We'll purposely drive through Nashville again just to hit this spot!! The food was awesome, we could eat outside with the pup, and soak up some sun. The container park idea is a neat concept. The Kim chi spring rolls were amazing, just the right balance of crispness in the roll, tartness of kimchi and savory peanut sauce. I've never had anything like it, trust me, it's worth it! The breakfast burrito was outta-this world (which is a worthy compliment since we live in Texas). Each component of burrito-ness was exquisite, especially the walnut chorizo. Avo is consistently quite good. Two notes for those of you who care about this stuff: The service can be a bit lackluster, but that doesn't really bother me too much. Another pointless, nitpicky note is that the most recent time we had lunch there they were playing like top 40 radio for some reason, and in their new location the speakers are pretty...powerful...so Morgan Wallen was reaaaalllyyyy singing about letting the liquor talk, and he was doing it right in my ear. Maybe the staff would be happier if they were allowed to help curate a playlist better suited to the restaurant's environment? I'm not a restaurant critic. The best way I can describe how insanely fresh the food tastes here is that it's as if the chef picked the food from the ground moments before washing and putting it onto your plate. Avo puts a trendy and fun spin on healthy vegan foods. As a meat eater, I usually don't go for a plate full of nothing but greens (yes I eat my veggies if you're reading this mom), but every plate here has so much flavor that you don't realize there isn't meat! I used to always stop here while in Nashville. Sometimes twice in the same trip...but something seems off. Been twice recently and the food has been severely lacking. The wild nashville salad is ever changing, depending on what is local and fresh. On today's salad? Fresh hydroponic greens, slices of cool + crisp cucumber, juicy cherry tomatoes, creamy avocado slices, shredded carrots, pickled beets, sprouts, and salty + crunchy sunflower seeds, all in an addictive vinaigrette dressing. The salad was HUGE. I was totally full, with enough to take home for another meal. The salad was addicting to eat - all of the ingredients are so fresh, and remind you what your food should actually taste like. The salad let the beautiful ingredients speak for themselves. Although I was full and had my to-go box all packed, the desserts were calling my name. The waitress recommended the chocolate avocado tart and I happily ordered that. Oh my decadence!!! This silky smooth chocolate tart is what Willy Wonkas dreams are made of. It is a slice of decadent, rich heaven. Do yourself a favor and order it! Finally made it to the new Avo across the street from their old location. Parking is available on street or in the large lot next to the old location with two hours free. The dining room is a large light filled space with a high ceiling centered with a gorgeous moss covered light fixture, cozy and inviting. There's a high top community type table in the middle of the room and a cozy seating area behind the host stand. We had a knowledgeable friendly server to help us navigate the menu. Three of us were there for lunch and wanted to try their lunch trio. I chose the kale Caesar, roasted adobo potatoes and kimchi spring roll. My daughter also ordered the trio but subbed a bowl of chili for her third course. My husband tried the sweet corn polenta and thought it was one of the tastier vegan meals he's had in a long time. I really liked the trio, more food than I could eat for lunch so I shared the delicious adobo potatoes. (greener roots) lettuce, jalapenos, cilantro, salsa roja and Verde, and finally cashew sourcream. Now when I tell you everything tasted delicious it was MOUTHWATERING delicious. Delicious vegan place in Nashville. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I loved the holy smoke cocktail. They pre-smoked the glass with palo santo incense before pouring the mixture. It was delicious. They also have a great wine list. I ate the walnut and lentil burger which was incredibly tasty and filling, but the bun was pretty tough so I ate more of the 'essential' parts of the burger and skipped on the bun. The tomato soup was good but it could have used a bit of a kick in flavor. I love that the building is in an unassuming container but once you walk inside it is well decorated. WOW. Intimate 100% vegan restaurant. My partner and I made reservations for Tuesday evening around 8pm, the restaurant was about 70% full. The atmosphere was very intimate and clean. There were a few large groups and multiple partners scattered throughout. They have a WONDERFUL music selection playing softly. We had a group of woman off to our left who randomly broke out into song which was pretty entertaining and even caught glimpse of our server dancing at the POS station in the back. Super fun, I am very impressed with this restaurant. The food and drinks are all 100% vegan. I chose to go with a young raw coconut and my boyfriend had water. Next time we will for sure go for the avocado margaritas!! They looked yuuuummmyy! So for dinner I had the broccoli sub with potato's and he had the burger with a side salad and cilantro lime vinaigrette! LET ME SAY THIS !!!! THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!! You can tell the chef took their time on each dish and it was delicious all the through! I personally liked the sub over the burger but my boyfriend thinks his burger was waaay better than my sub so with that I hope you try both. If we had stayed longer in Nashville we would definitely have been back for another visit, and I'm not even a vegetarian! I have been eager to try Avo since I caught a segment on the morning news about a restaurant in Nashville that promotes plant-based foods and is kosher certified. I was stoked and immediately book marked it. My husband and I finally had the chance to dine-in on a weekday evening. So the ambience is casual and laid back. They don't have too big of an area, so I can only imagine that it gets crowded during lunch and weekends. The bathrooms are to the right of the vollyball court that is adjacent to the restaurant. No worries ladies is not a port-a-potty as I thought but in a trailer and is very clean. We were greeted by staff and immediately escorted to our table. I was looking for something light but couldn't resist wanting to try everything on the menu. Out of curiosity I had to try their signature AVOcado margarita, let me tell you it was so refreshing with the perfect combination of flavors and alcohol- I LOVED IT! After a bit of pondering I chose the Kimchi Spring Rolls for starters, it comes with four nice sized rolls and is filling. Next I ordered a Lentil Walnut Cheeseburger. I was so stuffed but had to have some Cherry Latte Bourbon Cheesecake. Oh em gee! It was amazing. The new love affair cost me $49.14. I must commend their service. Hands down the best vegan spot in town. The food and drinks here are top notch and well thought out. They have great options. Even their dirty vegan choices are still made with great ingredients. For instance they make their own patties for their burgers instead of just using an impossible patty like most places do. After three days straight off southern meat heavy food, Avo is a refreshing break. Even though Nashville hot chicken is really famous, I just cannot eat anymore high fat/deep fried/extra sweet/extra cream greasy food. The raw Pad Thai is so delicious. It's definitely a must order item. The rice noodles had a nice crunchy texture yet soft enough to swallow. The zucchini noodles and purple cabbage provided a good balance to the noodles. I love the peanut sauce. Eggplant asparagus sandwich was also out of this world. Very flavorful pesto on the the sandwich and the bread was crispy and toasted to perfection. Strawberry Caprese, the coconut mozzarella is freaking de-li-ci-o-u-s! Balsamic pearl is very fun to eat too. You could do this as a starter or as a dessert. Strawberry cheesecake, is not on the menu. The owner just pulled it out off the fridge and left it on the counter. I'm so lucky to get it before they sell out. This is probably the best non-dairy cheesecake I have ever tried. It's cashew nuts base. So yummy. If I can eat this everyday, I don't mind converting into a Vegan. Ginger Benefizz is a very good probiotics bubble drink. It's a good substitute to kombucha. For previous bad reviews, I felt those people might not accustomed to eating vegan food. It's not usual for Vegan food to be raw, and uncooked- in fact some would argue that food is better that way. Definitely worth to try the Avo if you need more veggies in your diet. read more

I joined my vegan co-worker here for a week night dinner. I do eat meet but avoid dairy so I was excited to be able to order without having to worry about cheese, butter, cream and all that other stuff. If you can't get over the appearance just close your eyes - you're welcome. I then had the western burger and added a side of macaroni and cheese. The cheese sauce on the Mac and cheese was very good. They got the creaminess right. It won't fool a middle schooler but it is way better than the vegan Mac and cheese in a box that I make at home. The burger was a lentil walnut patty it was good, but dry. I guess I'm too used to meat. The cheese substitute was very good and cheese-like. The sweet potato bun was also good but dry. I could have asked for some ketchup but I didn't think about it and I was full halfway through so I took the rest home. My favorite thing about this place is the ambiance. Omg I found a place in Nashville that is close to me, has great food, perfect size and ambience, friendly atmosphere, so many things on the menu I want to try! Then an ice cream place and spin studio right there in the same center - how could it be beat? I had the kale salad - great size and flavor, and we split the garlic mashed potatoes which were simple and delicious. My friend got the fries that were phenomenal and the buffalo cauliflower which was also bursting with flavor. We're in finals so we aren't drinking but I definitely want to come here for half off wine nights and to try some cocktails.
