I've been getting my cars serviced with Cabe for about 9 years now and have had nothing but the best experiences! As a single mom who knows nothing about cars, it is so important to have a car service center that I can trust and rely on. Cabe has always been that and I'm truly grateful. My most recent experience has been with my 2019 Prius Prime which I purchased here and have had all my service here. Shortly after getting routine maintenance, I had my temperature light come on. I called on a Saturday morning, they told me to come in even without an appt and outside of walk in hours. By 3pm, they found that I needed a new engine water pump - a costly repair but thankfully covered with my extended Toyota warranty. Highly recommend getting an extended warranty when purchasing a used vehicle as I'm a currently at 115k miles. They informed me that this would be covered with my warranty. My car was fixed and ready for pickup by Monday and the cost was $0. I have been taking my car to get serviced at Cabe for many years now and they are consistently reliable and excellent! My V6 Rav4 takes at least 5-6 quarts of synthetic oil, so oil changes at local, cheap shops ended up being comparable in price as the dealer. My car is almost 18 years old with over 225k miles, and is a testament to the quality and care that has been put into it. I was skeptical to come here at first with the presumption that they would try to find other "issues" to upsell me. However, over the course of several years, I have not found that to be the case. If anything, l've had to bring things to their attention if they didn't notice! What I love most is that they offer a ride to-and-from home when you drop your car off for service. They have their own shuttle driver, but will order you an Uber/Lyft ride if the wait is a while. They used to wash your car after their maintenance service as well, but haven't done that in a while. Instead, they give you a free wash at the drive-through wash next door. Hey, better than nothing! If you prefer to wait there, the lobby is spacious with plenty of seating, vending machines as well as a coffee machine. I will say that they charge an arm and a leg for labor on some things that need to be done, however. In these cases, I would shop around and compare prices on repairs. Nonetheless, their customer service is pretty good. Although they take walk ins, appointments are recommended. An oil change takes a couple of hours with an appointment. read more

I recommend customers verify that the work they pay for is actually performed. In July I paid around $700 to have both the front and rear brakes replaced. Only 6-7 months later, with about 2-3k miles, I returned for an oil change and mentioned the brakes were squeaking. I expected it to be something minor, but I was told the rear brake pads already needed to be replaced again. That level of wear with such low mileage simply doesn't make sense. When I questioned it, the explanation quickly shifted to blaming my driving habits, suggesting I might be towing excessively, and even claiming the OEM brake pads aren't good quality. What stood out most was that after I said I would just get the brakes inspected somewhere else, the service advisor later came out and offered to cover the labor if I paid for the pads. That raised serious concerns about whether the rear brakes were actually replaced the first time. Because of that, I'll be having the vehicle inspected elsewhere and keeping documentation of the findings. I expected better transparency and accountability. Based on this experience, I won't be returning. I will also be forwarding the documentation to Toyota Motor Corporation customer care for review. read more

As a loyal 10 years experienced customer, received unpleasant customer service from a sales I am still an existing customer and have long history with Toyota for more than 10 years. on 2/15/2024 around Noon time, went to this branch - sales department , just to get some basic info about my current Camry or planning potential new car. Talked with this manager Evan, which provided unpleasant customer service and bad attitude. Evan eagerly wanted to take my car key to do estimation, while I just wanted to get basic info first. This is not the reason the staff can give bad attitude just because I don't want to do estimation that day. Again Evan provided unpleasant customer service and not stand up when we are leaving. I wish the business manner still matters this days. After, I went to another Toyota branch to get info, other branch provided proper and nice customer service. I wish corporate team can see my message and understand how to train your management team. Again I am a loyal existing customer with Toyota. Should be treated with good valued service. read more

As a rule, I don't trust dealerships to service my car, preferring to go to mom and pop shops because I've heard from so many that they will rip you off when it comes to service. I also don't have the time to wait all day for service. Toyotas are so reliable anyway, why does it even matter? Well, I recently inherited my parents' 2005 Camry with less than 100k miles, and I intend on driving it to 300k miles. The brakes started squeaking, and at my husband's nagging, I took it to Cabe instead of doing what I usually do, which was to call a mobile brake service because I am a Very Busy Woman. The experience was so much better than I expected. It helped that my workplace was nearby, but they also offered a shuttle service. I needed my brakes checked out and they only offered to fix my brakes. No upselling. I decided to get a oil change, because I was there anyway, and I got an oil change. Nobody asked whether I needed to change my coolant or replace my AC filters, etc Simply put, I got what I came for at a reasonable price for factory certified parts One area of improvement: have a texting system that actually works. WHAT A HUGE RELIEF. Want a trustworthy Toyota, and Lexus, service center? Me, too! Found it - Cabe is spot on with their diagnostics and reasonable prices. They don't fill in the "blank space" on the invoice. I am Yelping because they deserve my time. Our family has a few Toyota/Lexus cars. We like to keep them a while and they last forever. I have to say I am a bit hard on the cars - I am the one who runs them hard and gets the dings, bumper scrapes, etc. There are several Toyota/Lexus dealers that are closer. We have been going to Cabe for about 7 years for car buys, maintenance and repairs (they also have a great body shop for those dents, dings, accident repairs, etc.) There are many Toyota dealers that are closer, Cabe is worth the distance. A friend told me about Cabe, we have bought our last 3 Toyotas from Cabe. I have told many others about Cabe and just about everyone I've told is now a committed Cabe customer. Story: A friend and I went on a weekend road trip in her Lexus hybrid SUV. The Lexus dealer where she bought the car had just told her the hybrid battery needs to be replaced soon, about $8000. When i was driving close to our destination the dash warning came on. We got into town and were able to get a local repair to pull up the problem on the computer. They said it was the battery. We called Cabe, they said it could be the battery but it could also be due to the mile high altitude, give it time to cool down and see. Turns out it was overheating. I had driven the car in 2nd gear for the past 100 miles --- yikes. Ok, so it's a bit different from my car. She took the car to Cabe when she got back in town. They said the car and battery were fine. So, no $7000 battery needed. Just don't let your friends drive it in 2nd gear..... ugh. Flash forward 2 years, just this past week. Again, her dash warning came on and car would not start. Again, she went to the same Lexus dealer 1 mile from her work. They told her 99% that the battery is the issue. BUT $1000+ to diagnose, just to be certain, and $7000-8000 for the battery. They told her she might just get a new car. She took the car to Cabe, they diagnosed the problem, simple fix, and Cabe said the hybrid battery is STILL GOOD! Love that Cabe is family owned. read more

I've been going to this dealer for years and my experiences have been good. However the last time I brought in my car for the regular maintenance, they recommended two services that had been done a while ago. I looked at my old report from 2020 and these two items were taken care of then. I called them for clarification and was told this: The technician would list up the services typically needed based on year and mileage of your car without physically looking, then the advisor would look up the service history of the car and determine which services should be yet recommended. In my case the advisor didn't bother to look it up, and just listed everything the technician had reported. Lazy and greedy:(! Who can we or should we trust? Watch out for the "recommended services"! BEWARE, CABE TOYOTA DAMAGED ALL MY RIMS AND DID NOT, IS NOT WILLING TO TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY. I was in need of a wheel alignment on a Saturday morning and I was glad to walk-in and get a 1 hour service time estimate. Service was performed in under an hour. Thanks RJ, my service advisor. And now to the reason I am writing this review. Well, a few days later I noticed a scratch on one of my rims. I thought, "crap, I must've hit something." But after further inspection I noticed additional scratches, damage, and the interesting part was that they were spaced 7/7.5 inches apart. I then inspected all the rims and they all had scratches/damage, 4 per rim, again the same distance from each other. At this point I knew I was not the cause of the damage. Since the last time my rims were touched was at Cabe I gave them a call and explained my situation. They told me to come down and that they would take care of it. Immediately after pulling up to the Service Department my vehicle was taken to the alignment station, where a group of employees huddled around it. Evenly I was called over and told they had no clue how my rims were damaged as they held up the clamp, clamp attachments lined up exactly to the 4 marks on my rim, used to alignment my vehicle. Then the service manager had the audacity to try and blame another dealership and me. At this point it was clear that although they had no idea how they did it they did it. Service manager asked what I wanted, I said, " rims replaced." He countered with rims re-powder coated, but I had to wait 4 to 6 weeks, leave my vehicle for 3 days and I had to cover my transportation. It seemed like an ok offer, but quality would not compare to existing, I would have no warranty for the work and the time it would cost me. So instead I decided to take what it would cost them to repair ($150 total - special pricing from sub - Rims retail for $950) and walk out and never come back. However, as I replayed what I had just gone through on my way home, I got angry. Angry that Cabe wasn't taking full responsibility. I had better things to do then deal with this, plus the fact that I was made to feel as if I was trying to scam them. So I called Cabe and told them to keep their money and that I would prefer to write up a bad review. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR VEHICLE AND TIME, PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID CABE TOYOTA. I WILL BE TELLING MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE AS WELL AS ANYONE ELSE WHO EVEN THINKS OF GOING THERE FOR SERVICE AND/OR CAR BUYING. Yes good value got lube, oil, , tire check, multipoint inspection, and filter for $77. I have a contract until 75k mi and they pulled it no problem. Service is as very responsive, I called in and got an appointment in 30 mins. Then drove up and no extended wait like at Caron Toyota-stay away from Carson Toyo!) Cabe took me in directly. Then cashier set me up for a shuttle home and recommended fresh coffee, I got an espresso shot. No sooner did I drink that and they called me for my free ride home. Although the shuttle driver passed my house to drop off someone signed up before me on the list, it's free and I won't complain lol. They offer to pick me up when my car is ready! So so-far-so-good. I get greeted immediately each time I come here and the work is always fully explained in detail. There are no high pressure tactics nor up selling. I came To Cabe Toyota Long Beach for an oil change. I was not offered a car wash like I usually am so that I needed to ask for. I r/c my car back with scratches all along the driver side and the rear. When I spoke to the gentlemen about the scratches he said he would call a manager. They had me sit inside and wait again only for the representative to not hold responsiblity but to make me an appointment for the body shop. I feel As if this was handled unprofessionally . I never Even got a clear understanding of what they'll be doing to my car nor did he apologize for the inconvenience. Now I have to leave my car all day on Monday. I will update after the work is done on Monday Update: I received a rental that didn't compare to my car ( usually when you receive a rental it should be the same tier as your car) and left my car with no choice. When I received my car back there were scratches on a different side of my car and the same scratches on the driver side that they just tried to buff it out. I had to leave my car for a third time and get a new rental that didn't compare to my car again to fix the scratches. They offered me free oil changes for life but I highly doubt I'll be bringing my car back for an oil change so that I have to deal with this again. While my car was there at shop to replace CAT for more than 3 months, and I was kind of unhappy about it, I understood that length was because as that part has not been readily on stock for a while, I was satisfied with the professional and decent service I received. The quote originally given by Mike Bingham, was honored. I had brought my other Toyota vehicles there for other services and I trusted this guy, and I do not do that very often with mechanics and shops, given negative past experiences. He is consistent. I was bringing my 2018 Toyota Tacoma here for a good 2years but sadly this last visit was my last. I went in for oil change and tire rotation which I was up charge due to my large tires, no issue I understand that. The problem and I didn't notice till I tried rotating my tires at home a month later was my wheel lock key missing Again! Besides it being too far from me, I found their customer service too busy to service customers. I searched and found CABE. They have been timely, accurate, great pricing, helpful reminders, excellent waiting room, excellent shuttle service, etc. Just one time they messed up on service (which they later fixed) and that sent me to another. I wish I could give 0 stars but I can't. This is by far the worst place and service I've ever experienced. I gave them a call so they can do a recall on my Toyota Sienna and they didn't have the parts, so they were going to order it for me which will take a week and GIVE ME A CALL BACK. Never did they give me a call back. I called them almost after a month saying that the parts have been in and to bring my car in. Why did I have to call them back? Anyways, I went to the front and this guy didn't even want to look me in the eyes and didn't want to help as he was gossiping to his coworker. I had a few questions to ask so I could get not only the recall, but to fix my dashboard and backseat. He rolled his eyes and said, "We will check on it." I came back to get my car and it was not checked with. I specifically told them to add some air and fix the tire pressure only to find out that they actually did not put air. I brought it back to Cabe and they confirmed the battery was dead. However, they said this battery was not warrantied and I had to purchase a brand new one (again). How could they have put in a brand new battery only to have it fail less than a year and not cover that? A few weeks ago my 73 year old mother was coming down from Central California for my cousin's wedding in Santa Monica and she received alerts on her Prius while traveling over the Grapevine and was terrified. Since she had to get back to the Central Valley by Monday to teach she was so nervous her car wouldn't work.I called a number of Toyota locations while she was stuck in LA traffic. I first called Cabe and received incredible information and support from Daniel. I then called other locations nearby and did not receive the same support or compassion at all.I called Cabe back and we were able to get her car in there that evening so they could look at it first thing in the morning. They did everything they could to fit her in given the circumstances. Daniel and his colleague , Phil were able to get everything fixed at an accurate and fair rate and the entire team there was incredibly helpful and kind. I would only recommend that you and your family to go there in the Long Beach or SoCal area. Don't take them for granted , they are the best! read more
