When they figured out their mechanic had me replace and pay for properly functioning equipment. Con artists Trying selling 750$ worth of tie rod ends when literally ALL my suspension was worn out, except the tie rods. I believe this happened to illegally generate fraudulent revenue, like the 1000$ on tires wasn't enough?!?!? It needed 2500$ worth of real work their tech was too lazy and untrained and greedy to mess with. I bought 4 new tires 40 days ago at Belle Tire. I had a flat tire and it was not covered because I had not bought the $20 warranty on each tire. The side wall blew out and they said I must have hit a "pot whole" somewhere. No new tire for me and they charged me $150 for a new tire. Is that their excuse all the time? Took one of the cars in for a new set of tires after getting a good quote online. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment time. I was welcomed immediately and checked in quickly. Then I took a seat...and sat there, waiting for a long time. At one point, one of the techs came out with an estimate for additional services. I misunderstood and thought they were doing them. When I said I didn't want those extra services, nobody made me feel dumb for the misunderstanding. After waiting for nearly 3 hours, the work on the car was done, and my name was called. They did try to sell me an extended warranty at checkout. And when my husband saw the bill, he noticed certain details didn't match up to our online quote. I spent 8.5 hours there for them to put new brakes on my vehicle. I was quoted a 3.5 hour wait time. they said my brakes were done, I paid, and then I left and immediately my brakes were making an awful noise. I drove right back in. They said it was my heat shield and that they were going to tack it back up. That did not work. They then said the parking brake shoe was not adjusted after installing the new brakes. They brought my keys back out to me and said it was good. Got back in the car to drive away and the noise was worse. I went back in and made an employee get in my car to hear the noise. They kept the car for another hour before saying it was a spring on the brakes hitting the back bolts. After 3 attempts the noise is finally gone. Now my heat shield is rattling like crazy and they said they moved it to do the inspection but can't service it. Worst experience of my life. They offered me a free oil change on my next visit. I was so excited to learn that we had a Belle Tire on Southport. Really disappointed in this location though. I was hoping that I would get the same level of customer service and knowledge as the Plainfield location. I used to go there all the time since they were close to my office. I now work near home so I had been going to the Goodyear location on Emerson next to Egg Roll #1. Even though I have warranties on my tires at Goodyear I came to Belle because it was just time to switch over. I came in on Saturday August 24th 2024 at 8 AM sharp with a tire that was losing air. Joyce checked me in and said that they would call. About 5 hours later I got the call that it was a nail, too close to the tire wall to be fixed. She wanted to get me the tire that matches my set and said they would have it done Monday. I said that was fine since I was already off that Monday. Monday rolls around and I don't get a call all Morning. At 3 PM I call and talk to Chris who informs me that it'll be another 2-2:30 hours but definitely today. At 5:50 I called back and talk to Cory to ask if I can come pick up my car. He places me on hold for over 4 minutes and then Joyce picks up and asks if she can help me.!? I've literally been on hold for over five minutes at this point but I say nothing. Just that I'm checking to see when I can pick up my car. She puts me on hold for ANOTHER 4 minutes and then comes back and says they just started working on it and to leave my house at 7:30. Okay, kinda late for just a tire change but okay, 30 more minutes and it's done. I leave my house and arrive at the location at 7:36 PM. The tire still isn't done! I don't end up getting my car back until 8:05 PM. While I was checking out I asked what the warranty was. Cory tells me the warranty was declined. I brought them a car with a warranty on the tires!! Why would I decline it!? At this point I just don't care and I want to leave with my car. My husband can tell by the look on my face that no one asked about the warranty on the tires so he asks me if I want to get one to which I reply, "no I don't want to come back here ever". Also, at Goodyear in November 2023 I paid $186 for the exact same tire with a warranty. At Belle Tire, with no warranty, terrible customer service and they wasted my time - I paid $203! Way too expensive for what I got! This Belle Tire location is terrible. I'm taking my business back to Goodyear, and probably buying them donuts the next time I go in. One more thing, look at the picture from 2019 showing the waiting area. They have added several more chairs in there. If I had to guess it would be because they needed more chairs for customers to wait. read more

I will say that we were able to get a great price on my tires when I got them changed. I took my car in for a tire rotation and then everything seemingly seemed to go wrong after that. Once the tires were rotated, their was a screeching sound coming from my rear tires. We took it back to see what the issue was. They told me my brake shoes needed to be replaced. I would guess that would've been something to note when I got my tires changed or rotated but it wasn't. Before notifying me about my brake shoes, I received a frantic call from the manager that my car was stuck on a lift, he assured my vehicle was fine. It was a lift malfunction once they got the car up. We went forward with the brake replacement then my tire sensor stopped working. They called to tell me they replaced one but the other ones are reading that they need to be changed sooner than later. I moved forward to have them change ALL the tire sensors and two week later, my sensors are now not reading again. Not to mention that when I pick my car up, my gas tank was open and the inside of my car smelled like gas when I drove it. They had no clue why this was. My husband had to go back to also get the caps for my tires. I decided to take my car to the dealership for the gas smell and thank God nothing was too serious. We tried to call belle tire again and had them look at the car to see about the sensors, but since the light turned off the day that we took it in. They told me there was nothing they could do. I have been completely frustrated with my car needing service every week or two since what was suppose to be a simple tire rotation. read more

I had a nail in my tire and they patched it...free of charge. I made an appointment online and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I wasn't sure what to expect since I've somehow never had this happen to a tire before but free was not it...but I'll take it! I was not sure what to expect but 3 separate people recommended Belle Tire to me so I thought it should be good. I chose to wait in the lobby but could've dropped it off. As I waited, about 15 more folks came in and out (5 more with a nail in their tire) and everyone was promptly helped. I could hear the team members on the phone explaining issues and prices for quotes and answering questions thoughtfully. One of the staff mentioned that they were short-handed but I couldn't tell. Dropped my truck off at 8:30am Monday morning for an oil change and new wiper blades. I was quoted 2-3hours. Which is typical no complaints. After 4 hours I haven't heard anything so I called in, and they said it was busy and they hadn't gotten to it yet. That it would be done in the next few hours, called again at 5:30pm, and yet they still haven't touched it. Wasn't able to pick my vehicle up until 10am Tuesday morning. 26 hours to change oil and replace wiper blades, absolutely unacceptable!! I hope corporate can connect with management to see what the issue is with service times. If you decide to take your vehicle hear, make sure you have PLENTY of patience. I couldn't imagine how long they would have had it if I would have had something more in depth done. read more

Had another tire issue so I thought I would give Belle Tire a chance since it was nearby where I had other errands to run. It's a brand new location and the waiting room is very nice, I was impressed. I only had a low tire pressure indication so I figured it would be a quick fix, however it took about an hour to let me know the tire could not be repaired and they would have to order a new tire since they did not have a matching one in stock. Apparently, the tire was not safe to drive on because they took it off and put on my donut spare. Okay, fine. The assistant manager gave me her card and said they would call the next day and that they kept my alloy wheel and would mount the tire so all we had to do was swap out the donut for the newly mounted tire. Got a phone call the next day saying my wheel was ready for pick up. When I showed up I was immediately charged $207.00 for the new tire, and they were like "Thanks, you are all set!" I was like "Um, wait a second, I still need the wheel put on my car!" "Ohhhh, well it's gonna be several hours till we can work you in, I don't even have a free bay at the moment." I explained the previous day's conversation and how they kept the alloy so the new tire could be mounted etc. and that it was supposed to be a quick swap. They did take care of me and it was done pretty fast so I felt somewhat relieved in the end. I don't know if their motto "Lowest tire price period" can be believed, they have a nice facility and waiting room but who has all day to sit waiting for new tires in said waiting room. I came in around 5 PM (thinking they closed at 8 PM) and they told me they really didn't have time to work on my car since they closed in less than an hour. I was told I would have to come back the next day. Long story short, after the employee learned that I was supposed to be going out of town the next day, he came out to the parking lot to find me and told me that they would stay late if they needed to to make sure I got taken care of before I left town. This was probably one of the fastest car jobs I've ever had done! I recently noticed that there was some brake issues on my car and I've been putting it off. It reached a point where I really needed to get them done, and I came here hopefully to get some insight on the brakes. They said they would take a look at them and within 25 minutes I got a call back saying what was wrong with them and what they wanted me to do with them. I got my front brakes and rotors replaced expecting them to be really expensive, but it was CHEAP! the service was excellent as well. All of the people that work there are very well spoken, and I did not feel pressured to get any additional services done with me being a female. That always happens to me, so I appreciate being able to go in a car place and have them be completely honest with me and make me feel super comfortable! The place is VERY well-kept and super clean.
