Customer Service is incompetent: I ordered products online on 4/27/26 and paid for express delivery. Let me tell it will be the last time I order with AutoZone online. I received one of the products the next day. I called AutoZone customer service to inquire on my other product and they said they mistakenly shipped it on regular USPS and that it would take 7-10 business days. I asked to speak to a supervisor because the language barrier was bad with the customer service rep. The supervisor said that due to their internal error she would ship out a replacement for the part on FedEx on 4/29/26 in which I was to receive yesterday 4/30/26. I went to track the package and it showed it could not be delivered due to a wrong address. I called AutoZone customer service again on 5/1/26. The gentlemen verified my address on my account but I told him FedEx says they have a wrong address and only AutoZone can fix it since they are the shipper. I was on hold for what seemed like forever. He came back and said he spoke with FedEx and they indeed had the wrong address. I asked how that happened and he stated that it was another internal error. Now I have to wait 24-48 hours for FedEx to update the address and then try to deliver. This is the worst experience ever. Customer service was not easy to work with, so many reps with language barriers. I had to keep insisting for them to correct their internal errors and had to speak to 2 supervisors . I have never had an issue at the local AutoZone store but since they did not have the parts I needed available, I had to order them online. I will never order online from AutoZone again! read more

I was in need of new windshield wipers and found this store. The cashier was super helpful. I gave him the year, model and make of my car. Then he asked me how they are hooked, and of course I had no idea so he went outside to my car to check. We returned to the store and he showed me the different brands of wipers. After I purchased them he asked if I needed help to put them on and I said yes. I have never ever changed windshield wipers .... ever! He put them on for me! Excellent customer service!! My son bought a used car - definite fixer upper and we went to Autozone to see if the battery was good. Brian immediately offered help and was so polite and so knowledgeable. Was chaeged a core fee for a part that there was no core fee for because an employee mistakenly charged me. I called back to confirm thete was no core fee as well as looked it up in line. I go back with the receipt and the same employee "accidentally" sat it in brake fluid that had spilled on the counter then wiped it off with a shop rag. You can guess what happened next... we cant give you a refund because there's nothing printed on the receipt. Manager Jesus was called over, ge said the same thing. I believe because I briefly worked there and it was his way to get back at me because I was an assistant manager and quit on my first day because of the poor way they ran the store. No worries, I go elsewhere and get better parts and service. read more

Just came in earlier for windshield wipers. Salesperson Kiki was kind enough to check my car outside and confirm the right size and Length and at first he wasn't unable to go outside again and replace them but his co worker covered for him in the register and Kiki replaced both of my wiper blades. This is just irritating. I dropped in only to get windshield washer fluid. I bought it, no problem. I filled my car and went back inside to throw out or recycle the plastic jug. They said that they do not take trash. I think this is poor service. Many of their customers come in only to buy some liquid that they add to their car, after which they have a bottle or can to throw away. I'm sure trash collection would cost them a little money, but they just lost a customer. read more

This place really really doesn't deserve a star. Went in to drop off a battery to be charged, I returned over an hour later only to find that they never really charged my battery. I ended up purchasing jumpers elsewhere to charge my battery. What really was a disappointment, while waiting in line a man went in to exchange an item, he had expressed to the manager that he had just left 15 mins ago and left the receipt there in the store. The manager told the customer that unless you have a receipt, they wouldn't accept an exchange. The manager than stated they toss the receipts in the "trash" which was a box and that the customer was welcome to dig inside to find his receipt. The customer decided to look for his receipt, while expressing to the manager how he always gives him a hard time, each time he comes into the store. I couldn't believe my eyes, This is completely unacceptable. I felt so bad and embarrassed for the customer and so disappointed in the so called manager. I will not be returning to that store and will be notifying corporate, you don't treat people like that. Shame on you Autozone.... read more

My low tire light came on 10 miles out of Gilroy at 10PM so I drove to the Autozone to have my tire pressure checked. A great employee checked my tire pressure without hesitation and helped me get back on my way. GREAT service. read more

These guys are AWESOME! We got a flat tire on our way to gilroy and stopped to get a tire repair kit. They let us borrow pliers and Freddy let us use his own personal air compressor. I went there and bought a water pump, thermostat and gasket. I had to go back because the gasket was the wrong size. The guy wanted to argue with me when clearly it was about an inch too big. When he looked at it, he said I was given the wrong thermostat and got the "right" one and the gasket to match it. When we went to put the parts on, the water pump was wrong. All this time, they had looked in their computer to see the "correct" parts. So I took the water pump back and they looked it up, the gasket they had sold me looked different than the picture in their computer. Each of the time I went in, there was about 6 guys who worked there, but only one person was at the register helping customers. The others were either just chit chatting or hanging around. It turned out that the "right" thermostat was not correct. I was tired of going back all the time to exchange it so I returned it to the Morgan Hill store. Right when I walked into the Morgan HIll Auto Zone I was greeted and helped. All of the employees were helping someone and being helpful. Went in and asked to get my battery tested and the employee helping me couldn't get it on the battery. Another employee came and told us yes we need a new battery. When I went to purchase the battery the employee couldn't figure out the computer now tell me the difference in batteries. As he's ringing me up I'm standing there for 10 minutes until he asks for help. I ask him if they will install the battery for me and he looks hesitant and says yeah. I made sure to ask the manager that if we can get someone else to do and she says yes I'll go out there. So we go out there and he has no idea what he's doing. We tell him to never mind we'll figure it out, so he leaves us out there to figure it out and leaves the borrowed store tools out there with us. The manager never once came to check on us. As we got the battery on, we had to take the old battery inside because again, no one assisted. I contacted the District Manager and told him what happened and even he was speechless at the level of service that was provided! Worst experience ever! We have been clients of autozone for a long time now but today was the last day. My mother had previously gone to check her battery and bought a part which they gave the wrong one and when she went to get it again 2 female employees told her that it wasn't there yet after almost a week! Then they made her go back because it was there they just didn't bother to even look. Then today my mother goes to check another battery and the same female from previous called NINNA was so rude and disrespectful she said in English to the other employee "to not help her, leave her there to wait for 10 minutes" and also "here she comes again with the battery and laughed at my mom". During this time I wasn't with my mom but when we went to pick up the battery I went with her and she didn't have a name tag or anything and when she saw us she Kind of laughed but didn't say anything anymore because I was with my mom. This employee should be fired or have a training to learn how to respect and treat the clients. I hope autozone on 10th st. in Gilroy does something about this. First they asked me for my phone number, they looked it up in the computer, tested the starter and when it failed, no problem, here is a replacement starter.
