I had reserved a Toyota Camry or similar, but when I arrived, I was informed that they didn't have any sedans available at the moment. Instead, they upgraded me to a 2025 Chevy Trailblazer crossover SUV at the same price :) Since the office was closed on Monday for the holiday, I was initially told that I would need to pay for an extra day because I wouldn't be able to return the car until Tuesday. However, they advised me to speak with the manager or staff when I returned the vehicle since the situation wasn't my fault. The car itself was practically brand new, very clean, and performed great throughout our trip. When I returned the car at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, I explained the situation to the employee assisting me. He immediately told me that I would only be charged for the days I actually used the vehicle. Since I returned it first thing in the morning, they waived the additional day's charge without any hassle. Overall, my experience was excellent. The staff was friendly, honest, and accommodating, and the rental process was quick and easy. I would definitely recommend this rental car company to anyone looking for a reliable, clean, and fairly priced rental vehicle. Thank you Midway rental car :)

After the tow truck takes the car, the uber that they said will take you to the office won't show up. When you call the branch after the tow truck leaves the person on the phone will not say "im sorry this happened, let me see what we can do, the manager will reach out." They will in effect say "So what, why are you calling? What do you want?" They will not have a clue as to what a customer might need after this happens, it will be a bother to talk to you. Lets see if Anybody calls back at all...the car broke Sunday 7-26. Its now Tuesday afternoon...nada. No communication. The tie rod broke in the driveway of my house. If it had happened on the freeway, this would have been waaaay different. They should comp at least a portion of this rental.

I took lots of pictures and videos of the car before and after because I heard they try to send you a bill weeks after drop off for dents or scratches that you didn't cause so I waited to write this review but luckily no such bill came. The car itself was clean, presented no issues during the 5 day trip. I know every experience with Budget can be hit or miss. When trying to pickup a rental from FLL airport after a redeye, they ran out of cars even though I had a reservation and were rude and offered no solution except to sit and wait for hours, which we did not do so you just never know, but at this place, at this time, I walked away with a positive experience.

I wanted an all-electric and I had a choice between a Tesla Model 3 for about $60 plus tax or a Kia Niro for $40. Since I had a cap that Stellantis would pay for, I chose the Kia Niro and I am quite pleased with it. The car was clean, in good condition aside from a few noted dings and such and super fun to drive (man, it has some real get up and go!). Overall, I had a good experience here and would recommend it if you need a rental car between Torrance Blvd. and Del Amo on Hawthorne Blvd.

We returned at 5pm two days later when they close at 6pm. The representative Josh, was missing. We waited awhile. Another lady came in and could tell we were frustrated, so she made a phone call once she heard how long we were waiting. The guy on the phone said, "he was on his way back," which was very vague. At this point it was 5:50 and still no show. Finally at 5:57 pm he showed up and I let him know I had been waiting an hour and he didn't even give me a simple sorry. I asked for his managers number and he seemed so careless that I was frustrated. I definitely don't recommend this Avis/budget at all!!! Oh and too add to all this. Fast forward to last week he remembered me from last time and the same scenario played out; got an SUV, told him I wasn't comfortable with it, told me to wait and he got me another sedan!! Hector definitely is that guy that has your back! All you need is a bit of patience and some communication. Emphasis on the patience cus it's a rental place, stuff happens, you can't expect everything to happen on time/perfectly. And please be nice to the staff, it goes a long way!! The store staff kindly contacted a nearby branch and located the car my friend had been looking for. The compact hybrid SUV from Volvo that he requested--despite being a 2026 model is actually less expensive than the options offered by other rental car companies.
