Personally will not come back to this branch after the rushed customer service I've gotten from their manager, Colten. We came during noon and there was no line. This was my first time coming to this branch as I usually go to the location near my home. But today I was visiting family, and we decided to go to this AutoZone on the way to gather several things and possibly ask questions. We got assistance from Colten; right away I can tell he's busy as he was interrupted multiple times and we were left standing at the kiosk. I didn't mind this, but what got on my nerves is how he rushed the process of finding our items. After finding 3 of our items he immediately checked everything out and added me to the rewards program. No asking if we have any questions, offering to print information, if we are looking for anything else, if we want to enlarge the photos of the items found etc. After adding me to the rewards program he told me the total. I said to him, "Can we check for the other items we need before I pay?" He cancelled the transaction and asked us what else we need. By then my mood was soured because it really felt like he did not want us to be there, despite no line and no reason to rush us out. We were looking for information regarding the radiator overflow box and he nearly added it onto my cart without asking if it was even something we wanted to buy today. No asking if we have questions, see alternative options etc. We had to ask if he could print us the information and enlarge the photo. The entire time he never once smiled. Never greeted us and spoke to us in a rushed tone and deadpan expression. As I wanted to get out of there, I paid what Colten found for us and left without asking for more details. Honestly for a manager with poor customer service like that I'm not sure why he bothered to assist us if he was that busy. I would rather wait to get assisted properly with time and care by his staff than to deal with him again. read more

I returned a battery after my dealership told me it was incompatible with my vehicle. I had just purchased the battery 6 months prior. Brandon ran multiple tests on the battery and explained everything patiently. All 3 tests showed the battery was in perfectly good condition. He could have brushed me off, but instead he helped me understand what was going on and treated me with genuine respect. The situation with the dealership ended up getting resolved, and when I went back to AutoZone, Brandon told me a woman came in late that night with children and needed help with a battery. Brandon gave her the one I had returned. That level of compassion and integrity is rare. Brandon didn't just help me - he helped someone else in need. The heat took out my battery and after a jump, I made it over to AutoZone. The first fella who tried to help me was obviously VERY new and had to ask questions, so Romeo took over and got me straightened out. I drive a turbo and apparently that means a battery with a little more umph, and of course, price tag. He let me know my options and switched them out quickly. My sensors were wigging out after we started her back up and he told me where to go to get it reset, at no cost, if it didn't clear on its own. I waltzed into our local AutoZone, I was in the look out for "zip tie car clips." I was greeted by Mr. Brandon, a very nice person who also assisted me. This store is clean, well organized and well stocked. We went through the aisles of merchandise, but to no avail they didn't carry the zip tie car clips. Even though I couldn't find what I was looking for, Mr. Brandon, offered other alternatives. I was settled in buying the zip tie car clips. I like coming to this store and these folks are always willing to go that extra mile. They also offer veteran and law enforcement discounts. Come on by. read more

This is THE place to buy a battery. I worked as a courier for two years and needed a new battery for my Hyundai Accent soon after I started that job. They installed it for me and disposed of my old one. Through 30-40 starts each weekday for over two years, this battery was there for me. Amazing. I replaced it when it finally died after two and a half years with the same Autozone and they gave me the same courtesy of replacing and disposing of the old one. Fast, fast, fast! The guy walked me to the area, made a recommendation (the cheaper option), and gave me tips on how to use it. Amazing place with amazing people a who helped me out of a jam more than once. Today my battery finally died and I usually have no trouble replacing it myself and bringing in the core. So I jump start my car with the help of a neighbor and get on the road, but I make the mistake of going to NTB because their battery was a few bucks cheaper. So there I am in the parking lot of NTB. I pop the hood and the single bolt to get the battery out is bring stubborn, so I go in for assistance and they refuse saying I gotta go in and pay for the full replacement service, as well as sit around for god knows how long because they're booked. FOR ONE BOLT! Long story short I get help from a stranger to jump start my car and I drive to my regular AutoZone which I should have done in the first place. Not only does the gentleman help with the bolt (with help from some WD40 off the store shelf which I offered to pay for but he would have none of that), he replaces the whole battery and even cleans the connectors with no extra charge, even though I could of done all that myself after the bolt was removed. Slacker staff overwhelmed and stressed with 1 mid afternoon customer - didn't even really want to use the system to look up a battery, after 20 minutes of self inflicted confusion and drama (not my job!) one look under the hood had them scratching their heads - too complicated - we're not allowed to remove the plastic cover covering the battery via store policy although that is our brand installed by Autozone on Inwood in Dallas if you take it out you may have pro rata warranty remaining. Forget these guys, I went straight to http://www.tirestoretx.com a mile west on Harwood and got a much better spec Bosch 700 CCA/7 year warranty battery installed in ten minutes for $27 cheaper. Needed a new battery for my car. I went in the morning and purchased a new battery. Brought it home and discovered it was the wrong size and they forgot to sell me the grease and washers. I installed it anyway because my wife needed the car. That night, I took it back and returned the battery for the right size. I had to reinstall it myself without the help of the kid that worked there and I had to tell him I needed the grease and washers (they usually try to upsell that stuff). After I got the battery in I wanted him to check the alternator. He hooked up the machine but didn't give me the right information. I grabbed the machine and had to check it myself. Sure enough it told me my alternator was bad. I took my car to the dealership just to make sure. They tested it and everything was fine. Saved me at least 400 more dollars. This autozone is crap and their equipment isn't maintained and doesn't work, and they don't hire people who care. Do not do business with them. read more
