Went here on a rainy/windy day and seating was packed inside so we opted to sit on the covered patio. While they had outdoor standup heater lamps and some overhead heaters and it was covered/walled For the most part, the table we were given had a wind draft as the patio did not cover it completely and it was right in line with the patio entry ramp. We asked to move to another spot once one became available and they were able to accommodate us and it was a lot better. Food was delish. They also offered hot tea (celestial seasonings) and I got a personal DIY mimosa with mini champagne bottle (manufactured in Lodi!) And cup of O.J. to make as strong or light as I wanted. I got the all meat omelette and the waitress asked if I wanted the half size. It was not listed on the menu but she told me it was a couple dollars less and 3 eggs rather than 5 eggs! So opted for the smaller portion. Thought that that was good info to have and should probably be printed on the menu. Omelette came with country potatoes and choice of toast. I asked for hash browns but they did not have them...waitress did say they could do the country potatoes extra crispy though so opted for that. Service was 5 star and our waitress was very sweet and even struck up conversation with us. One thing to note is that they still dont have updated registers, so you receive hand written bill at the end and have to write in your tip before they take your card. They had no issue doing split checks. I would definitely return. read more

Ordered here today and holy cow! My sister got the flapjacks (which are HUGE) and so good and fluffy with great flavor - we then got a side order or the potato meat platter and seriously such great flavor and huge serving. Then got a veggie lover omelette which had to be the best one I've had hands down. Loyal new customer now and will be back! Avenue Grill is a great spot to stop in if you're hungry and enjoy quick, friendly service. We were traveling through Lodi on a Sunday morning and found Avenue Grill on Yelp. As other Yelpers have noticed and reported, the food is ample (think Claim Jumper sized portions) and the staff is cordial, efficient and quick to notice anything that needs correcting. There's a well-built patio with heaters and a permanent awning - perfect for getting some fresh air if the somewhat tight seating inside is getting you closer than you'd like to your dining neighbors. This by far might be one of the "homiest" go to breakfast spots I've ever been to. Certainly some of the best pancakes I've ever had, the food is always fresh and just feels like it's home cooked. This is strange I know I have reviewed this place and for some reason my review dropped off...anyway I love Avenue Grill in Lodi, Ca we come here every time we are in Lodi for breakfast or lunch. We own a second home in Lodi so pretty much every other week...if you are in Lodi and don't experience breakfast here then you missed out. Hands down on my opinion they have the best breakfast in Lodi. I have ventured all over the menu and have never been disappointed...my favs are the all meat omelette add mushrooms. This is easily a meal for 2 people. I also really like all of their eggs benedict you can't go wrong with any of them. Plus there bacon is always cooked perfectly to order. In addition the staff is always great and super friendly. Family owned business and a must stop while in Lodi and great way to start a wine tasting day. read more

Love this place. Portion sizes are great. I usually can't finish my food when I come in so I end up taking it home. Service is pretty standard. You can tell this place has built up a lot of regulars over the years. Over the few times I've come in I've heard the waitresses greeting customers by name. I've even overheard the, 'you want the usual?' question being asked pretty frequently when I come in. It's a place with loyal customers and food. You definitely won't leave hungry. I love that they more than just breakfast here. I'll alternate between the California chicken sandwich and an omelet. Food is great. Chef's are always friendly. Food always comes out hot and fresh here. Only complaints I have is I feel they need a water filter. If they have it currently, it should be upgraded. Found the tea tasting too much like tap. The place also gets very crowded on weekends and there's no good space to wait. You may find yourself waiting outside with a handful of others on a weekend, I recommend dressing for the weather. They're able to counter this well by letting you sit wherever you want if there's no waiting list and solid food so it's not too big of a deal to me. read more
