So, today, I went through a carwash - you guessed it, the license plate finally came completely off and was completely resistant to everything I tried to get things resolved. I really didn't want to drive around without it attached - even though I was able to retrieve it from the fine folks at Crew - but I was clueless how to resolve it. On the way home from Crew, I stopped at this Fishers location of AutoZone, an auto parts and supplies shot located right next to Pep Boys. There's accessible parking almost directly in front of the store. There's a nice ramp. The manual glass doors were pretty easy. I looked around and figured I was likely looking for a new frame/plate holder and maybe some new screws since everything on my end was rusted. I'll admit this should have been basic, but I hated the idea of spending money without being sure. I finally got up the nerve to ask someone (whose name I never got). He suggested a new frame. I paid. He went above and beyond by helping me get things attached, though ultimately decided a couple new screws were needed. He also helped me with those. By the time I left, my plate was once again securely attached and I was once again on the road with the plate in place. This was simple, of course. But, it was a pretty big deal to me and I definitely needed help with it. AutoZone made my life a lot easier and solved a problem in a matter of minutes for a very fair price. I don't really have a mechanical bone in my body - this wasn't particularly mechanical, however, it definitely didn't go with my skill set. I was grateful for the assistance and for being back on the road. I do wish they'd had some more attractive plate holders, however, I got what I needed and am definitely not complaining. Bravo, AutoZone.

Ultimately, the process of buying a car is just not fun. It takes a long time, there's a lot of waiting, and heavy decisions to be made. But they make it as smooth and painless as possible. I've seen Hebert and Cody, both a handful of times--and they're awesome! While they could easily take advantage of a girl who doesn't know what she wants, I feel like they look out for me and genuinely try to get the best deal. Last time, one of the salespeople gave me advice that saved me probably $100/month on my car payment. When I'm ready to buy a new car, this will undoubtedly be the only stop I make. The service department treats my car like a baby. They always keep me informed, prices are reasonable, and they are knowledgeable and efficient. I've had particularly great service from Brandon. Like I said--getting your car serviced is not fun, but they keep the waiting area clean and well stocked with complimentary coffee, water, and snacks. The waiting area is also quiet and reasonably comfortable. I honestly wouldn't even consider taking my car somewhere else unless it was an emergency.

Andrew assisted me once I pulled into the bay. He was friendly and professional. He had assistance from another team member since I opted to have both headlights replaced. My service from Penske is always great, but this time it was quick and efficient... so quick I didn't even have to get out of the car this time. I got booked right away for my appointment on a date and time that was convenient to my schedule. I got emails confirming my appointment and my car was taken back promptly at the scheduled time. The work was completed in a timely manner and my car returned to me as it was placed in the service centers hands. I neglected to mention that when the service technician came to get my car he had plastic for the seats and paper floor mat. My car was sounding the way that I expected with the parts provided and I couldn't be happier. As I always say, it's great going to Raymond's for service you establish a relationship with Bruce and his wife Kathy, Rose the desk attendee and Eric Pitts who oversees the mechanics of the operation. Everyone is very knowledgeable in their particular field, position or job and everyone is very pleasant to be around! Unfortunately the amount of information they gathered from the diagnostics wasn't enough for my warranty company to cover the repair of the issue in my car. They would've needed to do more exploratory work and my warranty company wouldn't cover it. Overall great experience here, just unfortunate choice of car purchase lol
