The Raspberry Roast Beef special. Huge and delicious!
    Brian C.

Clean store, pleasant atmosphere, sharp and efficient service, generous and delicious food, good value and good community involvement. This joint ticks the boxes! My gal had the raspberry roast beef sandwich special, and I had the Cuban grinder. The proteins are treated with respect here, and it shows. Roast beef is tender and delicious, ham is smoky and rich, and the roast pork is juicy and unctuous... Have to mention the fresh, delicious proprietary breads too. Quality veg and sauces, applied evenly and consistently, bring it all together. This is where you go to get a good sammich in Bellingham. They're big sandwiches too, so if you're not both famished one sandwich can easily feed two people, fyi. Totally trying their scratch-made soups next time. And I've got to try that legendary Ruben... Highly recommended!

Way too overpriced, I'm actually surprised they're still open. I payed 7 dollars for the beast breakfast sandwich for it to come out looking like an egg Mc muffin sandwich from McDonald's. Wouldn't recommend honestly. The service was good, good vibes and the place is actually gorgeous with amazing menu boards. Although the tables are so outdated and ruin most of the good vibes. Come here with low expectations.

We came and got coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and a deli sandwich for lunch later since we were heading for a hike. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I even spilled my drink all over the floor and they were so kind about it. They cleaned it up and gave me a new one on the house. The English muffin for the breakfast sandwich was so light and amazing! Really really good bread. Highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, or a delightful snack!

I LOVE Avenue bread. Their breakfast menu is robust and inventive, including a list of breakfast sandwiches featuring local meat, cheese and produce, and with the ability to be served on their delectable rosemary English muffin. They also serve scrambles if you are looking for something bigger and they come with toast if your choosing and perfectly crispy hash browns. Lastly, their sandwiches. Being a bread shop, you'd assume good sandwiches have to be a must, but you will be shocked at just how good these babies are! My absolute favorite is the turkey cranberry, it tastes just as you'd want a thanksgiving leftover sandwich to taste with a cranberry cream cheese, fresh sliced roasted turkey, red onion and cucumbers for texture. Seriously, cannot recommend enough. Also their staff is awesome and quick, the brunette gal who has been working at the downtown location for years is especially great!

I called in a rushed pickup order for our work today, and Avenue Bread's Team has our sandwich order ready to go within minutes when I arrived to pick it up. They were very friendly and courteous, and appreciated them having our order correct and delicious to bring back to work. I also ordered a sandwich for myself and ordered the Gourmet Turkey Sandwich; I loved the French Bread, lots of yumminess of meat, cheese and peppers, and love the sprouts! Delicious sandwiches and great service! Thanks for saving the day with our work lunch order!

Avenue Bread is a downtown staple, and for good reason. First of all, they have wayyy more than bread. Yes, they're a bakery, and they have some amazing baked goods, but they also have a huge menu of sandwiches, soups, and other tempting treats. I usually go during breakfast and order one of their "Eggenue" sandwiches. From the BEAST to the French they are ALL good and very fresh and filling. You get your choice of a plain, whole grain, or rosemary English muffin - all of which are tasty options. If you're super hungry, ask for a side of hash browns. They cook them up super-crispy, just how I like 'em. And of course, their bottomless coffee is no slouch either. The service is always friendly, they have free wi-fi, and as long as you remember to keep your parking meter fed you can pretty much hang out here for hours. It's one of my favorite spots in downtown Bellingham to bring my laptop and get some serious work done (while, of course, enjoying delicious food too).

Their savory goat cheese pesto roll is the best bread that I have had in ages and I make bread and pizza dough from scratch!

Decent food but $13.50 for a breakfast burrito is absolutely ridiculous. You shouldn't have to bus your own table at that price.

My wife and the "girls" stopped here and it was delicious. She had the sunnyland omelette and loved it. Definitely worth a try.

Best sandwiches in Bellingham!! GREAT options for diet-conscious people. It's often too hot in there to sit down and enjoy it though. . .

Type of cuisine: Bread. All things freshly baked: bread edition. And all things on freshly baked bread. Sandwiches, pastries, coffees and more. Ambiance: Cozy, and vast, the space is equal parts grandma's country house charm and idyllic Fairhaven. The front is quickly bustling as we enter right as the doors open for the day, a line immediately building up behind. us. This spacious entryway full of menus in chalk and digitally are graced with a plethora of tasty options for snacks, meals, and treats enjoyed in the large, expansive restaurant or outside in the parking space-turned patio seating area. What I ordered: We selected four of their breakfast sandwiches on signature rosemary bread, each one as delicious as the last. For beverages, a mocha, an americano, and two steamed milks made their way to our table. What I loved: The sandwiches. Greasy, full, tasty and full of a novelty of tastes. They were devoured. They had several kinds of indian food, a lush salad bar, and TONS of fresh-made deli items. I was tempted by a grilled salmon salad, gluten free mac and cheese, and the gluten free carrot cake. Ended up getting a vegan tofu burrito bowl and it was so good! I couldn't help but browse the snacks. They had every brand I love here, with flavors I had never even heard of. Ended up somehow resisting the desserts and huge fridge dedicated to olives and pickled goods and just got out with a few kinds of vegan jerky (which is hard to find for me). Again, heaven. I will have to come back on a cheat day when I am ready to sample all the gluten free dessert.

The inside (and out) is well kept and welcoming. I love seeing what the soap sample of the week is.
