    Half pepperoni, half sausage pizza
    Daviyion J.

Tried out Avenue on a friend's recommendation and I was not disappointed. I ordered the Wednesday pizza special ($14.49 for a large pizza with one topping). I got the pepperoni and sausage pizza. Let's get the elephant in the room out of the way: the sausage not being crumbled freaked me out, haha. Didn't actually impact taste, but it definitely shaped how I felt eating each slice. Why is not crumbled?! Anyways, the pizza was good. About the same to comparable Buffalo pizza spots I've tried.

Before I moved into Kenmore, this was my "go-to" pizza place. Towards the end of living on Shoshone,I noticed the portions were getting smaller & the prices were going up frequently. The food wasn't tasting as good anymore. Then,we moved to Kenmore & still continued to order, but the food just kept getting worse & my subs were practically empty. We started ordering from a different place that never lets us down. Lastnight,we decided to give Avenue one more try, mainly because their prices are cheaper than most & we couldn't afford more than they offered. Well, there is a reason why their prices are cheaper, the food is awful now. We ordered a Sheet Pizza & a bucket of wings. (Wings 1/2 hot 1/2 medium) When we got our food "late" the wings looked so dry & there was no difference between the hot & medium. They had NO sauce on them at all. I was trying to smell them to see if there was a difference in the smell of hotness. There was not,but I can say, they smelled HORRIBLE !! Omg,the smell was so bad. They smelled like they were cooked in the morning's oil that has been used all day long. Either that,or the wings went bad or sat out. My son, fiancé & I ate a few because we were so hungry for wings, but,we couldn't get them down without a lot of our hot sauce & bleu cheese. All of us ended up sick. Not food poisoned, but very nauseous & well,u know the other reaction. I still,to this moment,am sick to my stomach & have been unable to eat for over 24 hours. My stomach is sooo blaaahhhhh. All of us are still feeling the consequences of their horrible wings. This place May be inexpensive, but it's not worth getting bad food, empty subs, and very sick. This was an extremely bad experience & we will never be ordering from here again.

    medium and mild wings (30)

We had ordered 30 wings for pick up, and the conversation i had on the phone was so odd, i almost did not want to complete my order. Whoever answered the phone had almost 0 manners and seemed annoyed to be doing their job.. they didn't even ask how we wanted our wings just "ok 30 wings anything else" lol - kind of irked me. I also asked if they could do mostly flats and was told "if you order 20, we can do more flats, but 30-no" i am not sure if this is like standard cause it does not seem logical to me since you can order 10 at a time but okay, whatever. Went to pick up our order and the person at the counter was actually very polite, wasn't expecting that after the phone call. As for the wings.. i did see someone complain about dry wings and do see what they were saying.. but at the same time i personally enjoy crispy dry wings (personal preference) We ordered half medium and half mild wings on the BBQ. Mild was so bland but medium was quite good. For me the only issued with these wings were the fact that they were extreeeeeemely oily. good crisp and good crunch - but like no wing should be a bite of oil.

    Baked beef sub

Not sure what happened to the quality and portions of food here. This was my go to for subs and pizza. The baked beef had hardly any ingredients. So sad.

Raw cheese that did not even melt bcuz it was added after they cooked it

Super dissatisfied with the food & service I received from this place today. When I entered this restaraunt to get 2 slices of pizza. I was greeted right away & my money was taken. Waited way too long for my slices to be warmed.. expecting my slices to be burned when I received them, they were not. My slices had no cheese just sauce. This restaraunt added cheese on top for it to be warmed up on my pizza nasty as hell & I will never return!

The pepperoni is excellent and cooked to perfection!! Been going here for years and it's not hard to decide which pizza joint to call.

I had heard good things about Naked City Pizza, so I decided to take a break from my usual spots and give them a try and overall, I am very pleased! I called around 4:45pm on a Saturday and a gentleman took my order. He was courteous and friendly and said my order would be ready in 25-30 minutes. I arrived about 30 minutes later, easily finding a parking spot in their large parking lot, which is a mixture of pavement and dirt/gravel. Walking inside the shop, it's similar to most Buffalo pizza shops where it's relatively small and really about take-out, not for dining in. There were a few young guys working the counter and ovens, they were able to get me in and out quickly. From the limited time I was inside, the workers were friendly enough, they seemed to get along well. For dinner, I ordered a Quarter Sheet (6 slices) Steak and Three Cheese pizza but the gentleman who took my order over the phone put my order in as a Half Sheet (12 slices). They realized the mistake too late and gave me the Half Sheet for the Quarter Sheet price! I really do appreciate that, it's great customer service. I have half a pizza leftover for a quick dinner now! Naked City Pizza nails the traditional Buffalo-style with a doughier undercarriage and nice crispy, chewy crust. The dough was airy but it didn't seem as "heavy" as many other pizza places around Buffalo, but maybe I was just REALLY hungry. haha For their steak pizza, it seems like they use thicker pieces of steak, which was great, definitely felt more substantial. Most steak pizzas come topped with banana, hot, or sweet (bell/green) peppers, but Naked City uses roasted red peppers, which are sweet and have a more distinct flavor and softer texture - I was impressed, this paired VERY well with the other components! Along with them, there's also onions on top. The three cheeses used are cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan, which of course are delicious. In addition to the roasted sweet peppers, the other component that I was surprised by was the white garlic sauce as the base. Steak pizzas around Buffalo vary from using a "hoagie oil/sauce" to just a huge variety of cheeses, no base sauce of any kind. I tend to stay away from white sauce on pizza as it's usually associated with garlic (I don't want my breath to be too... fragrant haha), but this wasn't too garlic-y, I didn't feel like I was "wearing it". I enjoyed the added creaminess the white sauce added to this pie. After six slices, I stopped myself and put the other half in the freezer. The six slices I had were delicious and filled me up nicely - The squares were cut nicely and they were plenty filling with tons of meat and cheese. I have a feeling these will reheat in the oven nicely. Looking at the prices, I was impressed too with how affordable Naked City Pizza is! All-in-all, I'm glad I gave Naked City Pizza a chance and had a great experience! The staff are friendly enough and quick, it's easy to get in and out quickly, and the pizza is traditional Buffalo-style so it's on the heartier end while being affordable. I look forward to ordering and trying a red sauce pizza from Naked City Pizza to see how sweet their sauce is.

I took my son there for lunch the other day, and we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who as it turns out, I knew from his previous restaurants stops. I hadn't seen him in about 15 years, but I recognized him instantly. Great service, polite and courteous staff, and delicious fresh food, are my initial reactions. I was surprised how good the San Franco pizza was! I also had a bowl of Pasta Fasola which was outstanding. I live in the city of Buffalo between Delaware and Elmwood and there are many pizza places around here, plus, I grew up on Bocce on Bailey pizza. However, the Forno Napoli pizza now ruins all others for me. I have never been to Italy, but I imagine this is what pizza is like there. Authentic and fresh. I'm taking all 3 of my kids back there tonight. Trying their salads and pasta as well. This place was very busy on a weekday at 4pm, so it is not a secret. It is also not cheap. I enjoyed my pizza, although I wouldn't order this one again. I do want to say that it is pricey but you will get a very big pie of great quality. The dough was excellent! It was actually my favorite part and I've never said that about any pizza! Atmosphere is extremely casual. There's fruit infused waters to have and you go and grab them yourself (back right corner). I think we tried almost every flavor, but the standouts were the Buffalo Chicken - which I would never order but it was so incredibly good and the crust is perfection. They offer both fountain sodas and a generous selection of refrigerated drink options also. Once you order, there is a back dining room with several different size tables, but all with Bills chairs, which is a neat trend we loved seeing in this area, despite being from Florida. The man who greeted us was kind helpful and I was impressed with the pizza options. We ordered: - Buffalo Chicken: had a really good flavor & was my favorite! - BBQ Chicken: my son loved it - Margerhita: also had a good flavor - Pickle: the best we've had by far - Beef Pattie: looks like a Jamaican one but isn't spicy and had a very strange almost veal or lamb taste. Overall the flavors of the pizzas were really very good, but unfortunately every slice was so overcooked and burnt that it quickly overtook the great flavor of each bite. Now, the thing is, everyone likes different kinds of pizza, and apparently Brooklyn style isn't necessarily our jam, but for something we really don't like (black crust), it was still very good and we would highly recommend it to people who like more cooked pizza.

This time I ordered their take on a WNY specialty pizza: the chicken finger pizza. In short, it was fantastic! Since I'm a member of their rewards program, I received a "$5 off your next order" code and figured it'd been a couple months since my last visit. The coupon couldn't have come at a better time. I placed my order online on a Saturday around 4:15pm for a 5:05pm pick-up. I know, you lose a bit of the personability when you don't call the restaurant to place an order, but online ordering is so easy and quick, and I love being able to pick my pick-up time and know my order will be ready, and paid for, when I arrive. As of 07/2026, the inside of One Pie Pizza Co. underwent a remodel. It's not as spacious, but I think it opens up their kitchen more, which I'm 100% on-board with since that means more pizza and other goodies. The staff are just as friendly and courteous as ever, I'm glad that hasn't changed. So, for dinner, I ordered a QTR Sheet (six slice) from their "SUPER Specialty Pizza" menu - The BFLO Chicken Finger (blue cheese base) cooked "LIGHT WELL DONE", which is a choice between their homemade red sauce or blue cheese base that is topped with diced chicken fingers, mozzarella cheese, and Frank's (medium) sauce. The "LIGHT WELL DONE" option is for cooking the dough underneath a bit more, firming it up, making it crispier. I like a little extra cook on my pizza as, sometimes, the Buffalo-style dough is a bit too limp, almost soggy/wet, which makes holding a slice... challenging. haha Now, I've had a few chicken finger pizzas throughout the years and while I love them, they don't always love me back. They're typically very dense pizzas thanks to all the cheese (blue cheese base AND cheese blends on top) but I was impressed with how well One Pie Pizza Co.'s sat. Don't get me wrong, this pizza is absolutely loaded. When I opened the box, I was worried how I was going to pick it up as it looked messy, but as they say, appearances can be deceiving! I was impressed and didn't finish my meal wearing it all over my hands and face. Every slice was generously topped, the flavor was spot-on. Now, I love a cheesy pizza, but I really appreciate the constraint One Pie Pizza Co. showed with not going overboard with a "blend" of cheeses on top of a blue cheese base - The layer of mozzarella was plenty, a great flavor on its own. As with all of their pizza, this left me happy and full. With that $5 off coupon, this brought the price to under $20, an incredible price, especially in 2026! One Pie Pizza Co. remains one of my favorite pizzas in Buffalo. I'm glad I finally tried their chicken finger pizza, this was excellent. With how well it agreed with me, I'm pretty confident in saying One Pie Pizza Co. will be where I order chicken finger pizzas from exclusively going forward!
