Whenever I come here the customer service is good. Today Garrett (not sure if I spelled it wrong) replaced my windshield wiper really quickly. So far the people I have asked for help here are usually very willing to answer my questions and help me with my car if I can't seem to figure out how to do things after I make a purchase. I was directed to Autozone by this crappy oil change service named Quickie Oil Change Experts, because my oil was low and they would not service my vehicle. I was helped by a sweet and pretty girl named Maryanna, I am sorry if I have the name wrong, who helped me with the oil I needed and walked me through on how to check my oil and add oil. I understand nowadays they don't help you like they used to due to liabilities and all the craziness in this world. She didn't have to help me but she did and I appreciate that so much. Being a single woman not knowing much about cars. And after all that the awful oil change place still would not service my vehicle. She made my day and after the awful experience with this other business, made me see not all people are bad and there is still hope for good in this world. Outstanding service by Carlos and Abby at Auto Zone, La Verne. The battery in Mom's 08 PT Cruiser is hard to work with but Abby persisted with the clamps and learned it had to be replaced. Went in to look for an item that is easily available in Walmart and other such locations. The staff had no clue of this particular item. It appear to me they lack general automotive industry basics. The store representatives looked young and inexperienced. What was very frustrating is the lack of respect and condensing manner in which John in management conducts himself. He is very inappropriate and lack the basic decency to treat people with dignity. Despite him being in his late 50's,he too was very inexperience in the field he works. Field managers should train their store management and employees better. It reflects terribly on the company. read more

I had a great customer service experience at Auto Zone with an exceptional employee named Benjamin, I came in and had an upper light bulb out on my car. Not only did Benjamin help me find the exact light I needed, he also came out to my car and we double checked it was the correct one. I asked if it would be simple to install because I was going to have my family help me do it, but he clocked out for his lunch break and spent part of his lunch break with me & installed the light for me! It was hot outside and I didn't expect him to install the light but he did, and did a great job at that! I offered a tip but they are not allowed to accept so I hope this review helps Benjamin in some way for exceptional above and beyond help! From an extremely happy customer, I will be back to this autozone location for any other car needs I run into in the future because of this experience! read more

I don't know the first about cars or car parts but I do know excellent customer service. I had a fairly bad day- had to jump my car 1st thing in the morning and right after I left work. I drove to this Auto Zone store mostly because it was closer to my home than the other guys. Employee named MATTHEW MARTINEZ tested my battery for free (standard) and pronounced it dead. He looked it up and discovered it was under warranty (awesome) AND he put the battery in for me because unfortunately I am ill equipped and didn't have the correct tools. In and out in 7 minutes and $0 spent because of this store's honesty policy. That's an incredible pit stop. No way I'm ever going to another auto parts store again. read more

He helped me every step of the way to ensure I had the correct part for my headlamp and provided tips for correct care and installation. Very immature short blonde hair manager working morning shift 11/9/17. Possible power trip on his promotion? Has his buddy coming over ans smoking in front of the store with his sunglasses on and spitting around customer's vehicle. No friendly greeting of customers coming in just a stare down with the shades. Corporate needs to know about this. Take that nonsense somewhere else where it can be addressed appropriately. The kid was confused on weather he's working representing a company or in trashy music video. Very bad look for the company and city of La Verne. Pomona is down the street may be that will be a better fit for this type of behavior and to lay the smack down on the chump! The need to demote or getting rid of this kid and promote the other associate with longer hair to manager. He is a lot more professional and respectable then this kid. read more

Came in 30 min. before close time Benjamin helped me on checking on my car battery which he pronounced dead. (At least it wasn't the starter) Benjamin was nice enough to switch out the old battery and install the new one, even though he was having trouble with bad terminals on my car. What was supposed to be an easy replacement turned out to be a time consuming pain! Benjamin was very patient and managed to finally connect the battery to the busted terminal. Benjamin went above and beyond and I greatly appreciate his excellent customer service he provided. Thank you Benjamin, you're a valuable asset to autozone. read more

I had the best experience ever!! I was in the store looking for AC cooling thing! I am a typical girl...I have no clue about cars! Anyway, one of the workers named Jerry heard me talking and said he would help me out and guide me one how to put it in! He guided me step by step on how to put the stuff in! All I have to say is for a big chain store as this one the employee Humberto's customer service from the location in La Verne was unacceptable. I had purchased an item earlier today at a location in El Monte. I went home an unfortunately it was the wrong one. I live in La Verne, so I went to exchange the item for the right one. I had the receipt an the item was the one sold to me. I also had a core item I wanted to return along with its receipt. Well the associate wouldn't exchange my items do to what he said was used... I tried to explain I just bought the item an it was incorrect etc... well he dismissed me an told me to take it to the same store I bought it because he wasn't going to help me. Wow!!! That blew my mind!! I had a core item to return and he said the same thing.. "it was used" so I asked, "isn't a core a used item to begin with?" But he simply ignored me. I kept my cool and I called the number of his regional manager (still waiting on a call back) Smh.. I was trying to handle the citation as calmly as possible and talk to him. But he dismissed me and walks away. Ignoring me!!!! If this is how AUTO ZONE does business I'll go else where to go spend my money.. I had to call another Auto zone- the original location I purchased my items at and my ALWAYS GO TO STORE IN EL MONTE. An I explained what had happened to the associate there and he told me just to bring it back and he would be able to help me. An explained to me that that is not the way business is done and that he was sorry for any inconvenience. So I ended up driving from La Verne back to El Monte for something ANY STORE LOCATION should be able to do. SO 10 STARS TO VICTOR from store #2863. I appreciate your help... read more

So the location is super slow but the staff are slow to help. Asked for assistance in putting a headlight bulb in and clerk says they can't. Went to my car to search for another place who could help and the same clerk who said they couldn't help comes out and helps another customer. Guess they choose who they want to help. Not a huge place but the couple times I've been in there the staff, women every time in there, were very knowledgable.

I went to auto zone the other day because my battery had died and was completely shot. Battery fluid had corroded all over. Lets just say I am a girl who has little knowledge of cars! Lucky for me they saved the day. I am not sure of her name but a lady, ( who happened to be pregnant) helped me fix my mess of a battery and get my car working again! If you live in Southern California, you know that checking the weather for rain regularly is probably not on your biggest priority list. However, It can prove detrimental when you're like me and your windshield wipers are no longer functional. So in essence it was a rainy day and I was struggling along foothill Boulevard after watching I can only imagine down the street at the Edwards, so I'm driving and I cannot see crap, stressed out of my mind because I know I do not know how to replace windshield wipers as a guy, I miserably pull into a parking lot and figure out what to do. I use Google Maps for the nearest auto parts location and I see AutoZone which brings back not so fond memories from other locations. However I give it a shot, I go in, the part-time sales manager Kevin B helps me out by asking what I'm looking for and then proceeds to use the computer system to search my vehicle information and then shows me the array of options they have for windshield wipers. I was deeply impressed how many options there were so I suggested to the sales man that I was interested in something in the median price range, he helps me pick out a part and we proceed to the counter and he asks like a very helpful employee if I need help installing these on to my vehicle, well the truth is I really did need help quite a bit so he walks with me outside. I'm in amazement that he offered to help me especially when he saw that I was a guy, he does everything in about 10 seconds on my car and it's ready to go. My dad, Mike, made a new best friend here this week. The malfunction/check engine light came on in his Honda Accord and he went here for assistance. Store manager, Elizabeth, went out of her way to help him by coming out to his car to show him how to plug in the device (that read the code) and then went back into the store to check and see what the machine was reporting to be the issue with his car. After the results came back, Elizabeth went back out to his car once more to show my dad how to check the connectivity of his air lines. She was very patient, knowledgeable and most of all kind to assist my dad so much with this issue. We will be faithful customers now because of Elizabeth's excellent customer service.
