was Kenny's automotive and Doug has worked on my cars over the last several years. AutoAid recently purchased the business. The most recent experience was really a shocker. My 2006 Honda civic started spluttering, I had AAA tow it to the Van Nuys shop. Doug called me the next day informing me a coil and corresponding spark plug was bad. He also stated that the cost of the repairs would be in the range of $200 The "inspection" fee was $135. i agreed and said to proceed. Upon picking up the vehicle Doug presented a bill of $357 $30 for a Denso iridium spark plug $125 for a Denso Coil $135 for "inspection" $67 for labor to replace plug and coil. $3 for engine oil I was expecting that the $135 "inspection" fee would go towards the repairs as usual, alas this was NO longer the case. This is ridiculous! $30.90 for a spark plug! I can get the same one for under $10. The coils are $100 a four-pack!!! Looked up Denso brand for verification. $357.47 for Coil and spark plug on one of the most common cars. also added the bill so this post can be verified. To my surprise, they came to our house to pick up & drop off to us after the work was done. Now, to be fair, they do live out in Thousand Oaks, so to them it was not a problem. First of all they are very nice people. However, they are overpriced and not knowledgable with some older cars. They estimated that fixing my rear brakes would be over $400 and I found a place that was about a thrid less than that. Also, I took my car in to get an oil change and it was recommeded that I do a transmission flush, so I did. Afterwards my car started jerking when ever I accelerated. I called around and found out that a transmission flush should NOT be done on a car with over 100K miles: only change the fluid. This is something I expect the mechanic to know! Also, I asked which transmission fluid they used and they could not give a specific answer. My car requires a specific type. Because of the transmission flush done by them, no other mechanic will touch it, so, I have to continue to bring it back to them to fix. read more

Very friendly and prompt. Really nice people. However, they billed me a fairly large estimate without deducting it from the actual work that was done on my car. When I go to the dealership, they will charge a steep estimate - however, it is deducted from the final cost of work. I was surprised when AutoAid said they would not do this as well. They did find a bad crack on one of my tires and put the spare on for me, which was really helpful! However, I also asked them to look into my broken turn signal and they forgot to address that. If it hadn't have been for the additional cost of just the estimate, I would rate these guys higher - however, want to make people aware of this. read more

After getting an oil change at Jiffy Lube and being warned of an engine leak, coolant leak, and being recommended to do a pricey radiator flush I took my car to AutoAid. I dropped it off, purchased a rental, and mentally prepared myself for bad news and a huge bill. AutoAid called me within 24 hours of dropping off my car and informed me that THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG with it. They didn't charge me a dime and were even kind enough to buff out some scratches in the paint (without me even asking).
