Had my oil pressure sensor replaced in November and here it is April. Called for a warranty repair. Set the appointment and was told no charge. Then I get a quote for $160. Called customer service. Person was rude and said IF they determine it isn't their fault they are going to charge me and if they determine it isn't they may waive it. Asked for a supervisor. Surprise none are available. This company is a nightmare I tried to start my truck one morning after it sat for a few months with no luck, so I contacted Repairsmith.com and requested a No start diagnosis, their technician determined that the fuel pump needed to be replaced, and that I would have to make a second appointment for the replacement, which they said would take about two hours. The diagnosis with a delegate mobile repair fee came up to $184.99. I made the appointment and the second technician came out and installed the new pump, it took him about five hours! After the technician installed the pump, he informed me that the truck did start and ran for about 15 minutes at which point it shut off and would not start again. He told me that he believed it was a faulty pump right out of the box and since he had a couple more calls to go to that day, I would have to make another appointment, before he left he told me that I should change the fuel filter below the truck to make sure that it wasn't clogged and then he left! I contacted Repairsmith. They informed me that they would need to make another diagnosis to determine if the new fuel pump they just installed was indeed faulty and whether it would be replaced at no charge under warranty then they informed me that if they determine the fuel pump was good, they were going to charge me another $160 for another diagnosis at which point, I pointed out that I had already paid for one diagnosis that should've determined any and all problems with starting the truck, but their reply was there is no warranty on the original diagnosis so they would indeed charge me for a second diagnosis if it was determined that fuel pump that they replaced was not faulty. At this point, I was starting to regret hiring Repair Smith, Repair Smith had already charged me $759.47 and I was right back at square one. I did change the fuel filter and then started doing some research on problems that could occur outside of the fuel pump, found no problems myself prior to their technician making another diagnosis confirming that the fuel pump they installed was bad. So I made a fourth appointment to have the second fuel pump replaced, but before repair Smith came out to do the Replacement. One of the straps came undone that is holding up the fuel tank, leaving the tank, hanging down at an angle, almost touching the ground with the wiring and fuel lines still connected, and the fuel filler hose disconnected also, I guess it's a good thing that the second fuel pump was faulty or I would've been driving the truck when the fuel tank fell down. at this point I didn't trust anything that these guys have done so far so I paid my mechanic that I know $100 to do an evaluation on the fuel pump wiring and anything else that might be faulty without disturbing the fallen fuel tank or fuel pump. So about a week after the tech performed the second diagnosis (third trip), I was on the schedule for a 12 p.m. to 2 pm arrival time to replace the faulty fuel pump that they installed, but to my surprise the two technicians that showed up to my house informed me that a fuel pump replacement could not be done at my house. It had to be towed to their shop and performed there, their explanation was that their policy didn't allow them to change a fuel pump, anywhere except at the shop, even though they already installed one in my truck at my house. I was pretty pissed off as I had a time factor related to when this vehicle had to be up and running. they told me that they were going to waive the towing fee to transport the truck to their shop, and do whatever it took to solve all these problems! That sounds pretty fair right? The only problem with that is a couple of hours after my conversation with the technicians at my house I called the shop to verify whether they made an appointment and they informed me that they had refunded all the money I payed them, and that they would no longer do any work on my truck and for me to just find a new repair shop, click!!!! So now I'm in the process of looking for a LEGITIMATE auto repair shop!! read more

What an incredible scam. I went to the website and booked service, writing that my vehicle would not start and likely needed a new starter or an alternator. I waited four days for the appointment. The guy showed up and spent an hour with my vehicle. For $139, he tells me it won't start and it needs a fuel pump. By the way, that's a repair he can't do. UNRELIABLE AND OVERPRICED. This morning around 8am I tried to turn on my car, dead battery. Had to stay home from work and keep the kids home with me. I really needed help, so I booked a service with repair smith to have them come out between 5-7pm. I made the appointment early and told them if they could come out sooner please do. At 5:55pm they text me saying that they wouldn't make it out today and rescheduled for TOMORROW from 2-4pm. I texted back begging them to come out tonight and called them with no response because they close at 6pm. They cannot just do that to people who are depending on them. I had my car repair in October of 2022 and after the car was worked on my check engine light came on. The tech did not know how to fix the issue and tried to recommend me to shops that specialize in Lexus's. I got charge $1492 even though more problems appeared after the repair. Today on 06/30/23 I had a 1 yr. warranty check to look at my check engine light. No resolution and I got charge another $180 today. I filed a complaint with the BBB. They inspected the column for five minutes and charged me over $110 with NO repair work being done at all! I thought they were coming to fix the problem. I did not need the car inspected. Technician they sent to my area was awesome and super nice! However took 2 weeks to schedule and 2 no shows prior to them finally getting someone out. I think it would be good in the Phoenix area, however in San Tan Valley not enough techs and they should not book if cannot follow through. Luckily we did not need the car to go anywhere. Note this was not the Technician's fault. He was running ragged and was able to get to us by 8pm for a scheduled 3-5. The referral service needs some work. I think the only reason we got service that day is that there were 2 prior no shows. We only had a diagnosis for no start that ended up being a bad battery. The Technician was not given the make/model of the vehicle (that was part of the intake) by the scheduler so could not replace the battery at that time. Again, glad this was our spare car and cannot recommended. Too bad, neat business idea. read more

To be honest it's hard to trust any sort of business cause the care for the people are gone it's more how much I can make of you type of world now . The reasons we are pushed to work on our own car and just YouTube it LOL . Kidding aside I had an amazing guy Edward and you can booked him I think. He is kind, knowledgeable, sincere and good humor. His not the other auto repair shop that will focus on finding what the fix even it's not necessarily needed.I can guarantee you this as I went to pretty much all you can name . They for sure have secure their business with me . A lifetime partnership unless they change management and get a killer shark but for now this is an amazing concept and advertising. Good for elders but I am not sure if they know about it but they come to your home. Look for Edward to work on your car and also Edward says all good things about the company cause I did asked how are they treated and that means they do take care of their people so it's always good to support the business who looks after their people. My car had a seized spark plug. They sent out a mechanic to my door who said he would have it taken into one of their shops to be better looked at. A whole week later with no car and they finally send a tow truck out to take it. Another whole week and I get a call back saying they want to replace the entire engine. For a seized spark plug they should at worst have to take off the cylinder head, definitely not throw away a perfectly good engine and rip me off in the process. Takes forever with me constantly having to call them to get anything done, and when they finally do sit down to so something, they obviously don't know how to. read more

I contacted AutoNation Mobile service in the suspicion that I needed my pulleys changed on my 350z because the car would make a high squealing noise at start up and then stop shortly after, and this was after just having my drive belts changed and was given a price of $534 to change both pulleys. when the AutoNation mobile tech arrived he said he didn't think it was the pulleys and just recommended adjusting the belt so I said okay let's try that, the mobile tech had me drive my car onto the ramps to jack up my car and in 15min he adjusted the drive belts and had me start the car and there was no more high squealing noise which was great, BUT then the AutoNation Mobile Service tech changed the bill from $534 to $305 which was a HORRIBLE HIGH amount to charge to adjust a belt when I just had paid the dealership to put the belts on the car and not even 100miles and had to pay an exorbitant fee to adjust the belt RIDICULOUS! I REALLY would steer clear of AutoNation mobile service as it's a plow for them it seems to get out there and then adjust the price to RIP you OFF! read more

To start off, both technicians that came out were super friendly and did what they could however, this company is a scam. I paid for a false diagnostic and a repair worth 600$$ that did not fix my car. I tried to explain to the support team that my car was diagnosed incorrectly and is still having the same issue as before. They could not offer me anything except to send another technician out to check the work under their warranty but however if it's something else that's causing the problem(which it is because i'm still having the issue) then i would have to pay the price of 180 dollars for another diagnostic . no help whatsoever i'm not paying for another false diagnostic. now i have to take it to another mechanic to get the job done right when it should of been fixed the first time. read more

I needed to have my brakes and rotors replaced aroiund my entire car. I looked into mobile repair shops and stumbled upon RepairSmith. Within two days, I had an appointment scheduled. The pricing was fair so it made the most sense (my brakes were not safe to drive on). On June 11th, my service technician Edward Hayes arrived on time. Edward took the time to assess my vehicle, explain to me what some of the symptoms my vehicle was exhibiting could be, and explained his credentials. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and professional. It is summer time in Phoenix and he was dressed for the ocassion, however I would check in periodically to see if he needed any water. Each time I would check in, he would explain what all he had done so far. Even took the liberty to show me how dangerously low my rear brakes were! He was able to quickly identify what was causing the God awful grinding noise I was hearing. We briefly discussed our similar midwest backgrounds while he continued to service my vehicle. The entire process was quick and painless from arrival to completion. Edward did an amazing job and treated myself and my vehicle with respect. I could not wait to write a review for him as the world can afford more kind, hard working, and humble people. I would recommend Edward to anyone in need of a reliable repair. Decided to give RepairSmith a try because it had good reviews and I liked the fact that the mechanics were actual employees of the company. Beware the scheduling component! Scheduled my appt on a Friday for a Wednesday from 10-12. Got a text message later that they had received my request to reschedule. I hadn't requested a reschedule so I called them directly. Customer support said he wasn't sure what was going on but that my time was now 845 to 1045 or something like that. I said as long as still had an appt, I was fine. It's now Tuesday and no one has shown up. I go online to check my appt and the time is now listed at 10a-12p. I'm frustrated b/c they changed it without notifying me so I call again to get confirmation that someone will be out to my house today and turns out they changed the date too! Customer support was very nice but told me they only have 7-8 techs in Phoenix so they change appts times and dates as needed to accommodate their drive time. He said someone tried to call me and/or text me but I don't have a message or a text from anyone. What is the point of even letting me choose a date and time them if they're just going to change things around without notice?!? So frustrated! I usually use another mobile mechanic service but thought I would try RepairSmith (one of the mechanics I like went to work with them) but am beyond sorry that I did. I was charged $251.46 for a low end economy battery that I could have purchased at the local auto parts store for approximately $110. The invoice led me to believe, due to the cost of the battery alone that it would be a decent battery. Live and learn.
