I didn't know how long my repair was going to take and I needed a car to get home. So, I made a reservation online to pick up a car here. Within a few minutes, I received a voicemail saying deposit is $300 and other tips. The repair ended up being on the same day. I called to ask if I can change my contract but the office was closed. I waited till 10 am Saturday and they still haven't called. I went to the office, it was packed. I thought okay. No change and I'll return it on Monday. There seems to be some staffing shortage at this office. One person handles everything in the office. I saw 2 people moving cars in the lot. Returning my car was a breeze. I had to make sure that I bought gas. The vehicle had no issues. I had to take some pictures of the scratches and made sure they were aware. Because I didn't get an inspection report beforehand. My deposit was returned back to my bank account. I don't mind coming back but I'll check out other Enterprises first. It's hard to drive into the lot.

Was told by manager that the other person who's at fault car insurance company would cover for the rental AND insurance of vehicle and to use enterprises insurance temporarily until USAA (the person who's at fault insurance) is switched over. Come to find out, USAA ONLY covers for rental and not rental insurance of vehicle resulting in me having to pay out of pocket for enterprises insurance during the rental period. Was also told that compensation would be provided to lessen the cost and that he would reach out to me but never did. Tried following up but nothing was compensated. 2. Was told at beginning of renting vehicle that I would get a call at least a week before on when to return vehicle to avoid deadline and fees. Received a call 4days after deadline saying rental is due and to reach out to other persons insurance to compensate for the extra days pass the deadline. High don't recommend. They will do whatever to rob your money

Going online, I was dismayed at the lack of cars in the area - then I was quoted by Hertz $721 for a Honda Accord 4-Door through the weekend (and I had to keep it the WHOLE weekend). You read that right. Budget at IAH wanted $832 for a little Toyota Corolla for the whole weekend. Budget? That broke the bank. Not knowing what to do, I thought to myself "Is there a local solution?" and "Surely, the national chains cannot be on the only ones!" and wouldn't you know it - I found this gem that is Elite Rent A Car of Houston, Texas. I was able to turn the car in within 24 hours, they had inventory, and it was only about $184 all-in with tax, etc. for the rental. And add to this - the car was phenomenal. Clean, awesome, and a very nice late model large SUV. And I was allowed to bring it back in 24 hours. Talk about nice. I ran a lot of errands that needed running for my family, and in the end, Elite Rent A Car made it happen. From the initial phone call with Elaine to everyone involved (Juan, Miguel, and Team) the process was fast, friendly, and fun. I was in and out with speed and without worry. The office was nicely located over on Westheimer near the Beltway (meaning I did not have to drag my booty up to an airport - which was the only place Hertz, Budget, and Enterprise had cars at, increasing their rates substantially with Airport Fees) and conveniently located across from a very inexpensive gas station. In short, the entire team was a gem to work with at Elite Rent A Car, they called me when the car arrived earlier than expected and that was an added touch. Loved everything about the experience, and I encourage anyone needing a rental in Houston to pass up on the bloated, overpriced nonsense of the national chain houses and always count on Elite Rent A Car! She stayed patient, kept customers informed and did everything to help people get in cars. She even was on the phone with other locations. Alexis deserves a high five, as well as the co workers who were checking people out and cleaning cars. The reservation system at all rental places gets 1 star. The higher ups should probably go watch that Seinfeld episode and make some changes.

Annette, the only person at the Westin Hertz location, said she could not do anything more because she was closing and wasn't sure what happened. She even had the wrong credit card for me. She sent me to a nearby location to someone named Natasha who was the manager of that location. She was supposed to be able to fix it all. Another employee who answered the phone at the other Galleria West Loop location said Natasha wasn't in but was helpful enough to call her. I overheard her tell Natasha that I was the customer for whom Annette had messed up the paperwork. I was then told to hold after they realized I could hear them. Annette was by herself, something I have almost never seen at car rental agencies. I have no idea if anyone was properly trained, but I was treated poorly at both locations. No apologies that they did not honor my contract. Its not clear they will not charge me for the stranger to whom they gave my rental. Stay away!!!

I always rent from them when everybody ran out of cars. They have compact, medium, luxury and passenger vans available also. Their check out process is easy but be sure to send them your insurance before you go to them or it might take time to process. Cube is the way to go. They sell used cars as well so I thought that is a cool Idea to rent a car and if you like it you can make a deal to buy the car.
