VERY HONEST !! I went in because I failed my emissions test talked to a couple other mechanics and they were ready to charge me almost 1000.00 I knew I couldn't afford it so I called this shop and from our first conversation he was very positive about it and told me to bring it in and he would check it so I did and come to find out nothing was wrong with it. he could have taken me for a lot of money but he chose to be honest . I am so appreciative of the work and customer service that Motortek provides that I will not take my vehicles anywhere else. I began taking my pervious vehicle to them in 2012. Since then, I have always been given a timely phone call with a detail diagnosis, options and pricing. I have NEVER been pressured to purchase something I don't need and I have NEVER been misled on my cars' issues. When I go to pick up my vehicle, I am always given a detail description of how the repair was done. I also love that it is always done right the first time! I recently purchased a newer vehicle and refuse to take it to the dealership for even minor maintenance because I trust the guys at Motortek over anyone else. When I hear of people complaining of their mechanics or dealership, I get a guilty pleasure bragging about mine at Motortek! Edip and John are honestly amazing and I'm beyond blessed to have found them so many years ago (I believe in 2005). They keep me safe out on the road. They are honest (to the point that years ago I needed new tires but wanted some really cute, expensive shoes.. Edip said get the shoes, the tires are ok to hold off on for now.. I got the shoes and a couple months later got new tires that were purchased through Motortek. So, they are not just about profit, they care about their customers). I had both an incredibly positive experience, and then a very negative one so I'm not sure what to think. 1st visit - Was recommended to this shop by a friend. The guys were friendly, and got me booked in quickly. They diagnosed a broken wire in the ABS harness and had me out the door for a very reasonable cost. 2nd visit - brought a different vehicle in for an oil change and check over. The oil change was quite expensive, but I wanted the inspection so I didn't balk too hard at the price. Despite showing up early for my appt, and the shop being empty, the service took about triple the time it should and since I didn't have time to wait for the estimate for repairs I was emailed with it the next day. I found it odd that it was quoted in a couple sentences, not broken down by lines with parts and labor costs like every shop I've ever seen. Here's where I have the issue - I am an ASE certified technician myself, in addition to also having many years of experience writing estimates AND having access to Mitchell (the industry standard program for costing labor). I am in the oil industry now and don't have a lift - this is the only reason I didn't just do it myself. The price I was quoted was more than DOUBLE what the parts labor cost should have been, and it was clear that things had been charged twice. (IE: if you're changing ball joints at the same time as an axle you don't charge for splitting the spindle twice, since it's already apart.) I had a friend at another shop quote the exact same repairs with full retail price and it came in at HALF. Also, I was told my belt and pulleys should be changed due to a noise it made at idle for hundreds of more dollars - the actual source? Loose plastic tab on my grille. Fixed with one 10 cent screw. Bottom line: they do quality work, but be very careful and get a second opinion with their estimates. read more

Since moving to Arizona, I have taken my cars to Motortek to have repairs completed on them. I find them very economical, very thorough and very friendly. My recent repair was completed for free because THEY remembered that the part was replaced earlier, by them, and still under warranty. I've been a Motortek client for many years. They have serviced my personal vehicles as well as our commercial vehicles. I know these guys are not a "budget" facility and emphasize on quality so I don't expect to get out for $10 but I'm usually pleasantly surprised with what the repairs do cost. We had a major failure on the freeway after hours that left one of our commercial vehicles stranded. Motortek arranged the tow to their shop and performed the work the next morning. The total bill was only a few hundred dollars, including an emergency tow and the got it back to us super fast! I trust these guys through and through. I don't bother to shop their prices. I'm sure there's a shop that would gladly undercut them but I know that Motortek is fair and I don't have to worry about the job once it's complete. So many shops want to sell cheap and get you in and out. Not Motortek. These guys are the best. read more

Edip and the crew have been taking good care of our two vehicles for several years now. One car is a '94 and the other is an '02 --- and they run like new (well, almost like new). The service is dependable and reliable, and the prices are very fair. Maybe not the cheapest place in town...but you get what you pay for. We have had to make last minute "emergency" appointments a couple of times and they were able to accommodate us. They recently looked over a used car our son was interested in purchasing and gave it a "thumbs down" because it needed almost $2000.00 in repairs (didn't buy THAT car!). This shop came highly recommended by a neighbor of ours, that used them for years. We left our vehicle at the shop all day (8am-4pm) John picked us up, and gave us a list of things that will need to be repaired, but no solution as to why it keeps cutting off & need to be restarted, which is the original reason we brought the vehicle in. In the end, we paid $217.41 (for the 2 hour diagnostic), all for the vehicle to cut off at a stop light 3 blocks later. Thanks for NOTHING... Kelly Automotive repaired my vehicle the next day for $213 (including diagnostic & labor) and quoted us better prices on the remaining repairs that are need, by the way... read more

I was referred to Motortek by a good friend of mine as she has been taking her vehicles ro Motortek for a few years. I just needed a simple oil change. Friday late afternoon, I was able to schedule an appt for Monday. When i arrived I was greeted by the friendly Front Desk Mgr. As he was checking me in, the owner, Edip walked in and shook my hand & said Denise, Vicki's friend, thanks for coming in. Then John came in, also shook my hand & said, Denise its nice to meet you. He took my keys, took my car into the bay & had it ready within 20minutes. While waiting I sat & talked with the manager, as he had been a long time customer, now part of the Motortek team. I was treated as if I had spent a thousand bucks when in fact I paid $43. John also did a 30point check & said all he sees is the tires needing rotated. Most repair shops find 5 more things wrong.
