I had to reheat the shrimp fra Diablo, the salad packed on top of the fra Diablo was warm, I threw the salad out. The food itself was not very good. Overdone shrimp and linguine soaked in thick sauce. Even the bread was yuk. Wasn't really a nice piece of crunchy Italian but what appeared to be a pizza crust, maybe focaccia not sure but very dry and crumbly. A little gem in Brewster/Southeast! We have catered food from them for many weeks for a few years of Alpha Marriage program at St Lawrence so we have eaten most of the items on their menu, The food was amazing week after week!! Chicken Florentine, Sorrentino, Adolina, Francese, Parmesan all fantastic!! Florentine was our favorite but all were delicious! Eggplant rollantini, pasta primavera, Sachetti pasta, and Orecchiette with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage all delicious!!! The salads are great as well! Aversanos is that one local restaurant that you can always count on to have good consistent Italian food. Their catering services are excellent as well. This past summer, I had a pretty large outdoor party and ordered a few trays of food. Not only were the trays delivered on time but they were fresh, piping hot, and most importantly, delicious! The chicken Florentine was a huge hit. It is so nice when all of your party guests compliment the food. It was a no brainer that this past Christmas dinner was catered by Aversanos. The prices are reasonable and they always offer a coupon. The take out or dine in menu offers much variety and the food is of course delicious. They have a nice assortment of soups and specialty pizzas to choose from. Located in a shopping center is a plus for parking. Definitely the best Italian restaurant in the area. read more

No gloves. Worker was using bare hands to move chopped bacon from a pan to a large plastic bag. He then took my credit card, used the touch screen to ring up my order, and handed my card back. Without washing hands in-between Then continued to use dirty bare hands to touch the bacon. What happens in the back where we can't see food prep? We were here for a communion party recently for a family member over the weekend. The restaurant is located in a large parking lot with other businesses and was easy to find. Our gathering was in the back room just behind the pizzeria area. You can enter the establishment on either the pizzeria or restaurant side to get there. The back area is a decent size to accommodate a small party. The party had passed around apps, a pasta course, a choice for your main and desserts. Overall the food was very delicious. I thought the flavors were very good and balanced. The meatballs and eggplant rollatini were my favs of the appetizers. The vodka sauce used on the penne pasta was very creamy and coated the pasta well. The entree I had the chicken francese which was lightly coated and had a nice butter lemon sauce. Of course everyone loved the pastries. The cannolis were the best with a nice cannoli creme that was just at the right sweetness. A hidden gem in a strip mall. Can't say enough about the food and the service. You have to try the Asian Calamari!!!!! We also ordered the broccoli rabe with sausage & beans delicious and the broccoli rabe was not bitter. I've been coming to Aversano's for years and I love that it is family run and how the staff always checks-in to make sure we're happy throughout our meal. You just feel taken care of. As to the eats, they have a great menu overall but my favs - the buffalo mozzarella is melt in your mouth, the penne ala vodka has the perfect sauce and the arugula prosciutto pizza is so unique and flavorful but still somehow feels light even though it's pizza. For an appetizer I would recommend the broccoli rabe, white bean & sweet sausage dish. The flavors are bold & fantastic. Was taking our COVID drive and came across this Resturant. Service and food was really good.

The waiter forgot to place some of our order with the kitchen. It took 30 minutes for a round of drinks for which we were charged twice. The chicken scarpiello was absolutely awful. The spaghetti and meatballs was also awful and the sauce tasted like Ragu. Even with all the issues a manager never came to the table. We will not be dining here again. read more

I liked that there was a few original slices on the menu and it was nice that there were also a few different calzones to pick from. There is seating in the front when you pick up your pizza, but there is also dining in the back and there is a bar. The pizza slices were huge for $3.50 that you paid and definitely filled you up. I had a slice with Tomato, Chicken, and bacon and my friend had a slice of white pizza with spinach and chicken. Service was speedy and you can watch TV. while you eat. I was even surprised that it was so full at 2pm because usually the lunch rush would be over. Must be more proof that this is a place to try. read more

We feel so fortunate to live near this great Italian restaurant! Every dish is oversized and tastes just like eating in an Italian home (I'm not Italian but have eaten in Italian homes!). Had an early dinner New Year's Eve, pleased to find it was the regular menu with holiday specials rather than a special menu which many restaurants do. The chef/owner spoke to everyone in the dining room, a welcoming touch. My husband and son both went for Nonna's meatballs (a favorite), we shared the calamari, had salads, entrees and even though we were so full, all ordered dessert (Chef made ricotta cheesecake, had to have it Yum!). Had such a disappointing situation recently. My husband and I were at one of the small tables in the bar. We ordered food to go, and each ordered an appetizer and a glass of wine while we waited... the tables are very tiny, and between the plates, wine, water, condiments... well, quite a crowed situation. I reached for the salt, knocking my wine glass over, and of course, the 'dominos effect' My glass knocked over my husband's, and both of our plates were full of wine and you can picture the rest. The waitress came over with towels to help us clean up. We ordered another glass of wine, and waited for our to-go order. They did not even offer to replenish the wine or the appetizers. Trying out some pizza places in the area, and usually start with the margherita as point of evaluation. This was the soggiest pizza I've ever had- due to the heavy use of very wet tomatoes. A good pizzeria should know very well how to avoid this on a fundamental pizza staple like the margherita.
