Do not trust this place. They swapped out my battery for me and did not connect it all the way afterwards. The cap and screw was only set on top of the battery. My car got me from Arizona to the California desert before I made a pit stop, and couldn't start my car back up after. From now on I will go to Costco or O'Reilleys. They also gave me grief because when I bought the battery a year ago, they put the wrong person under the warranty! They didn't clear out the text boxes before taking me in line, therefore the warranty went under a random person that was before me in line! Not cool autozone, train your employees better! I had went to Sun Devil up the street the day before and then they told me to leave my car for two hours then I told him I couldn't do that so I had to make an appointment for the next day all of this for brake lights. I had the bulbs I just needed someone to show me how to pop the panel off or even if they popped it off and put it in for me came back to Sun Devil the next day at 10 o'clock before they touch my car they told me it would be a labor charge of $125. It is sad to see the low reviews for this store because anytime i have gone there they have always been helpful and friendly with me. I am actually writing this review because the last time i went there the gentleman that help me was so helpful and patient and nice. And i hate to have to say it but i feel like it is important to say that he was an African American man and as an African American women i feel like we do not applaud one another enough. He told me all of my opinions , then gave me time to call my husband, then explained to me how the new battery work , installed the new battery, had me turn my car off and on a couple of times to make sure it was working properly. Then i told him i was gonna go and get him some tip money and he said no mama but if you could give the store a review that would be great. My mouth was open because yes i know some companies will tell their employees not to take tips but who really listens to that when some is handing you some cash! So for him to say no just leave a review says so much about who he is as a person. I hope and pray that auto zone knows that they have a great employee on their hands while letting his pay reflect that. read more

Store ad has a STP oil, oil/air filter special. I needed a STP oil filer item# S10075XL. The filters on the shelves were a mess and out of order. I searched thru all the items for the needed filter and I could not locate the part. Note, I was the only customer in the store at the time. I asked the associate if he had the part # in back. He checked and said they were out of stock. He stated that he could replace the XL filter with a standard one and honor the ad price. I'm sure he would being the XL is more expensive. I could not use a standard filter because the XL filter is rated for 10,0000 miles and the standard is rated for 5,000 miles. I asked if he could check another store. He allegedly checked and stated that there was "none available in the valley."'It's a back order item." I put all my other items back. I went to a nearby Autozone store # 00006864. The store had two XL filters on the shelf. I purchased all items from this store. By the way, the items on the shelves are faced and well organized at this store. I told the associate what occurred at the previous store and he responded, "oh, we tell customers that all the time." Why is that a common practice? I have been told that in the past and ended up purchasing a substituted item. Usually it's a more expensive item. Upselling in that manner is not cool. I usually have good experiences with Autozone, however I'm going to start giving Autozone competitors business. I wasted two hours of my day dealing your shady practice. read more

Excellent customer service !! Thank you so much to Ricky and Destiny . We were in town visiting my elderly mother for Mother's Day . She has an old car since she basically only drives a mile . She had issues with her car battery . Long story short . Destiny initially helped us. She was friendly and knowledgeable. Super nice ! Ricky , who I believe is the Boss man, went above and beyond helping us out . Wow .. it's nice to see that there's still quality people out there who do not have an agenda. Actually, all the staff we came in contact with were professional, friendly and seemed to enjoy working here . I think Ricky is part of that reason . Went in for just some windshield wipers. I like to try to figure things out on my own and was headed to the wipers but Keith offered to help immediately as I entered the building, but really knowing what sizes I needed I accepted the offer. He quickly looked the sizes up, pointed me in the right direction, explained the difference in the ones they had, allowed me to choose what I wanted without trying to sway me. Todd Richter. At least that's what his name tag said. He didn't strike me as a Todd, but that's the tag he had so that's the name we'll use. He was the young guy with long black hair tied up in a ponytail. He is the single person that gives me hope in the customer service dept for this store. I've been here before and been completely ignored--twice. So this time was different. For one, I walked in, heard a phone ringing a couple times, then watched as the current cashier (gray shirt...mgr?) didn't answer, but yelled for someone else to get the phone. From somewhere on the other end of the store, Todd comes flying in to jump at the phone and answer in time. Wait, really? The grey shirt guy couldn't at least answer and ask them to hold? Ok, since there is no designated line, I wait casually near the counter to ask my question. Todd doesn't even finish putting the phone down and is already trying to help me. Long story short, I need a battery for the car. I told him I don't think I'd be able to install it myself. He enthusiastically volunteers and says that they install them for free if I buy it there. Ok, cool. I did suspect that because I've witnessed uniformed guys installing them in the parking lot before. But the fact that he was enthusiastic about it? In our triple-digit AZ weather? Bud, you made my day. I buy the battery, he installs it. All the while apologizing for taking too long? WTF, Todd? I was in and out of the store within 40 mins including the battery install. I was no where near complaining. So then the deed is done, bada bing bada boom...no more car issues. I'm good. I'm happy. I give the guy a lil monetary thank you. He refuses twice. I practically have to drop it on his service cart for him to accept it. I hope someone at this company rewards this young man. He is the sole reason I would consider going back to this location. So why only 3 stars? Well, this guy can't hold the entire place down himself. I can't pretend like the two previous times I visited (for other reasons), I was ignored. The only thing that brought me back to this location was that a friend told me the Duralast battery in my car was an Autozone brand. This was the closest Autozone to my home. I wanted to see if maybe it was still under warranty. When I originally walked in, I had planned to walk out if it wasn't under warranty. However, Todd is the man. Good going, Todd. :) read more

My boyfriend and I walked in looking to purchase a part for my car on 12/15/2022. There was a new hire and he was so sweet! I believe the man with him may have been the manager but I'm not exactly sure. He was an older gentlemen and it might have been a bad day for him. However that's not any excuse to act rude towards anyone. When we walked in we had no idea who to go to. The man looked at us as if we were bothering his time. He was eating at the counter and personally I don't care about that. But it was just the fact he spoke in annoyance. The new hire had asked him where to find the part we needed and he huffed and made the new hire sound stupid. Like he was just doing everything out of reluctance. When we used a business code our cousin lent to us, he had to help the new hire. We didn't know the business name only the name of the owner. He asked us the business name and we answered we weren't sure we only know the owners name. Instead of saying something along the lines of i'm sorry but if you don't know the name you can't use the code. He told my boyfriend why would think you could use the code if you don't know the name. I was upset at that point. I get the whole protecting the business or whatever but he completely forgot his customer service skills at the door. While standing in there a man walked in asking for help with a battery check. The man working huffed and said "uhuh ours is broken go somewhere else." We visited this particular AutoZone after noticing issues with our vehicle starting up. We knew it had to be the battery, so we took it in right away. We literally just drove back home from Las Vegas after a fun family vacation. Once we got back into town, we began to notice that the van was starting but it was shutting off. We knew it had to be the battery, so we took it in right away. Having no idea if it was covered under warranty, I was really hoping that the battery was not bad. With my luck, it was bad. Even worse, we were a week past our warranty expiration date. I thought we would have to pay out even more money on a car battery, but the employees at AutoZone came to save the day! They were able to honor our warranty, even though they were not required to do so! I want to give a special thanks to Todd and Baby for helping us out! I would recommend this store again! i would give zero stars if i could. incredibly sexist and rude. we came in for one thing, we knew what the one thing was. the man at the counter was very dismissive and rude, undermining what we were saying and continuing to act as if we didn't know why we were there. ignored me as i was checking out. rude when we asked questions on where stuff in the isles were, said "see here read it says___" when we picked the WRONG item that he recommended. the only reason for two stars is the older gentleman that helped us put the power steering in our car, he was a gem. read more

I cannot tell you how bad my experience was with this terrible AutoZone this company does not care about anyone I had a battery under warranty and they gave me a replacement battery that was completely wrong screwed me out of my warranty and try to treat me like I was lying when I came back. What a piece of shot company. I gave you guys my phone number you can see I bought the battery from you less than two months ago and you have the nerve to say that battery is the same battery but different model. It is not fit on the bike and I lost out of $90. Because of some Spanish male with glasses. I will never come back i'll be reporting you guys to corporate.
