Stayed at the SIXTY hotel and... Wow, what an experience - and not in the way they probably intended. From the moment you walk in, you're hit with a cloud of cologne so aggressive it makes you wonder if you accidentally wandered into a perfume duty-free instead of a hotel lobby. We decided to check out the rooftop bar for our anniversary because nothing says romance, like skyline views, and overpriced cocktails. Unfortunately, the food and drinks were aggressively mid - like inspiring neither joy nor outrage. Then came the plot twist. An unhinged woman (not a hotel guest mind.You) planted herself next to us and proceeded to interrupt dinner like she was part of the entertainment package. When we asked the waiter for help his response "What can we do?"iconic. Truly groundbreaking customer service. Just when we thought things couldn't escalate further a Roach made its grand entrance. My husband now apparently part-time pest control, calmly grabbed it with a napkin and handed it to the bartender. Honestly, the most efficient service interaction of the night. At that point, we did what any rational people would do - bolted back to our room, while subtly checking over our shoulders to make sure we weren't being followed by our new friend from the bar. All jokes aside, it was actually pretty unsettling. The next morning, I tried to speak with a manager about the obvious concerns: How did a non- guest make it into a secured floor? What exactly is the hotels approach to Security? And why does it take 12 hours to get a response... From an assistant... Saying Mr. Jazul is very busy? How comforting to know, guest safety ranks somewhere below his calendar. Still haven't heard from him - I assume he's overwhelmed, implementing all those robust safety measures. Would I stay again? Only if I develop a sudden passion for chaos, mystery fumes, and immersive, horror dining experiences. read more

Definitely came for the ambience, but stayed for the good drinks and vibes! I got a Cherry Poppins and a Prosecco. The Cherry Poppins was just okay, it had a smoky aftertaste I wasn't feeling, but refreshing overall. We had an 8pm reservation for a Wednesday, and it was definitely lively, but not overcrowded or loud. It's a great place for drinks or dinner, my only regret was not ordering food all the dishes smelled amazing! I will definitely be back. read more

THE Juan is incredibly sensitive for someone working in customer service. He made the rental process extremely difficult and got OFFENDED when I commented on the experience. He threatened to refuse service to us because he can't handle a comment about the difficult and lengthy process we experienced. Not impressed with our experience renting a car with this company. Nothing but hoops to jump through. We were better off going to a generic company. I've never had this poor of a rental experience. Never again..... Pick somewhere else to rent a car. I hesitated to write this review. However, after much consideration and no response from management here goes: I stayed here for a weekend while doing a training. First off, booking the room the prices online vs. members was not valid. I paid over $500 per/night for 220 sq ft. room that was pretty warn down. First night the food was undercooked. I got red meat for a medium burger. I opted not to eat at the hotel again. Second day, I couldn't get something as simple as ice. Third, upon checkout I was charged $70 for valet per/night for my car. The website says $60 and so does all email and confirmation communications. I would rate their customer service zero, and that would go to the GM. I gave a 75$ gift certificate to someone Christmas 2019. I was assured that even though the gift certificate (GC) was purchased at their restaurant it could be used anyway in the hotel. The GC came in a 60Hotels envelope. Covid hit, the restaurant is no more, replaced by another. They refused to honor a mere $75 GC. What kind of customer service is that, hardly makes one want to recommend this property. I guess they do not consider good will, all for $75. No class. We, as customers, are supposed to give a pass to all these service industries because they suffered so during covid, excusing poor customer service, minimal services, higher prices, staff shortages etc.... While checking in, I discovered the hotel would not honor many of the perks that were promised. This review is strictly for the valet parking but since it's impossible to park on the street I would expect the hotel to be extra careful about the valet company they choose to employ. But when I called to report what happened they made sure to tell me "that's a third party" and basically not their problem. Okay fine. But It's been nearly three weeks since the "incident" where the valet left red marker stains on my brand new white leather seats. After calling 4 times and leaving messages the assistant manager of valet finally got back to me 48 hours after the incident and I'll tell you it certainly felt like they were dodging me. After getting very short notice (and having to cancel a long awaited appointment) they scheduled a guy to come and fix it and promised me a refund $23 and refund my $10 tip. Yes $10 tip! And it's been 3 weeks with no refunds once so ever. But the seats were fixed. Honestly I would have been an easy patron to deal with not wasted my time writing reviews if they had just chosen to answer me from the start and give me my refund. This was a nice boutique hotel. Staff was efficient and friendly when we checked in. It was nice that I was able to do a pre check-in online. They have a cafe downstairs so it was convenient to get a quick grab for breakfast. I tried their Shaggy Latte which is this new mushroom coffee that has a lot of health benefits. It tasted rich and earthy. We enjoyed the pool area for the early afternoon. Had a cool vibe and it wasn't super busy. Pool and bar was on the rooftop. We ordered some lunch while enjoying the pool and sun. We ordered the kale salad and the burrata and prosciutto pizza with Calabrian pepper honey drizzle. Also ordered guacamole and chips. I wouldn't order those again but the pizza and sad was a good portion and can feed 3-4 people. The room we stayed in was a little tight but we had 2 full size beds. Wish they had double queen size. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The only thing we disliked was the alarm that went off both nights in the room next to us. We weren't sure if it was occupied but it kept going off. DISGUSTING!!! If I could give negative stars I would. Roach after roach after roach after roach. Flies frozen into ice cubes AND dead flies inside drinks that weren't from ice cubes. Service was non existent. We had to wave people down to come over even tho the place was by no means full. Anyway, at some point we started seeing HUGE ROACHES all over. Under our feet, under other peoples feet, by their heads etc I went to the bathroom and a girl said that she KILLED 3 roaches where she was sitting!!!!! Then, I go back to our table and our pizza arrived, we see a roach running right towards the pizza. We decide to leave, stand up, and see 2 MORE roaches running around near our pizza too. I was so disgusted. My stomach almost turned. Oh yeah!! My friend's drink had A FLY FROZEN INTO HIS ICE CUBE AND A DEAD FLY JUST IN HIS DRINK. 2 FLIES IN HIS DRINK. I can not make this up. So we had to leave the rooftop even tho we didn't want to. Went back to the room and there was of course a MASSIVE bug on the wall that he had to kill too. I reached out to report that my card was charged for minibar items I didn't purchase. I used the complimentary soaps and lotion that are provided as courtesy for guests only to learn later that they had been charged after I left the hotel. I called and spoke with a 'guest service agent' who stated the following to me: "So, you think you can just take something if it's out there?" Umm, yes, I do think I can, you degenerative imbecile, especially if it is put out there for complimentary use the way all soaps, gels, lotions and conditioners have been since the history of hotels. I have always used these and then packed them up after my stay whether I went to Disneyland or Tahoe. Everyone does this. These are for complimentary use. Nowhere is the sale of these posted. It not indicated anywhere on the website, my booking ticket, my receipt, in the room or on the bottles that these products are for sale. It is indicated that these are part of the amenities included with the room. No one disclosed to me that these were for sale. I was charged over $130.00 for these. I told him that he was being very unprofessional. I asked to speak with the manager. He laughed many times during this call. Was it because he knew that I was in the vulnerable position and could do nothing about how they used my card and made purchases, thinking I wouldn't notice? I told him that I really don't think a manager is going to call me back, so I do not wish to provide my number. He stated to me that he already has it, he laughed and we ended the call. No one has called me. He told me over this phone call that the complimentary items are taken and refilled for re-use. Really? You re-use items for other guests? Towels and sheets are one thing, but you refill product bottles? Especially, during this time of COVID-19? Wait, so you let guests use them for free in the room, but if we pack the bottles, we get charged? Hmm, so maybe I should have used the product entirely and not taken the bottles home? Then I wouldn't have gotten charged? Oh, totally makes sense. I have attempted to reach Michael Bridges via email--apparently he is the area manager of the Sixty Beverly Hills group. I have heard nothing back from him. I got my bank involved yesterday to dispute the matter. There is no way to reach senior management. Meh. Mediocre at best. I chose this hotel out of work accomodations and this room was not $$$ worthy at all. This hotel is quiet, tucked away, but also doesn't provide anything that elevates it. For something close to Rodeo, I expected a little more. The bathroom didn't even have hand soap (which I had to request for). Roof too bar felt a little lackluster but it is also only a Monday. The photos that everyone else posted seems like a facade. This room is just a room, nothing fancy or "nice" at all. Nothing here to "wow" me. If you guys were in a pinch, I would suggest looking elsewhere. read more

I was really nervous booking Sixty Beverly hills considering some of these reviews but my stay was relaxing at this hotel. Because of COVID-19 there were a number of restrictions such as the amenities being unavailable. However, the location at this hotel is central so if you need a gym there is an LA fitness nearby. Room service was non existent because of the restrictions for COVID-19 but there is a rooftop bar that offers food and drinks, a mini bar and snacks in the hotel room, and also a restaurant downstairs. One negative was you can't charge food or drinks to the room and you have to pick up what you order since room service is unavailable. Also they do not accept apple pay so you will need to bring cash or card with you to pick up your order. Wont rate too harshly because things are not the same since COVID-19. This hotel has its cons but I feel that every hotel will during these times. recommend staying at this hotel if you are looking for a hotel with prime location and reasonable pricing.. read more

I would like to take this time to express how extremely disappointed I am with the customer service here. I requested for towels and I have been waiting over two hours, yet still no towels. I had to call front desk and insist on the towels again. When I turned on the AC, it smelled really bad. Much like cigarettes and/or marijuana stench. Valet is also very expensive here. even though it was advertised as free. It's $45 dollars for the day but if you leave for an outing and come back you have to pay again. It's the worst service I've had in a hotel. Forgot to mention, that if you run out of toilet paper you have to come down to the front desk to pick up your roll. Not worth staying here. It's not a cheap hotel, and you'd expect a little more from a "trendy hot-spot" not to feel like you've been fooled into staying at the holiday inn. Staff is rude & they refuse to help with basic stuff like bringing something up to your room. Extra towels, ice (you have to ask for, no machine), a Postmates delivery. First, the pool is nice with a good view and, AT FIRST, the staff was awesome, BUT... Our room was just okay. It was on the small side and in desperate need of updating. It just seemed very stale and worn. We (3 of us) were only there for one night in a double room so we figured we could make the most of it. When it came time to get ready for dinner we realized how dark our room was, as the sun had changed angles and not casting much light into our room. All of the mirrors in the room are smoked and the bathroom lighting is what you would expect in a romantic setting. We coudn't see well enough to apply makeup. There was a magnified 'make-up' mirror that only had the dark setting so that was no help. It was extremely frustrating to deal with this, plus the dark smoked mirrors in the dim room made it difficult to know how your outfit looked. I went to the front desk and inquired about other rooms - were there any with better lighting. I was frustrated and, while I was not rude or condesending, I made it clear I knew it was not his fault and apologized if I seemed rude. I was escorted to an available room to check out the lighting there. It was somewhat better in the bathroom. The lighting configuration was a little different in this room plus the fact that the direction this room was angled allowed the sun to shine brightly in there. It was literally a world of difference. I was told that we could change rooms from our double to a king size room where one of us would have to sleep on the couch. This would cost us an additional $70 because it was a suite vs the standard room we had. I declined because this place was already overpriced for the rundown room we had. We didn't care about the 'suite', as it was evening and we would be out until it was time to sleep then we would be leaving first thing in the morning to head to another location. We ended up applying our makeup out in the better lit hallway at the mirror near the elevator. When heading to dinner, as we exited the elevator at the lobby, the gentleman who showed me the suite and offered the upgrade was with another hotel employee. The other employee in a loud and demaning tone said to the desk clerk, "Is that her??" Obviously they had had a conversation about me. And THAT is why they are getting one star instead of 3. My friends had to guide me out of the hotel to stop me from going back and saying that, "Yes, it is me." There are MUCH better places in the same price range in the area. read more

The down sides, the room was not clean, floor wasn't clean , the fact that everything is black ( floors, walls, shower) makes it hard to see the dirt which probably makes the cleaners work easy because they don't clean the room as they should. Just returned from a mother/adult daughter getaway for 6 nights here. I seriously considered splurging on one of the higher end hotels in the area and so glad I settled here. That gave us a bigger budget for restaurants and shopping, which were all a super convenient walk from this area. We had a king suite - bedroom was very small, as was the bath, but its nice to have that separate living area, which was of decent size. Room decor is a bit tired and dated, but was clean and quiet with housekeeping service on point. We were in room 501 which was at back end of building and noise (nor safety) was never a factor. Best part of hotel is their 2-level rooftop, where I spent a lot of my hotel time enjoying peaceful sun rises and sun sets. But what makes this hotel special is it's staff. Everyone I encountered was extremely polite. I was greeted and welcomed by both bellstand and front desk with each entrance and exit. The rooftop attendants, cleaners and bar staff were all just as kind also. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if visiting this area. read more
