Over the years I've bought numerous parts and other products from Autozone, both in store and online. I understand going into a Autozone most of the staff is unable to provide much assistance and are completely confined to looking up parts by make, model and year. Working on my vehicle today I unexpectedly found I needed two CV boot straps, so I thought I'd give Autozone a try. After waiting for maybe a minute I caught the attention of one of what seemed like three people working at the Kerrville store. I asked the young man who seemed completely disinterested in even being at work if the store carried straps for CV boots. His response was as follows; "You have to order those for a place like a ummmm...warehouse that has machines to make them". I understand if the location doesn't carry them, even if over half the vehicles on the road have CV axles that require replacement on occasion. I wouldn't be writing this review if your completely incompetent employee had simply attempted to provide a modicum of service and a simple "sorry sir we don't stock those".He had zero interest in providing any level of customer service. After today I will never spend my hard earned money with Autozone, either in person or online. read more

Our vehicle broke down four hours away from home with 4 kids on a camping trip. After a wrecking service came and started our vehicle and told us that it was most likely the alternator, we first went to another auto parts store, but weren't confident that they were reading the machines correctly. At 8 pm we went Autozone to get a second read and the guy who helped us was so knowledgeable and was able to direct us in the right direction. We got the part needed and our vehicle was up and running by 10 pm that evening! Thank you to the young man who helped us, I can't remember his name, but you helped us feel MUCH better! read more

I have been coming here since I moved to the Hill Country almost 3 years ago now. It really has been a bumpy ride until up to a few months ago. They replaced the management and brought in a lady named Tasha and to me this is the best thing to happen to this store. The customer service is outstanding and Tasha is always helpful and I am glad to see the store improve so much. I was at the point of giving up on this store and just driving into Hellotes to get all my parts or just changing to another auto parts store local, but the changes have kept me as a customer. As a customer I think there is some more changes that need to be done with the existing help there but this will come in time. Keep up the good work Tasha. read more

Extremely rude staff. I have never been to an auto store that was so unhelpful. When I first entered I stood at the register for 15 minutes waiting to be acknowledged. It was like a ghost town. There was an employee in the back who saw me , but didn't acknowledge me at all. After waiting so long, they let me know they did not have the item I needed. Which is ironic since I called the night before and there were plenty in stock then. Save yourself the time, plenty of other auto stores within 5 minutes. read more

The new manager (Kevin) they have at the Fredericksburg Autozone sucks. He has proven to be completely incompetent and is not fit to lead or manage any store, plus he is extremely rude and has TERRIBLE customer service. He is rude to his employees and ran off all the good help as well as pissed off loyal customers. I am a hardworking young man with very little disposable income. I have just worked incredibly hard to save up the money to purchase a used truck that I need to mostly transport me to work and back with some recreational activities mixed in. I went to autozone for them to run the computer system and find out why my check engine light suddenly popped on. The representative very quickly told me to buy a pair of certain parts for about 70$ and that they were the cause of my vehicular problem. I of course obliged based on the mans assumed professionalism and went about my work. I completed the job in a few hours but immediately the next day the illuminated check engine light returned, I proceeded to return to autozone and repeat the process with a different representative. He told me of a different problem and I spent another 10$ on the prescribed fix. The light this time never even ceased momentarily, hence indicating a still existing problem. I this time chose to take my truck to a very well recommended mechanic to check it out and hopefully fix the problem. He basically was able to tell me I was essentially duped by the salesperson and that none of the things they suggested were wrong were correct and the problem lied elsewhere. The reason I feel so wronged is that the autozone representative could very easily have told me he either did not know or was not sure based on his diagnosis of my vehicle not once but twice. Go somewhere else. The staff were all standing around doing nothing and the manager said that he couldn't help me because he was "understaffed today". Understaffed but overfed, for sure! Next time I will go to O'Reilly's who are always willing to answer questions, give advice, and help. read more

Sunday, Nov 29, The low tire pressure light came on in my Mariner. I was directed to AutoZone by a most pleasant lady in Gibson's. A gentleman (did not get his name) working at AutoZone not only checked the air pressure in all 4 tires, but also added air as needed. So helpful!
