Took my car battery to get recharge with them and turned out they didn't hooked it right or something because when i got home to install it,the vehicle didn't even turn over once and i knew i would have an issue from the moment i dropped it off to get recharge ,because one of the employees attended me with a bad attitude like if i was not welcome and just looked like if he wasn't in the mood of working and having a lazyness handling the battery and his expression...so i took it somewhere else ...to AutoZone in Woburn so they could recharge it right and they really helped me out perfectly and the battery was fully charged and working perfectly with no issues..just disappointed that people are working in those places and not happy with what they are doing and making me almost buying a new battery read more

I had a great experience at AutoZone in Stoneham last week. My front passenger light bulb went out on Thursday so I brought it to the dealer on Friday because there is an issue with the headlight casing . All they did was replace the one lightbulb and got me for $75. 4 days later the driver side bulb goes out. I take it to AutoZone this time. The bulb was $18 and they installed it for free. Much better deal. Tray, the manager was so helpful. He even put in power steering fluid that he said was causing a squeaking noise. The dealer missed that. I tried to give him a tip but he wouldn't accept it. What a class act. Thanks! read more

This place used to be Napa - ages ago. So, it's nice that it's still an auto-parts store so I always know where to go. I went here last night - I needed a new bulb for my burned out headlight. I had already done my research and printed out the model I wanted. I went in last night and it wasn't busy. It's never busy. Are auto-parts stores ever "busy"? I told the young kid behind the counter what I needed and he was impressed I had printed out just what I wanted. He literally leaped up to help me. Maybe he was bored? His name was Tim and boy, was he passionate about light bulbs for car headlights! Strange, but helpful. He upsold me. That never happens. He was describing all the different types of light bulbs and there were these new "eco-friendly" ones that use less energy, work brighter, last longer, and solve world hunger just by buying them. They weren't much more than what i wanted so I got'em. This guy Tim was so excited because he had always wanted to see how these new bulbs worked - after he rang me up - he came outside with me to my car and installed the bulb! Who does that anymore? Kids today working at places usually SUCK. But this was like something straight outta 1953 with the "sir" to go along with it! I thought it was awesome. That kid kicked butt and I am excited to go back to the store the next time I need some kinda random auto piece. Come to thing of it, that light by my shifter has been burned out for ages.... read more

The guy at the desk acted like i was imposing when i asked him if he could check that I'm getting the right kind. I then asked if someone there would be able to put it in my car for me (yes I'm aware i should probably know how to do this) and he sighed once again like i was bothering him. I left with no assistance. I'm giving this a 5 star because I had gotten the most INCREDIBLE service I've gotten anywhere. I was having a tough day for starters, blew my last red cent on a sudden battery because my old one died out of nowhere. Then upon attempting the install turns out I need a rotating ratchet. I got work the next day, no car battery, no more money to buy a ratchet, and no time to wait; I was livid. Ultimately I gave up, but then got a tip to call AutoZone and ask to borrow the tool and leave collateral for the borrow. So, I call the store and I spoke with James. He tells me to shoot down so I can get the tool. I jog over and start explaining myself to some young guy who intercepted me, why I was there. I knew this young guy was not who I spoke with over the phone, because the man I spoke with was older, I could tell. But, this young man was a total idiot from the start. No patience, no customer service skills, short personality, very rude. I explain that I don't have money after buying the battery, and that I needed to borrow the tool, but he tries to take me over to buy a ratchet anyways (Uhh. Just told you I'm Broke. Hello?) Then when I finally meet the guy who I spoke with on the phone (James), the young employee decides it's proper to announce to the whole store that I "don't wanna buy a ratchet" like sheesh, way to go you damn idiot. Try listening next time, and grow up! Anyways, I'm now talking to James, who is a God-sent. I explain my predicament, and he grabs all the tools needed, and drives me over to my apartment where my car is. That's right, guy gave me a ride back to my car, because he saw I was on foot! Installs my battery for me, and schools me on battery issues, how to manage them, and handed me some life lessons too. Which I was in desperate need of. James did all this off the clock, of his own free will. Literally turned my whole day around! I was awestruck! Many thumbs down to the young idiot who can't listen. Many thanks to James! I would rather go to the dentist and have a Pap smear done at the same time than deal with my car. Yes, I'm lame. So, I put off getting new windshield wipers to the LAST minute. And it was with great trepidation that I set foot in an auto parts store but WOW: what a great experience. A nice woman behind the counter made eye contact and greeted me as I walked in. She came around from behind the counter and SHOWED me where the wipers were... and then she INSTALLED THEM in about 2 seconds. All the while she was friendly and professional. I was relieved to have two terrific women working at Autozone. Kassandra and Nicky are awesome. I dread the idea of fixing anything on my car - not only did they make it fun, they went out of their way to help. Nicky is the super nice chick with a crew cut and tattoos. And Kassandra is the bubbly little number with a killer smile. We talked about the size of hoses, clamps, and we talked about how it's horrible to hold something that big and have hot liquid squirt your face. In a few mintues, I actually replaced the old, leaking radiator hose by myself. I had to give myself a pat on the back. Yeah, for some guys, it's not a huge deal and sometimes I wish I was a guy's guy. My roommate Bill is like that. He mows the lawn, shovels the snow, and fixes all that's broken. I cook, clean, and keep the house nicely decorated. But what a liberating feeling to be self-sufficient. I guess it was a good thing that my mechanic was booked because I decided to move bravely forward, ruin my manicure, fix the radiator, and save a little money along the way. read more

Everyone here was so kind to me today. I had a headlight out and was afraid to drive at night without one and after buying one a few days prior and installing it, it still wasn't working. I called and spoke to Frank and he said to bring my car over and I was there within 15 min. Tray was by far the nicest, most helpful salesperson I've ever come across. He spent a good twenty five minutes reinstalling it before realizing it was the fuse. He went the extra mile and instead of sending me somewhere else to spend a ton of money to figure that out he took care of it himself... free of charge. I was stumped by a trailer wiring issue and long story short, Jim not only helped me pick out everything I needed, he went out of his way to teach me how to put everything together and hook it all up. I am extremely grateful because he got me out of a huge towing bind, but also it's rare to find this kind of personalized, generous customer service these days. Right after my 60k dealer service, I went in hoping to get a lower rate on replacing my brake system than I got at the dealer. The man at the desk did not listen to my concerns and insisted on charging me a $67.88 (approx.) fee to "assess" the car. I practically drove straight there from the dealer's! When they were done with the "55-point" assessment, I was given an $800 estimate that I was in no way ready to pay for! What would it have cost the technician/salesman to listen to my concerns and then advise me appropriately? As a customer I have the right to ask questions about what I am about to pay for. I did not learn anything new after the $70 charge, other than they "are master technicians too"(!) and the estimate. The man also told me that I seemed to not know what I wanted - when I walked in there knowing i needed to get pads+rotors, along with the hardware kits, oil and fluid. We could have had a productive conversation upfront instead of wasting time and money! It was really bad customer service today and I am highly disappointed as I write this. I have never gotten on the internet to write anyone a bad review! LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. THEY AREN'T STUPID. read more

I have called and stopped into this Auto Zone multiple times in the last few weeks for various car issues. I mirror everyone elses comments here - everyone was super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. It's one of the best Auto Zone's I've ever been to! I was on vacation in Maine and drove from Maine with a clicking sound from my car, and luckily made it back home. The service dept at my dealer closed before I got there and manager of dealership could only add a little oil. He suggested Auto Zone and to ask someone there to add oil for me. Although I had my oil changed not too long ago and should have had more time to need oil, I was desperate and concerned about my car seizing. I was fortunate to have Jim help me out with picking out the oil and also getting an additive to get more time with my oil. He came out and started adding oil for me and explained how you had to put in 1/2 quart at a time and checking oil stick. We went back in and I had to purchase two more quarts before I got the oil in the area of the dip stick I needed. I believe Jim was God sent and helped me out of a real dilemma. When he was going to continue helping me add oil, Frank in the shop raised his voice and told him he is supposed to sell parts and that it wasn't a garage. According to other reviews, people there have helped out people many times and all customers were grateful as I was. When I was done, I went back in and bought another quart in case the oil went down and Frank rang me up because he had Jim on a ladder doing some work. Again I told Jim that he was a God send and I was grateful that he was able to help me out of a bad situation and I didn't ruin my engine. I told him I wanted to tell the manager about him going above and beyond and he knew how distressed I was when I walked in. Now I am sharing how lucky I was to have an associate help me by adding and checking the oil and also explaining to me how it's done. Auto Zone is lucky to have thoughtful, kind, caring, knowledgeable and compassionate people working for them. Thank you again, Jim! read more

I gotta say they are one of the best Autozones I have ever been to. Went there last fall with a bad battery that needed replacing. They not only loaned me tools to fix it, but spent almost an hour helping me dislodge the old one. Great store, great service, great experience. I have been laughing for 10 minutes over this line in the last review - "We talked about the size of hoses, clamps, and we talked about how it's horrible to hold something that big and have hot liquid squirt your face."
