The biggest issue is that the staff is extremely young and unfortunately very unknowledgeable. Age itself wouldn't be a problem if the service was good, but basic things seem to get missed constantly. On one visit they didn't even know how to reset my oil maintenance light. Every single time I go, they aggressively try to upsell me on cabin air filters, upgraded oil, and extra services. I understand upselling is common at oil change places, but the employees here become noticeably judgmental when you decline. On the sticker where they advise you to come back for your next oil change it is well before the expected next mileage date to "Review your car's performance", or essentially them get another opportunity to sell you more services Yesterday was the final straw. They charged me an additional $14 for an "extra quart" of oil that I have NEVER been charged for before. When I questioned it and even showed my previous receipt proving they hadn't charged me in the past, the attendant just said, "That's weird," and still charged me anyway. The whole interaction felt sketchy and dishonest. Another issue: they advertise topping off fluids as part of the service. I specifically told the attendants multiple times that I had no windshield washer fluid. They forgot to fill it. As I was leaving, I reminded them again and overheard the owner/manager say they didn't have any more fluid available. Instead of just being honest with me, the attendant pretended to fill it and waved me out. I ended up having to buy my own washer fluid at AutoZone afterward. For comparison, I took my other two vehicles to Valvoline Instant Oil Change (various locations throughout Arlington). They charge a clear flat rate based on oil type, make maintenance recommendations without being pushy, and the staff actually seems knowledgeable and professional. Take your vehicle wherever you want, but personally I'd recommend going literally anywhere else before coming back to this Take 5.
