Appreciated his help in offering that so I decided to make an appointment for Monday Morning 8AM due to me having work at 10AM. ( I commute out of town , told me it was going to be 20-30 minute service to be completed. ) I come in today and the guy at the front desk doesn't see my appointment and then says I would have to wait until 9 / 9:30. My front tire area started suddenly making noise when driving and I couldn't see anything obviously causing it. Without an appointment, I took it to Les Schwab to have them take a look. I asked about my car and he said they had been working on the brakes all day. When I called earlier they said they waiting on the parts. So which one! I hate dishonesty. It is one or the other. Went in for an appointment for alignment. They said because I have wheel spacers on they couldn't do it. They need to better train their staff, I do not have any wheel spacers, they haven't seen or know anything about Land Cruiser 100 series. They have not even taken out the wheel to check and told me that I need to buy new wheels. Due to me running 285's on stock rims? I just got my rack and pinion and both axles done. How can I not know that I don't have wheel spacers? I do not recommend this place, they are trying to sell you and not help you. I have always gone to Les Schawb when I live in Elkgrove CA. They are super awesome, my other place is Americas Tires in Turlock they are super awesome as well and will treat you better. read more

We just left this location and are very happy with the service we were provided by Kolby. We had a tire shred up on our way back home to Elk Grove from Fresno and lucky enough they had our tire size for my rims. Kolby met us as we drove up and went straight to work. We had 2 rear tires swapped out in 45 minutes and Kolby's customer service was the best! We really appreciate how he was detailed with tires and also communicated through the install how much longer we had left. The facility has drinks and coffee to offer while you wait. Location is clean including restrooms! I really hope Kolby gets some recognition from his GM or manager because it's VERY hard to find workers that care and have great customer service like he has these days. Thank you read more

Poor experience. I ran over a screw. There was nothing they could do for my tire! But wanted me to buy all four new tires. $700 for tires that are discontinued! Or a $1,000 for the best. The Turlock location has been servicing my cars for years. They have sold me two sets of tires on the car in question. They have been rotating the tires for years on this same car. Now suddenly they will not rotate my tires do to the spacers that keep the wheels from rubbing. The Spacers have been on the car the whole time they have been working on it. They have frequently cross threaded and over torqued the lugs and have made me pay for for them on multiple occasions. Mike is very difficult to deal with and has lied on multiple occasions. I have liked Les Schwab in the past but, I am done. read more

I scheduled an appointment for a simple alignment for my vehicle and when I arrived, the Manager Mike, noticed that my vehicle had lane assist. Mike refused to align my vehicle unless I paid $209 a for "dynamic safety calibration" for my lane assist. Mike said I either had to pay for the calibration, which was twice the price of an alignment or he refused to align my vehicle. As I sat there thinking, Mike suggested I go somewhere else to have my alignment performed. I was short on time and had plans to drive to Nevada the following day with my family for Thanksgiving, so I ended up paying $329 for an alignment. The entire interaction with Mike left me feeling very uncomfortable and I truly felt like I was paying for an added service, just so the business could make extra money. Things took a turn for the worst after I paid for my alignment and entered my vehicle. I noticed the mileage on my vehicle was the same as when I dropped it off. As an experienced mechanic, I had done my research about the dynamic safety calibration process while waiting for my truck to be aligned and found to complete the process, it takes driving the vehicle for approximately 10-30 minutes at speeds of approximately 35-55 miles on multiple lane roadways with clearly marked white painted lines. I spoke to Mike again and asked if the calibration had even been completed by the technician and also brought up the issue with the mileage being the same as when I arrived. Mike seemed confused and said he'd confirm with the technician. Mike said the technician drove the vehicle around the block through the residential neighborhood and was able to complete the calibration in less than a mile. I asked Michael to provide the documentation that the calibration was actually performed and he said there was no documentation to confirm the calibration had actually been completed. At this point, I truly believe this service was never actually performed on my vehicle. I find it very strange how defensive Mike got when I had initially said I didn't need the calibration. I've never felt so uncomfortable dealing with a professional, and I truly feel like I've been taken advantage of. I'm an experienced mechanic and I can only image how customers without my experience are being tricked into services they do not need for their vehicle. When a customer comes in for tires, are they also being forced to pay for an unnecessary service such as ball joint, breaks etc.? This is truly concerning, I was forced to pay for a service I didn't want in order to get the service I had originally came in for and that's no way to do business. read more

Today I went in since my Tesla Y tire light was red and blinking. The staff were phenomenal! Very friendly, checked my air and tire tread. I'm at 43,000 miles original stock and he said I still have 5-7,000 miles left. I have went to Big Os in Modesto and Sacramento and they kept telling me I needed new tires miles ago! Made an appointment but had to wait a half hour to find out they only had 3 of the tires I wanted. Strange guy behind the counter wanted to know how far I drive a day and then asked where I drive. To me, these questions have nothing to do with what tires I choose and are out of line. The tires I did get look like my dog put them on. There is a flap of rubber hanging off the tires (see picture) 3 hours after leaving my car there I was contacted about getting new brakes and rotors on the front for the " convenient" price of $650. This is jiffy lube crap tactics at its best. I refused the offer and the salesman acted shocked and offended. They never called to tell me my car was done, I had to call them. I got all 4 brakes and rotors done as well as an oil change for $700 somewhere else. In response to your comment... Then just ask if my driving is in town or on the highway, not how far and where. As you can see it is impossible to install back once the mal-alignment occurred. The malalignment is not a pre-existing condition. But Les Schwab at Turlock, zip code 95382 refused to be responsible for the damage. analogy: people broke a glass window, and denied of having done so by saying there is a fly on the class, saying the glass was already broken before they broke it the only one time. 2. There is a immediate temporal relationship. If Les Schwab hadn't uninstalled the wheel (during unmounting/remount the wheel, probably some steps not done right, they really should investigate the procedure, otherwise there will be another victim by neglecting the problem ), this damage would not have happened. 3. Les Schwab already had done damage to my car, and we stopped their attempt to avoid further damage, by towing the car to authentic dealership to get fixed. Replacement is the only way. There is no patch-up fix for this kind of damage in this specific car. We had inspected. The hub and rotor was messed up as pictured before towing (another mechanic, towing company driver). Les Schwab refused to reimburse the damage claim resulting from their action in Les Schwab, Turlock branch, zip code 95382 It is a hassel to deal with the mess Les Schwab @ Turlock (zip code 95382) has created. If I find an interested attorney or an interested attorney contacts me, I would donate the proceeds to charity. Again, if your car is not commonly seen car models, it is better to have any service in dealership. A small patchwork in Les Schwab at Turlock (zip code 95382) caused my car a damage of 3000$. Take this example to remember how they treat their clients and how they do business. Maybe they don't care however customers review them, since people don't usually check. Anyway, be very careful about this Les Schwab store at Turlock, zip code 95382. A really bad experience. read more

The technician explained how my car was unsafe to drive and offered to have the vehicle first thing the next morning. They had it ready for me by 8:30 am the next day. I am a first time car owner, and my car began to shudder while accelerating. I called ahead to see if a walk-in would be possible that day, and I was helped by Vanessa! She told me to come in and they would check everything out for me just to make sure the car was in safe operational order. The entire ordeal took about 15 minutes! It was a mechanical issue and not a tire or suspension/alignment issue, so unfortunately I couldn't get it fixed there, but they took the time to explain what might be going on and they eased my fears of something going wrong with my tires. Don't take your car here for alignment I went to the place and they said that if they couldn't do the job they were going to let me know and give it back to me. They overcharged me for the work and i was forced to pay 130 dollars for the work that they did to the car and it was still the same after they gave it back to me totally not worth the pay and service is very bad. read more

DO NOT GO TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! We have to give a star in order to review, but it's completely undeserved. My mother took her car in to get work done. First of all, she was ripped off. The work they did was not worth the almost $2,000 she paid. Sorry guys, but my mom has grown children who know more about vehicles and you know for a FACT that you took advantage of an older woman who you assumed didn't know anything about cars. You were right . She didn't. She trusted that this place, being part of a large "reputable" franchise, would treat her with respect and honesty. Neither was the case. Every single person in this particular franchise is incompetent, excluding Vanessa who actually treated my mom like a customer that deserved respect. (Thank you Vanessa, my family and I really appreciate it.) Not only do they work at the rate of a sloth, they treat you like an idiot if they suspect you don't know anything about cars. They took advantage of my mom because she was a woman and one that didn't speak English perfectly. She had to go over and throw a fit for them to START working on her car after THREE HOURS. A job that was supposedly going to take 40 mins to an hour took more than 3, not because of the amount of work the car needed, but because they decided my mom was a second class customer. I guess they decide which customers are more important than others and an older woman with an accent doesn't cut it. She spoke to TWO MANAGERS, TWO, and she was still treated this way. They tried to charge her for a part her car supposedly needed, after my mom had already paid $2,000, but my mom flipped out, so they backtracked. Then, when they returned her car keys, she asked if they had already installed the part they supposedly had to order from Modesto. The mechanic said, he hadn't. My mom got upset again, and the manager came out and told her he had put it in. Of course he figured my mom wouldn't know whether he did or didn't. They'll just tell you whatever they want and charge you more for it. I know auto shops are notorious for discriminating against women, but my mom took her car here in good faith, and she was treated like a nobody. And keep in mind this was after she paid $2,000. I can only imagine how they would have treated her if this were just an oil change. FYI if you answer with lies, be prepared for a response. Over the years I've went back and forth between Les Schwab and Americas Tire whenever I need tires on my vehicles. The last time I went to Les Schwab for a brake check though the guy said the brakes were ok but pushed shocks,struts and new tires. I get they have to push sales, but I went in for one thing and next thing you know I have this avalanche of estimates for other items. Other than that, I've always had a good experience here. I don't really shop for tires outside of Les Schwab and Americas Tire, but the latter usually beats out Les Schwab. The advantage of LS though is the alignment,brake, and suspension services that AT doesn't offer. Good business overall from what I've seen. read more
