Worst store to call in and ask about parts. they put you on hold for days. and never pickup the phone. and when you hang up and redial they come up with an excuse that we are so busy. every time i walk in there the employees are just horsing around and not really helping customers or they don't know how to look for parts. will not recommend to anybody to go there. go to napa, oreilly or any other parts store if you want to get pricing and parts to finish your project. read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I went in yesterday evening to buy a new windshield wiper for my car before the big storm hit. I had never installed them before, but I was recommended Autozone because I was told they'd help you install them. I walk up to the register to purchase them and I asked the guy if he could help me install them. He peeked out the window and it was light sprinkling and said he didn't want to because he didn't have a jacket with a hood. I was shocked at that response and just said okay I'll try to figure it out myself and thankfully I did. I would never recommend Autozone if you need help installing, take your business to O'reilly's. read more

Came in to charge my battery. They said an hour and a half and it only took an hour. I was stoked. Everything going as I had hoped. Get home. Put my battery in. Car does absolutely nothing, no change. Take battery out and realize they did NOT mark my battery as either good or bad. Mind you I got back home at 3:40pm I worked at 5:30pm. I was like yes I can wash my hands and fingernails and still get to work on time! Checked my fuses, took care of the slightest bit of corrosion and tried again. Checked more fuses. Watched some YouTube videos. Nada. So here I am at fucking 5:45 pm heading back to auto zone. Where they just switched it out. If I was told by an employee that was actually committed to their job, I could have immediately gained satisfaction. This auto zone has consistently been a terrible experience. I know retail isn't easy but a little bit more effort goes a long way. read more

Never ever buy your battery from this place. Home depot sells car batteries now and more than 1/2 off these crooks also Walmart. Amazon if you have time. They wanted a 190 bucks for a battery. The EXACT same battery was at home depot for 60 bucks. read more

My daughter had car problems, ended up her battery was dead. While she was waiting for emergency road service to come and jump her battery, she called AutoZone to see if they had one in stock for her car. She was told they did. So after emergency road service showed up and got her car running, she headed over to the Autozone on Geer Rd. In Turlock. Goes inside to purchase a battery, and is told they don't have the one she needs in stock and whomever she spoke to mush have keyed in the wrong number into their computer system. So she goes to leave and OF COURSE, her battery is again dead and AutoZones battery charger isn't STRONG enough to get her going again. So, she calls her dad, he goes to the AutoZone on McHenry, as they have what she needs in stock. He brings it to her at the Turlock location ONLY TO FIND OUT it's also the wrong battery. So, her dad luckily was able to jump start the bad battery so she could at least get back home. So what's the deal with AutoZone employees? Are they that in inapt at performing their job? I'm picking her up tomorrow and we are going to go to a different auto parts store. Totally done with AutoZone morons. read more

Yet again auto zone disappoints. I would say the service was horrible but there was no service at all. My friend and I were not even acknowledged at all while in the store. While we waited for someone to help us one guy was on the phone didn't say anything. Then there was a guy and girl giggling and messing around in the back. They both saw us and said nothing. Worst customer service. They wouldn't help me put in my battery to my Jeep cause it's "lifted" which it isn't even high to not do so. I felt like it was an excuse. They said they would try & help but once the line claim down but how is that if people keep coming in and you keep not helping?!?! let alone I'm a female and I have no idea how to put one in & have no one to help me. read more

I went in today to buy windshield wipers for my Nissan Altima and they tried to sell me a product that was not for my car. I tried to return them and lady autozoner without asking me had me follow her to my car and was rude in getting me to go to my car and she removed windshield wiper without my permission and put new one on. I pointed out how different new wipers were from ones on Nissan and she told me I can only get those from manufacturer. I said I just want a refund and not nicely ended up giving me refund. I took a chance with O'reilly next door showed them windshield wiper from my Nissan and not only did he get me right windshield wipers he put them on for me. Never go to that autozone again. O'reilly is my store from now on! read more

First time there, the service was pretty good! Second time there, I stood in two different lines cause the employees couldn't quite makeup their mind as to which line they wanted to help. I kept switching from cashier to the parts desk line cause neither of the two employees there were acknowledging me. 3 new people came in and received assistance before me. I was standing there with the item I wanted to purchase for almost 10 minutes and not one of them rang me up before the other people that had arrived after me. Finally I just tossed the item on the shelf and moved on to O'Reilys. I found the same item for a cheaper price and received great service. It may be hit and miss with Auto Zone but being ignored blatantly really chaps my hide & grinds my gears! read more

Went in there last Sunday when I was playing transporter and messing with the engine on my bmw. Was shocked to see this guy behind the counter 'Sunny' that was using the F word like mad and cussing and threatening his coworkers. Gave me a dirty look when I asked a question. Very shadey and poor inventory compared to Kragen. UPDATE: Michael the manager called me after this, seems like a good guy and apologized for Sunny. No manager was on duty that day and you really can tell. read more

This is such a disappointment, I've been a loyal AutoZone customer for the better half of a decade. But I will not return to this store. The customer service here is absolutely the worst. You'll stand in line for a minimum of 10 minutes while people who just walked in get service. If you try to call, it'll ring & ring with no answer too. Avoid this store like the plague! read more

Im so done with this AutoZone . Every time I come into this location the workers are so rude and just playing around. They completely ignore you and take forever to help you out. I recently went in their to purchase an item I need when I ask the guy can you tell me if you recommend for me to put the in tire bottle for a cleaner I had bought or just half he wasn't sure not sure if he was new but he asked his lead short Hispanic guy with a mustache the guy responded super rude she can read the directions in the back. Like what the f' yes I can read but it was just a question. I have always been treated nicely at different AutoZones but the one here in Turlock is the worst. read more

I went into autozone today and needed to get some for my car. parts I got there and didn't know exactly what I needed. But the lady who worked there asked me if I needed any help finding anything and she was so nice and welcoming. I was very surprised with how knowledgeable she was. She gave me everything I needed to get my tune up and also recommended some other items that would help with some issues I've been having. I'm a repeat customer to this store based on its convenient location for me. I have repeatedly had bad service, and people unwilling to put any effort into their jobs. Most recently, I took a battery in to be tested due to having to be jump started over the past three weeks. Before I removed the battery from the vehicle I started the vehicle just to see if it was drained again, it was not. I removed the battery and headed to the store. When I walked in it was clear that two employees had noticed me walk in with a battery and proceed to the battery test station. After a few minutes one of them acknowledged me and asked me what I needed. I asked them to test the battery. (Right?) He hooked up their handheld testing device to the battery and he stated that the battery must be completely drained because the device was giving a "check connections" error message. I explained that it was not possible that the battery is completely drained because I had just used it to start the car it was installed in. He insisted that it be placed on a charger for an hour to make sure. I asked them if they had a voltmeter we could put on the battery to eliminate the possibility of his tester being bad. He stated that he had used the tester previously that day so it couldn't possibly be the issue, and rather than offering up a loaner voltmeter, he offered to sell me one. At that time I left the store with my battery. As soon as I got home, I tested voltage with my voltmeter and it read 12.7v. Interesting because his device indicated that the battery must be completely drained. After walking into a store completely prepared to spend $100, I was dissuaded by the employee after less than 10 minutes. O'Reilly can't open soon enough for me. read more

I figured that since the manager was present and handling my transaction that he would talk to me about what I needed more than the female employee who was working. They had a fabulous conversation that should not be in front of a customer. Plus, the manager was yelling to another customer about a part instead of attending to me. Literally, yelling. worst experience ever went in to get brake pads they sold me on a whole different type of pads when i gave my name and number for my previous pads that i had under warranty for lifetime that i had asked for she had no clue what she was doing at all she was an airhead she sold me on them and told me just to bring the old ones in when they are off so they can return them, but when i did she said she cant return them. Another horrible experience my boyfriend had there was 3 workers in the store doing absolutely nothing and said they cant help my boyfriend put the battery and install it in his car. read more

Worst experience when I walked in for my car battery to get checked and also my remote batteries. First, the Store Manger treated a lady very poorly and showed her unprofessional manner, and poor customer service. Then it was my turn, after waiting nearly 10 minutes in line she wanted me to stand to the side until she cleared the line behind me so she could check my battery. Worst part she was her tone of voice and facial expressions. I went over to O'Rielys and received the best customer service. Truly upsetting to see a "Store Manger" behave this way. read more

i got to give this store 4 stars. how ever some of the employees have no business in a auto parts store. i just called for a ICP sensor for my truck. the female that answered the phone cut me off as i was trying to tell her what part i was in need of. she clearly wasnt paying any attention to me at all. she intrupted me by saying what. i had only managed to say I NEED A PRICE ON A ICP SENSOR FOR A,....then she says WHAT. so i repete myself. she proceeds to tell me oh we dont have it. i hung up called back got another female who listened to what i had said , she tells me oh yeah we can get it. we just dont stock it. it only has to come from stockton. i told her thank you. and i also procedeed to inform her that some of thier employes have no business working there. i told her what happened. she said she would let her boss know,,,i think she knew just who i was talking about. look dont get me wrong i will still do business with this store. but if you are going to work for a parts store. know what the fuck you are doing. if you cant find what the customer is looking for. atleast point them in a direction that could help . not nope we dont have it and be in a hurry to get off the phone. hell i would have double checked to see if you could get the parts. if you dont sell parts you dont get paid simple as that. and its not that hard to work for auto zone it not like your in 110 degree heat working on a hot motor, pick up a book and get your hands greasy you lazy ass. thank you jim trotter read more
