This location has been my go-to for many years. My experiences with different staff have been nothing but favorable. All helpful and informative. If new staff didn't know the answer, new staff will make sure to ask a seasons staff for answer Oh, and more than one register was open, ready to ring up sales. Unlike Dollar Tree stores, there's usually long lines and one cashier at register. Can't compare, but I'm merely making a point. Today, I was in and out at the Palm Avenue. Got what I needed, staff at register checked to see the best oil change deal for me and $47 later ($24 discount), I was out the door. One stop shop. Where's Allen? I been out of town for a bit, my husband has told me about his experiences there lately under the new manager. Mis-ordering 6 large batteries, orders not arriving on time putting his projects behind and the big one that got me was the whole racial profiling him for being white!! Well I thought, nah there's no way! So he had to make a parts run and I decided I go in with him to check things out. Well first thing I noticed, it was Dark inside the store. All the lights above the parts were all out. 2ndly, the young man who came out of the back area... he was bothered by us, didn't greet us but said "hey, what's going on" all while chewing whatever was in his mouth, with his mouth open and taking bites of what looked to be a pastry or cookie. We needed a battery, he was very vague when we told him our battery was under warranty as it was bought months ago. He just kept eating his cookie, typing our number in and just nodding his head with a umhhumm. Then he walked away, came back scanned battery, asked for a signature, printed a small little paper and said here you go and began to walk towards a customer at the self check out who also needed help. So we asked him is that it, do we just take the battery, he replied yup and off he went. This young man's name was/is Moises. I stayed back and watched the encounter of it all from a distance and I have to say... this was the most awkward and un engaging encounter I've had at this particular Auto Zone and told my husband that from here and out we will take our personal and business needs across the street to O'Reilys. I can see how he was racially profiled and told "can't you speak Spanish". Yes, he did contact the Regional Manager but apparently it was with fail. I can understand snacks at work but open mouth chewing in front of a customer while still eating/taking bites, lack of communication towards customers and no greetings other than "hey" and we can't forget racial profiling customers... Simple purchase. Wiper blades today. 1 customer in the store and they acted to busy to help me pick the right ones. No biggie. Found the website. Stood in line with no people in front of me and wasn't greeted. Saw the self checkout. Went out to my truck and installed the new wipers in the rain. No problem. It was quick. There is no garbage outside. I put the old wipers in the old package and went back inside and asked if they had a garbage. "I GUESS JUST LEAVE THEM ON THE COUNTER IF I HAVE TO THROW THEM AWAY" was the guys response. You're doing a great job buddy! read more

I stopped in this Autozone to pick up some cleaning supplies to detail my car. The place was rather busy and they had a number of employees working. I was not asked if I needed help when I walked in, but that was okay, because I knew exactly were to go. He even took the time to readjust the battery housing properly from my previous battery replacement. Interaction with other employees, although brief, was top-notch. Was here today and recieved exceptional service by Chris, Pedro and Tino. Came in to find a license plate frame and find out after Pedro and Tino worked to hard to replace them on the rear and front of my car with a smoked license plate cover frame shield that some customers in the area have gotten tickets in Coronado area for have the tint shield frame. So then I decided to exchange them to a more simple frame / transparent one. So then Chris and Pedro stepped out again to remove the ones they just put on to replace them again ! Even though it took time and all I appreciate this complimentary service which they all went above and beyond to look for the correct screws for my Nissan Rogue. I don't know why but I've always liked auto zone over o'Reilly's. They both the same give or take. I guess I like the orange and white better than the green and white colors. Anyways I went in the store today. To buy spark plugs for my car. It was time to tune my baby up. And a brake caliper and brake caliper bracket for another car I need to work on. And also so anti-seize for my plugs. Plus I needed a price on a radiator for my other car. The manager was very knowledgeable, professional, the store was clean, well stocked and staff was friendly. With that said I'll give this store a 5 star review. I've been coming here for years. And I'll keep coming they got the right parts and the right prices. This review is for the excellent Customer Service I had received at this AutoZone today. I like to alternate driving my two cars to prevent from putting too much mileage on one or the other. I got a little lax though and hadn't alternated cars for over a month. The battery in my SUV had gone completely dead. I'm certain it was a result of my leaving the internal ceiling and cargo lights on, which I'm known to have a bad habit of doing. A call to AAA couldn't even get my car restarted. I had no other option, but to take my battery in for testing to determine whether or not I needed a new one. I remember purchasing the Duralast battery from an AutoZone last October and had reluctantly paid extra for a 2-year Free Replacement Warranty, a suggestion made by my fiancé at the time of purchase. I'm grateful that I listened to him then. The problem is that I had misplaced the receipt because I had neglected to heed my fiancé's advice to keep the receipt with my car registration. Scolding me and rolling his eyes with discontent, he removed my battery, put it in my other car, and off to AutoZone we went. Raul Aguirre, the Parts Sales Manager, assisted us. "Keep your mouth shut and let him do the talking," my fiancé muttered under his breath, as Raul left the counter to grab the battery tester. Completely dead, Raul confirmed. Worried he was going to ask me to produce the original receipt, he only asked for my phone number and the computer quickly lit up with all my warranty data. Whew! No more looks that could kill coming from my fiancé, only I-Told-You-So smirks. Uh-oh, no 51R-DL batteries in stock. Ok. What was Raul going to tell me next? Was he going to try the old Bait-and-Switch tactic and encourage me to pay the difference for the higher model that was available? Nope. Instead, he said he was going to replace my old, dirty battery with a completely new 51R-DLG (Gold). He explained that he was not only going to upgrade me to a better battery, but was also upgrading my warranty to a 3-year Free Replacement Warranty from today's date for FREE! Also, Raul kindly carried the new battery into my car without hesitation and I didn't even ask. What did I do to deserve such great treatment? Talk about customer satisfaction! I came here second after the other place close by couldn't find what I needed. I was looking for wheel bearing seals for a camping trailer. The gal at the counter asked what make is the vehicle, I said starcraft. She asked is that Ford, Chevy, or Dodge? I said none of those, she said well I can't help you. I said I have the old seals here that you can look up the number one them, she called over some guy and he said nope can't help you. I was looking for seals to reassemble until I could order bearings, full trailer light set, and a jack. I was willing to spend up to $250, but they were not able to help me. I went on-line and did find exactly what I wanted, but went to another web-site and ordered it. The lights were less, but the jack and bearings were more, o'well I'd rather pay more to a company that wants my business. I'll only go back to replace warranty items..... It is just pathetic there, you would think that with a new competitors store in eye sight they would want to offer help.... read more

I like autozone but I don't come here anymore just because oreily has everything in stock at all times plus I love their customer service. I sent my boyfriend today to buy a distributor cap and a rotor for my car. When he came back he said they gave the correct part but for a different vehicle. I've had my car for 5years now and I know for a FACT he wouldn't ask for a different type of car.He had asked for a 1998 honda accord they gave him 1998 honda civic. Really!!!!! WTF!!!!! Sucks! Waiting 20 minutes just to check which lights I we needed for the stop lights.. He said they didn't have anymore and they'll get a shipment tonight so they'll be available tomorrow. My boyfriend and I looked and there was still some available. We went in line to pay and waited about 10 minutes.. And the lady was rude. We wanted to make sure we had the right parts and she said we had to wait in the other line. When there was no one even there to help us.. She could've went over there and just looked. It would have taken a minute. She told us that she can't help us because it's the only register. Seriously, there was 2 people there.. But the place was NOT busy. I dont know what they're doing, but I know it wasn't helping the customers. So my boyfriend and I just bought the lights and are going to return it if they're not the right ones. took in some used oil but they wouldn't take it because it wasn't clean enough. Said it had some water in it. They are being way to picky. Never had this problem before. Being able to dispose of my used oil after an oil change is pretty important to me. I'll be taking my business where its a little easier to dump my used oil and buy new oil and filter. I think it a great community service and part of being a good neighbor that they take used oil but being this particular defeats the purpose. read more

I used to go here all the time because it is close to my carwash and its convenient to pick up cleaning supplies. I had an unusual experience the other night while looking for an air compressor. So I'm standing maybe a foot away from the shelf(very close) reading the box for an air compressor and one of the guys working there steps and stays DIRECTLY in front of me, (no $hit there's about an inch separating us) turns his back and pulls one of the products off the shelf. Now mind you if I had just happen to be passing through the aisle I would have been like whatever, I do realize this is autozone so I'm not expecting red carpet customer service, but how do you step in a space of maybe 12 inches and stand there as if you're oblivious to someone already occupying that space? I just don't understand how someone does that without at least saying excuse me, or grunt, clear your throat, you know something. I didn't let it upset me though, because I wasn't going to let his blatant disrespect steal my joy, so I just left and took my business elsewhere. I don't have it in me to try and rationalize his actions, but it's enough for me not to return. This place isn't TOO too bad for your average VatoZone, but it does have some drawbacks. Selection can be sketchy on oils and other key items (think premium stuff like German Castrol and M1 0W40), and if you need to get counter parts you may be in for a long wait. The store manager is actually very kind and helpful, and keeps most of his crew in line, but I really hate begging for help with paint or other locked up items. The clientele here can get a little sketchy (late night, in-lot oil changers and other top-flight citizens) but it IS conveniently located. Price wise it's tough to beat- AZ does have the lowest prices, but a lot of the Duralast stuff is pretty bad, Chinese made junk. Avoid the brakes. I still come here here and there, but living south of Palm makes me not want to cross at that long light and just go to OR. Maybe if they were a little more attentive here I'd be willing to wait at that light more! read more

I recently went to Autozone to purchase parts for a full tuneup. After installing these parts the car was running horrible and misfiring. I went back to Autozone twice to see if i had done something wrong and to check on the parts. I was informed that the parts were correct and I was doing something wrong. After 2 days without a car, i started the tune up on Saturday and was unable to take it to a shop until Monday morning, i decided to take it to a mechanic. I spent 6 hours at the shop and some cash out of my pocket, I was told that Autozone had sold me the wrong spark plugs. I'm mad that the problem could of been fixed if the employees at Autozone cared about a customers concerns. It was clear that they wanted to move on to the next customer instead of helping me fix my problem. This is the last time I ever visit another Autozone. I will drive the extra mile to spend my money elsewhere read more

Always had good luck with these guys, one of the bigger autozones so it seams as if they have more parts in stock. They offered to install my battery for free which was a nice surprise. Only bad thing is I noticed some stuff (oil) is pricey unless you get it on sale. read more
