This location is conveniently by the freeway. The place is well maintained and clean. We ordered burgers with almost all the sides available. Fried mushrooms, zucchini and potatoes. This place is good and one of the only stops I could find on this particular stretch of the road. I was heading north on Haven from the 60. I saw that they had a fish plate and was curious. The girl that was working was really sweet in reciting all of the options to me. I could get grilled or fried. Both options were a white fish that day; swahii and cod. I got the fried option (it was cod that evening) beautifully fried to order (took about 10 minutes so be ready to wait. If you can, order inside so you don't hold up the drive thru like I did .. My Bad!). It came with a side house salad, beans and rice along with a generous side of fries. The beans were really good, the rice was fine and the fries were OK. I also got an horchata which was decent, I'm pretty picky about this particular drink (heavy on the cinnamon, very chilled etc.) so if you're not picky then i don't see why you wouldn't enjoy it. I spent about $15 total which I think was fair for the fresh fish and all the sides. Only issue I had was that there was no sauce for the fish i.e. tarter or cocktail. It could have also done with a spritz of lemon, but luckily I had what I needed at home already. All in all based on this one order I would recommend checking it out of you're in the area. read more

Every breakfast that I've had and it included hash browns, they have always been burnt! The inside is soft, but the outside is just a burned catastrophe. The poorly made, ham and cheese omelette was not good either. The ham in it looked and tasted like canned ham pieces, with no flavor. I enjoy getting breakfast from these type of restaurants, but Avocado Burger, has been disappointing me, practically every time, I've gotten it. I work nearby so the location is so convenient during lunch time. There is a 7-11 store right next door in case you don't want one of their drinks (which are a hit or miss at times). My favorite to get is the Junior Burger as it is a good portion size and is at a very good price. It is a plain regular sized burger but it has lots of flavor! Their fries are seasoned with red salt and are just sooooo good! Today I got a club sandwich just to switch it up a bit. The cheeses were nicely melted, it had a bit too much mayo but overall it was good. The meal came with fries and they are not stingy which I love! They have a variety of food (burgers, sandwiches, Mexican food, ice cream...) so if you're not sure what you're craving, I'm sure you'll find something to fill your appetite. read more

Ordered a steak sandwich and zucchini fries to go this past Thursday evening for dinner. The steak sandwich tasted okay, I wanted to reheat it but with the lettuce, tomatoes, and veggies, I opted not to. It would have tasted much better if I had eaten it in the restaurant. Sadly, the more time I spend in Fontana the more I realize that a lot of places close early. I'm a bit spoiled, I'm used to LA where you can find many places open late. I was on my way back from LA and found this place on Yelp. It was 10:30 pm and Avocados was open til midnight. The pictures and reviews all seemed pretty solid so I gave it a shot. The restaurant was well lit, very inviting. The dining room was large and clean, even though half of the dining room was already closed since it was getting late. My cheeseburger was pretty darn good, although, I would have liked more than the 1 piece of lettuce that came with it. The french fries were hot and tasty, and the side of thousand island was really good. The Caldo de Res my wife ordered was very bland, lacked flavor. Staff was very friendly, I'll give this place a try again soon. read more

Update: Ground beef burrito was all meat and cheese. I specifically asked if it had beans and the cashier said yes. So yeah whole order was a dud. Also just noticed all the bad reviews are getting pushed over to the not recommend section. What a disappointment and weird experience these last two times have been here. Received my order with grease all over the bag and food containers. So first thing I receive is a hand full of grease. I ordered 2 hard shell tacos. One was stale and old tasting and the second one was two soft tortillas that was exactly like a hard shell taco but soft. I don't know if the cook tried to deep fry it or what but why waste the food? Just say you don't have shells. Then my nachos chips are stale. The taste of the meat was ok but has way too much gristle. I ordered a ground beef burrito but as of writing this I still haven't tried it. My 4th time here and probably the last. We grabbed a quick snack here on the way to the airport. We ordered two grilled cheese sandwiches and fried zucchini. The grilled cheese was actually pretty good--buttery, salty and cooked well. The zucchini was a big disappointment. The two thin pieces were decent, but the rest of the pieces were very thick, tasted freezer burned and lacked any flavor.
