Went in looking for a part that another auto zone said they would have. My issue is why was the person that helped me so grumpy. I understand everyone has a bad day but when you make the customer feel like they are bothering you, its just not right. I would have normally left but I needed the part. There are words like, can I help you and thank you. When you have to drive as much as I do for work l, you need to keep your car's maintenance up to date. Staff has always been very helpful. Recently went in to recycle some oil and they helped me from opening the door to walking the empty containers to my car. I've been to this location many times and I've always found the staff very helpful. Even locating a part at another location. Bought some oil and a filter to give my car a refresher after all those miles on the highway. Parking has been a little tighter lately due to a new restaurant two doors down but usually not an issue. first of all, I am aware of the bad reviews everyone else gave to this store. I can only speak to my personal experience. I went into other autozone store in Badillo st nearby and the workers there didn't even try to help me installing car's battery and they assumed I already knew everything about cars so they deserved 1 star rating. So I came here, and Carlos, the store manager quickly and willingly helping me out without wasting my time, and managed to install it within ten mins top. So from what I read as to why people gave different rating, it is because the employees are not the same. At least in here, Carlos is the guy that deserved 5 stars, I don't know about the other employees. They can be bad and other people who gave this store 1 star review is also valid because of the other employees gave them subpar customer service. read more

Today I came in distress because after a long day I knew I needed to change my rear turn signal lamp. Alan helped me with the whole process, he was very patient and kind. Really impressive service. I went to three auto places including another Auto Zone and didn't get the great service that I got here. Greeted by an employee in the distance who was already helping a customer. Another person (possibly manager) asked if I needed help and directed me to the proper area. Yes employees were talking, but they were working and getting things done which is cool. Cashier was busy with customer and manager assisted me with other items that I purchased. I've been here many times over the years as this is one of my primary spots to being used oil. It's been a rare circumstance that I didn't get the part or tool I needed. Even today I stopped by after calling ahead and once they pulled up the screen I realized it was the wrong part. It switched from in-stock to having to be ordered, but they are able to get it tomorrow so not an issue I ordered, prepaid, and will be back tomorrow for my part. Service here is usually pretty good. I've had maybe one time I had not the most pleasant experience but it was probably some my fault in that I was short tempered. Prices are pretty consistent from competitors and unless you are closer to a Walmart and they have the same item there will you save a little ca$h. There is plenty of parking and I've seen employees be helpful in actually replacing wipers and even offering mechanical advice and sometimes helping with the diagnosis. They do have some tools to rent/borrow. I came here to run a code before (check engine light was on) and they literally just handed me the tool and asked if I knew were to plug in- I had a rough idea. I went outside ran the code and came back and they gave me a print out. If this is a close auto zone for you - give them a try. read more

Beware of their " free services" i was helped by a female with a pony tail who checked my battery health and she showed me the results which showed good battery health , and recommended a charge . She even said I shouldn't buy a new battery if I didn't have to, the lady was really helpful , even giving me tips on how to remove the battery itself. When I got back I walked up to a tall middle aged baldie. I told them I needed a charge and how I was helped earlier by that female . They decided to check my battery health and showed me the results which said it was failing and wasn't good. He said he knew exactly who I was talking about since she was the only female employee and laughed and said she was new to the team. He blamed it on her inputting the wrong codes and laughed with the rest of the guys. It was cringey . I was about to swipe my card before I decided to have the chubby shy kid show me my battery health one more time. He went and did it and hid the screen before I could see and said see it's failing. I then make him do it in front of me and noticed he's in putting the wrong code . 625 instead of 425 . I call him out on it and after he inputs the code I get two back to back readings that my battery is in good health. The whole time he's telling me my battery is throwing off different readings , but when I told him it was because he had the wrong codes . He' then said oh well your battery is showing it has good health and is holding a charge you can take it . He couldn't look me in the eye. Watch out for these clowns. Stay in school kids, this is what happens when you're 40 and Rely on autozone checks to pay for your back house. Clowns read more

Only go to this location strictly to purchase a specific item. Do not ask them for any advice on cars or product, unless you need help finding the product. They will make you feel dumb. I asked what seemed like the store manager, but I really do not know, "hey my battery terminals are all corroded with battery acid why is that? what causes thi issue?" The worker responded something like, "the battery is overcharging which is causing the chemicals in the battery to heat up and stick to the terminals, the voltage regulator is bad." Im aware the alternator is to charge the battery while the car is on so that the car doesnt drain the battery and die. So I think about this and I respond with something like, "so I need to change my alternator?" The worker's response was simply, "Voltage regulator". after I left, I googled "why is my car battery overcharging" which gave me some answers. I also googled "How to fix a voltage regulator on a 2010 mazda3" which gave me the information that the voltage regulator is a PART on the alternator. In order to replace this part id have to open up the alternator itself. The worker was right, but so was I. He could have responded better with, "yes, the voltage regulator is on the alternator." We poor people do our services ourselves due to total cost for part and labor being unaffordable. We are going to such establishment for information because we poor and cant afford a mechanic let alone a new car if the current car goes out. So it is important to give out clear information rather than what I experienced with this guy. I do not know where all the parts are located on the vehicle, or even all the parts name. Autozone workers need to do better with being more patient with people who arent knowledgable with cars, but have no other choice than to do their own maintenance/repairs. Oreilly's has a better customer service that will answer these questions appropriately with dignity, rather than responding to their customer in a manner that makes them feel dumb. I know every Autozone is different but save yourself a trip and go to another city. The Sales Manager Banuenlos clearly does not value customers and speaks as though he has no idea how a car works. Very questionable establishment if you ask me. All I needed was a simple headlight install, that I would have gladly done myself if I knew how, and the worker there said they don't do installs. Car stuff is here. Went here with the husband to purchase break lights for my car. There was a long line to pay which surprised me being that I am sure this isn't the place to be on the weekends. The husband found the light bulb we needed without problem but it would have been nice to have had someone walking around the aisle asking if anyone needed help. The line faded a few minutes later after we got in it being that there was now three cashiers. Cashier didn't really care to say hi or have any talk which was fine. A few weeks ago I bought a truck cover, and when I bought the truck cover the manager there told me that if I did not like it or if it just wasn't what I thought it was or didn't meet its requirements on the box, I can bring it back with my original receipt and they'll take care of me. I've been going to this place for years and never had a problem. my family shops here, My brother-in-law shops here. until today, January 13, 2023. I will never step foot in the store ever again and I will make sure my family and friends don't either. I brought in the cover because he didn't protect it. like the box said. so I had the receipt and I was in the 90 day return policy and the manager Carlos came in and I told him that it didn't work and I wanted to return it and he said because of the rain that we had, and it's not waterproof even though the box said it on there protects from sun, snow, and rain he was not going to refund me for it. even though I had my receipt and I was in my 90 day policy. he was not going to take it back. all he said he was going to do was upgrade me and pay the difference for it. And I said no thank you and I will not come back and I will tell my family and friends do not shop here. and he said that's fine and had a conceded smile and waved like if nothing was going to happen to him. So do not shop here at all. I went to the AutoZone in a Azusa off of Alosta and Route 66. The manager was very helpful. Very nice and professional and help me and said long as you have your receipt we're OK and he did that. Brought in my car with what I thought was a battery issue. One of the guys there (I think his name was "Kubo"?) was extremely helpful. Brought out the scope to my car, popped the hood, battery seemed to be fine. He poked around elsewhere, noticed that the alternator was making a funny noise, and that would explain the other symptoms. He was even able to recommend a few local shops within a few blocks to get it checked out. A couple hours later, it was fixed at a reasonable price. read more
