I don't make reviews but this was really a terrible experience. I was having car trouble yesterday and stopped by autozone originally thinking the issue was something else. My husband had talked with one of the guys who apparently was a manager so he was aware we were trying to figure out what was going on. We figured out after a while we needed a new starter and my husband was originally going to fix it himself but we were able to get ahold of a family member that could fix it with more experience. We were attempting to leave except my car would no longer start. At this point the store was closing soon so my husband goes in to let the same guy whose name i was informed later on was Miguel about 2 minutes before they close that we were going to get the car towed. As we wait for our tow truck we go get money from the bank to pay the tow as it would be cheaper paying with cash. That is when we received a call saying our tow truck arrived but the towing services from the store had gotten there right before them and refused to let our towing guy take the car despite them getting there around the same time and that they told him we would need to go pick it up at their lot. All this while being 8 months pregnant was very stressful and showed a lack of communication and compassion from both the manager and the towing service they have hired. When we called to get the address to pick up our car the lady states that we should take it up with the manager because he is the one that called the towing service and that they didn't know if we were there to go to the bar next door or what the situation was but that the car needed to be out of the lot. We informed her that we were already getting the car out and the tow truck we called was there to pick up the car but they're the ones that refuses to let it go since it wasn't convenient for them to loose out on the money. We end up having to get the car towed from their lot and had to pay $577 for them to release it despite the car only being held by them for a short time. Those people themselves are scammers that call themselves "Mr C's Towing". However when we went in this morning to ask for the name of the manager and the name of the guy who my husband spoke to we find out that guy Miguel was the manager on duty but according to the manager that was on duty this morning they do not call the towing services themselves. She informed me they have a contract to come by after a certain time and that they have stickers that lets the tower know which cars are authorized to be there. She informed me the workers have those stickers and that they can give them out to a car so that they don't get towed. This was information that was not given to us by the manager my husband spoke to the previous night. Whether or not they were lying about calling the tow truck on us we gathered that they still failed to inform us there was a way to avoid getting towed if the manager would've just been a decent human being and communicated with us the same way we did with them. If they were going to call a tow tuck on us they could've told us to get the car out and if they do automatically come by after closing they could've also communicated that would happen and how to avoid it. We are now awaiting to see if we will be getting any sort of compensation for what we had to pay due to failure of a manager and the terrible towing service they work with. Overall this is one of the most stressful nights I have had to go through especially as a pregnant woman and it goes to show how some people really lack basic empathy and communication skills. read more

My experience was super interesting, but it was such a blessing. This worker named Kiel? I am not sure if I spelled it right. But I think it's KEO? But anyways, my AAA guy had to tell me to the nearest AutoZone and this is the closest one. Because my car had a misfire, therefore I had to change and replace the spark plugs. He was sweet enough to help me get them and also help me fixed them! He didn't have to, but he did. It was such a blessing HE WAS AMAZING! My AAA guy came later and bought me the rest of the spark plugs that I needed. The other worker James was amazing too! He helped me figure out more of the problem as well, and recommended me the better oil for my car. The whole team was AMAZING OVER ALL. And I would definitely come here again. Thank you so much! Horrendous Experience I have been a frequent flyer at this Auto Zone and previously experienced superb customer service. I was surprised as their low rating. Today, I went to pick up fix a flat so that I could wait to address the small leak in my tire. The first bottle was defective. The spray was foaming underneath the seal that connected it. I told Danny it was defective. He allowed me to do a swap. Before I went out asked him out of curiosity what makes it defective. He shrugged and I got the second can. The man who rung me up suggested I shake it really good, I had but he shook it for me and I went back out to try again. With this can the foam began to hiss and come out from the button and I could see bubble in the tube. I returned it to get my money back. I started my car and the tire was even lower than it was when I brought it in. I bought a portable tire inflation device and asked how it worked. I followed the instructions and my tire is now on its rim. I came in and returned the device. I am now at my dealership 3 hours after I first pulled into AutoZone. If you're a woman don't come here looking for assistance. As I've stated in the past I have had good experiences with the young lady that is usually in early and the veteran who works there but it looks like a new crew. The manager that needed to key in for the return didn't even ask if I needed help. Keep in mind that I purchased 3 different products and at no time was assistance offered. Went into this location to make a purchase. No line and I was immediately called to check out. I was supposed to be signed up for their rewards program from another location. The sales associate informed me that they never entered me in and I did not receive credit for my purchase. They went ahead and signed me up and on my receipt pointed out my name and the amount of point accumulated. Friendly staff and great location. Parking could be a bit better. When this location is busy you have to park somewhere else then close...only reason it is getting 4 stars instead of 5. I have been here many times and this time I got refrigerant to fill my a/c and some fuel cleaner. They had a deal on the fuel cleaner BOGO, which I took advantage off. I've never been to an AutoZone that seemed so irritated upon my arrival and for any question I asked. I'm asking for some information on looking up the Wright light bulb for my vehicle, and the person just stares at me and says a number without any connotation to which I reply " is that the bulb number? Are they gonna have that on the packaging?" "Uhh yeah".. I go grab the bulb and think to myself "maybe I'll pick up some new windshield wipers" I head over to the only available person, some young kid with an eyebrow lining, I ask him if he's able to look up what type of windshield wipers my vehicle needs, and I'm not kidding you the most annoyed look glazed over his face, he did the whole head bob swivel and eye roll to let me know that I was inconveniencing him. I just said "you know what it's all good man I don't wanna inconvenience you", paid and got my ass out of there. Trust that nobody wants to have to go to AutoZone at 9 o'clock in the morning anymore than you wanna be there.. Commitment to Service EXCELLENT! Miguel at Autozone Anaheim Blvd LBC, deserves some special recognition. I ended up at Autozone because Pepboys at the traffic circle wanted to charge me $235 for one bulb plus $450 in labor to replace and if that wasn't bad enough it would take 2.5 hours... Miguel was kind enough and patient enough to replace the bad bulb for me at NO CHARGE! Sold me the bulb for about $100 less too!! And of equal quality (genuine German made) kiddos to Autozone for sourcing quality and not price gouging me. Access to the headlights was not easy but Miguel was patient and did not mind getting his shoes and pants wet since it had rained and their were puddles everywhere in the process of changing the bulb. I've been to this location a few times in the past but always forget about it because it's almost hidden (you blink your eye and pass it). From what I have purchased here it's pretty pricey but the closest and most convenient auto parts store near me. Parking lot is fairly small but layout of the store is simple and clutter free and able to get in and out quickly, but not in the best of neighborhoods. I really like their new self check out kiosk as that's very helpful if you are in a hurry. Had to purchase a new battery for my car and the employees who helped me were very friendly and one of them installed the battery for me as well. They did not have my particular battery in stock so they had to order it but it arrived the next day as promised. read more

Received an oil change at my dealership and they advised me my battery was bad. I purchased the battery at auto zone about a year ago. Went to auto zone requested a battery check. Battery indeed was bad. I was assisted by OMAR. He was stocking shelves when I walked in but helped me right away. I voiced my concerns. Looks like the model of the battery was defective. I was provided with a new model and a new 3 years from the date warranty. Omar happily changed my battery. You could tell when an employee loves what they do. He answered all my questions. He also assisted me with other purchases I needed such as cabin and air filter. It wasn't in stock but he provided me locations that had the item I needed in stock. I had a great experience at this location today. I was missing some push clips for my bumper (assuming someone had stolen mine as I am parked in an alley). I asked Anthony Y. where I could find these parts. He was very helpful and knowledgeable, he made sure they were the correct size for my bumper. He even helped me put them on! I would recommend this place. When he was looking for another part for me, another associate asked if I needed help. They were attentive. Would come again for my auto needs. BAIT AND SWITCH - DON"T BUY A BATTERY FROM THIS STORE!!!!! I needed a battery for a 1997 Lincoln Towncar. I checked out the website for the Autozone Store on 2923 Anaheim St. in Long Beach. I printed out the battery referenced as the correct battery for the vehicle. I took the printout to the store. As I entered the store, I went to the battery section and pulled the battery identified in the printout. When I made the purchase, I had the clerk verify it was the correct battery whereby the battery was matched to the printout. I was charged $125.47 which included the $22.00 core charge. When I attempted to install the battery, I discovered that the posts were reversed; thus, the battery could not be installed unless I changed the battery cables. I returned to the store with the battery and was given another battery which was shorter in length and taller than the first battery by about one inch. I returned to the vehicle and installed the battery. I drove the vehicle about one mile and stopped to pick up a quick lunch. When I came back to the vehicle, it started then quit within minutes. I came to the conclusion that the battery was too tall and was shorting out when the hood was closed. This could have possibly shorted out my alternator. I called Autozone, told them I was about three blocks from them and indicated that I believed they sold me the wrong battery. I was instructed to return the battery on Monday for an exchange for another battery. I ended up having the vehicle towed to a mechanic who informed me on Monday that the alternator was inoperative. On Monday, I removed the battery and had my mechanic return the battery to Autozone. Upon his return, he immediately installed the battery. The battery fit perfectly into the battery box area and was the correct height and length. He then told me there was an additional charge of $121.00 for the battery. I was shocked and angry as the battery was to be an even exchange. I told him to remove the battery and return it to Autozone. Upon his return, he was told because the battery was installed, it could not be returned. This was approximately 30 minutes from when he left to exchange it the second battery. The mechanic then called me at the time wherein I asked to allow me to speak to the manager. A salesman, purporting to be the manager, told me flat out that the policy of Autozone was not to take returns on batteries. I explained the above facts to him with regard to them selling me the wrong battery and allowing me to return the first two batteries. He just repeated his store policy again refusing to take back the battery followed by, "Anything Else?" At no time did he tell me or my mechanic that once the battery is installed it cannot be returned. In summary, I was duped into paying over two hundred dollars for a battery when the first battery was sold to me for $89.99 plus tax and core deposit. The salesman who purported to be the manager was not the manager. Through his cavalier attitude and failure to give me any disclaimer about installing the battery, I was defrauded and ripped off for over $100.00. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE!!!!! BAIT AND SWITCH IS ILLEGAL. I will be seeking all my rights and remedies against AutoZone in the very near future as I'm sure I am not the first person, and probably not the last, to be taken advantage of by them. read more
