Then the self-propel stopped working and the battery would not charge. I had to keep using the mower to keep the lawn cut. I called and spoke to Mr. Sosebee and he said to bring it in and they would put it at the front of the line. Well I finally got a chance to bring it in and they fixed it in three hours. I went back in the afternoon and picked it up. Seems a sweet gum ball (can't stand the prickly balls) had gotten lodged in the belt and ripped it so that's why the self propel wouldn't work. The battery was defective and under warranty so it was replaced. They also replaced the 22" blade. It runs great now and I'm glad as I was getting tired of pushing it up the hill. Stephanie Trotter and her team did a great job getting right to the repair and I really appreciate it. I've used other repair shops but Sosebee gets my vote for the best. Thanks again!

I work out of town so I didn't have a need to use it for a couple months. I tried to use it and it would not start. I took it back and of course they were happy to charge me another $51 to look at it. They got it to start but would not start for me. I purchased a compression tester and discovered the blower only had 70 PSI of compression. Now I have over $300 wrapped up in an old blower that needs to be completely rebuilt. Do not use these people. Any shade tree mechanic can throw parts at something without doing any troubleshooting. Hey Sosebee, I'll be happy to attach pics of receipts if you think any of this is made up but you and I both remember each other. Go ahead and keep being mediocre. It's gotten you this far.

The only drawback to this place that I can think of is that it's a little tricky to get to. It's viewable from Sugarloaf Parkway but you have to get to the entrance from Five Forks Trickum (sp?). Unfortunately, my experience matched the many negative reviews already posted. Visit #1: On the first visit, the hitch was installed, but I was told the wiring they had "wouldn't work" and they needed to order another one. This was surprising since my car only requires a basic connection and activation. I had to schedule a second appointment. Visit #2: I waited 2.5 hours before my car was returned--completely untouched. Along the way, I was told twice that the work was "almost done," even though it had never even been started. When I finally asked for the real status and said I wanted my car back if it couldn't be completed, the car suddenly appeared at the front with nothing done. The dishonesty was incredibly frustrating. As I was leaving, the manager came out saying he wanted to "make it right" by having me wait another hour. I declined. Then he called while I was driving home to offer to put two people on the job and finish it in 40 minutes. It felt like an empty apology paired with an attempt to keep the business--not an effort to make me happy. It was about satisfying their needs, not mine. Needless to say, I won't be returning. I cannot recommend this shop based on the dishonesty, excessive delays, and inability to complete a straightforward installation.

To make things worse, the part descriptions were changed between the quote and the invoice, seemingly to justify the price increase. When I asked about it, the owner was rude and refused to honor the quote his own staff had given me, claiming the job "took more time." That's not how professional businesses should operate -- a quote should reflect their estimate, not shift because of their internal mistakes. I've used this shop once before without issues, but this second experience was terrible. If they give you a quote, be cautious -- it may not match the final price when you pick up your vehicle.
