So wasted my day trying to do business with Farrell's auto wrecking in Mount Vernon Washington…read moretoday. I had called them inquiring on a part for a car. I was informed that they had the part and I could remove the part or they would have an employee do it for me. So foolish me, I drove the 1 hour 15 minute commute to get my part. When I arrived they gave me a vague description of where car was in yard. What a joke! There is no order to this yard. There was no row numbers and even the inventory # meant nothing! So after 30 minutes and a little help from one of the employees I found the car and the part I was told was there was not there! The clown at the sales counter told me that there were too many cars in the yard to do an accurate inventory and was sorry! Really I asked on phone and you said you had the part?? This yard is a gasoline smelling toxic waste dump! Avoid at all cost!

I stopped in on a Tuesday morning around 9am, one person working the counter, at least three other booths empty, and two people standing in line. The the one employee that was on the floor was spending most of her time answering the phone, I felt really bad for her. I put my items back on the shelf and walked out, then came back at 11am and guess what? Still the same person working the counter, and four people in line. I put my items back on the shelf and informed another person looking at car detailing items that he would be standing in line for 1/2 hour if he wanted to by that item. I walked out, I don't need to put up with a franchise that can't keep employees. Qualified auto parts counter people are hard to come by and need to be paid accordingly, looks like the Mount Vernon O'Reilly Auto Parts doesn't understand that.

When I picked it up, the A/C was completely nonfunctional. I raised the issue immediately, and although they admitted to removing and reinstalling the compressor during the repair, they claimed it wasn't their fault. Now I'm being told it will cost $3,500 to fix because metal was found in the system, supposedly ruining the compressor. But the A/C was working flawlessly before the service and failed the moment I got the car back. They refuse to take any responsibility for the damage. I'm extremely disappointed in both the service and the complete lack of accountability. I expected better from a Subaru dealership. Subaru of America has been no help either--completely useless. I will never buy another Subaru, and I'll certainly never return to this location.

Over the years Joe & Greg in sales have helped me, with a special shoutout to Greg for pleasant, friendly & engaging personality. The team in the service department is helpful & responsive too. They greet me & know me by name when I call or show up and are accurate in their estimates of time for repairs, as well as the cost. They've given me local rides when needed, as well as loaner vehicles when repairs have taken longer. Plus, the nice, clean waiting areas are pleasant.
