Unfortunately, this dealership uses false tactics to get you to buy their cars. For example, they make it mandatory for you to buy their Carefree Paint Protection and they tell you that it will cover your exterior paint in case of chips or anything to the paint when it reality it is ONLY for stains on the exterior. Also, the purchase contract says it is optional but they tell you it is not. Armen Megerdich was the sales man who found the car for me and notified me immediately, I went to the lot loved the car and got a great deal, one thing was bothering me is that the car had one key, I asked them for a second key and they said they will do their best, a few days later they called me with a brand new key programed for my car. Under new management just a few days ago! This place is run by a top notch man! Our Subaru started to fall apart shortly after Disney departure. Google said this was the closest Avis to the dealer. The sign say sales but they do rent cars and moving vans! We walked in with no notice and he hooked us up with an excellent one way rental with efficiency and kindness. This was one of the worst experiences as far as customer service I've experienced. If you are looking to get a car picked out for you and have to take it in whatever condition they send you to save a few bucks, this is for you. It seems like a good deal until you deal with their inexperienced sales agents over the phone, who don't know the process any better than the customer. By the time you figure out how the process works they call and say that you are only getting 2 test drives, so take what we send you or Avis doesn't want to work with you. I dealt with an agent Alex Bazzi from who knows where in the country, be careful, he got his lunch money stolen in school and wants to bully and push around the customers. SHE made a mistake, gave me a document with a final price for a car, which by the way was not in the condition that was advertised, and then tried giving me a higher price without notifying me. Luckily, I read the fine print and realized she had changed the price. She said "the system was acting up" and she would not honor the price she gave me. I wanted to compromise, at the very least, and meet half way. She kept walking away from me, raising her voice, made me wait while she took other customers even though she promised to get me out within 30 minutes. Overall a good car buying experience. The car was a little dinged up but for the price, it was fair. Expect a 12-15% addition to the price you see online because of taxes and title fees. They do try to sell a $499 optional paint protection fee. The finance manager says it's mandatory but it says optional on the paperwork. If you tell them to "show me where in writing it says it's mandatory", they'll eventually take it off. If you come here, you have to speak to Moses. He is honest, funny, and a good guy. The other sales men didn't seem as good. The car drove fine and seems to be running fine for now. Hopefully it stays that way for a few years. The body is a little dinged up but what do you expect from a used car. Overall, it was not a bad experience and glad there weren't really any extra dealer fees tacked on to the price. I am giving Avis a 1 star review bc I received this letter in the mail 2 weeks after having my vehicle. There was no phone call prior to this notice or an communication from the dealer. The letter is dated for March 27th and I received it March 31st there were 3 business days before I received the letter in which I could have been contacted. After having a mini panic attack and gathering myself I called my lender to see if there was anything wrong with account there wasn't. Then I called my sales person and asked if there was something that was wrong with my contract he said he would call me back. I then called the number on the document and when I called Dominique she stated that there was nothing wrong with my account that if after 10 days the lender doesn't respond to them that they have to send out this letter. Another letter explaining this would have been amazing or even yet and email or a phone call. Her only excuse was "oh we've been busy." I understand being busy but this letter caused me unwarranted stress that is not necessary right now. We are in the middle of a pandemic life is hard as it is. I was afraid I was going to be without a car once again after finally having saved up enough money to purchase one. This lack of courtesy or communication on their part is unacceptable and I would not recommend. Another thing when I first went in to view the car only one of the representatives was wearing a face mask everyone else was simply indoors pretending that there isn't a pandemic going on. I asked one of the representatives if he could cover his face since he was in very close proximity to me and his response was "oh I get tested every week" as if that's important. I am happy with my car but did not need the level of stress that this letter gave me. The lack of communication and consideration for the buyer is where I draw the line. read more

I do appreciate that this was done but it did require me to make a trip to Avis for their key vendor to make me a key and remote, I live far and it only happened due to my complaints and effort I had to make. I would give them a zero if I could. I was interested in buying one of their cars and called to inquire about the car. The sales person was friendly on the phone. He wanted me to come down right away. I told him I did not have a ride. He suggested I Uber 25 miles to the sales office. He sent me texts saying that his manager wanted to know when I was arriving. For about a week he kept texting me several times a day until I finally told him that I had decided to buy a new car. He made some snarky comment. That was three weeks ago. He let me know they couldn't take over 5k on card so he let me borrow a car to drive to bank and get cashiers check. I came back the papers were ready I signed and left. What a breath of fresh air I had been to other 3 other dealers and had been pushed into pre installed upgrades. He offered me all these items and when I said no moved on. Avis Car Sales states on their website that they will bring a car to the Avis location of your choice. When I arrived there was only 1 party ahead of me, and only 1 agent. Painfully slow service, a complete waste of my time. I had arranged for a test drive through Avis used car sales. My confirmed, scheduled test drive was from 12 noon to 2 p.m. I arrived at 12 and had to wait 15 to 20 minutes to get served because there was only one representative working. Once it was my turn, the representative advised me that they close at 1 p.m. on Saturdays. She asked if I was aware of that. I told her I was not, because I had confirmed 3 days prior (along with 2 confirmation text messages) for a test drive from 12 noon to 2 PM. I contacted an Avis Car Sales representative [(833)846-6630] who programmatically, robotically, and insincerely apologized. She asked if I would like to reschedule another test drive for another day (!!!) and she would discount my purchase by $100. That was not acceptable because of the amount of time I had invested in getting to this test drive, and asking my car-savvy friends to meet me for lunch to look over the car with me. The Logical solution would have been to let me test drive the car and return it the following morning when they opened again. This is what would have happened regardless since I was never advised they would be closing at 1 pm. The Avis Car Sales representative told me that she would need to get approval from her superiors and that would take 10 to 15 minutes. That would mean I will have wasted 35 minutes with no guarantee that this would be a workable solution. I was hesitant to buy from Avis because of their very unusual way of connecting cars with customers, having to go through the hassle of scheduling an appointment, which is never same day, and then plan my day around that test drive. They have only one used car lot and that is in Glendale which is about 25 miles from me. Now my hesitancy has been justified. I decided to cut my losses (since 30 minutes of my time has been wasted) and not purchase this vehicle. It sounds like this is a common practice, based on several of the other reviews posted here. Avis should know when their locations are open. Furthermore, because my test drive with scheduled online, the online system should also be able to verify the operating hours of a location for a test drive. This was a complete waste of not only my time, but also my friends' time. I was ready to buy a car today. Clearly, that is not going to be an Avis pre-owned vehicle! I strongly advise not getting caught in this deceptive trap of trying to schedule a test drive with Avis Used Car Sales. I will take my business elsewhere.the location in my city for my test drive. read more
