This was a fun challenge to do and I can't believe I did this! The base is a huge bowl of fresh crispy French Fries, next layers of the FAMOUS TOM's CHILI and shredded cheese! You also have the option to top your bowl of chili cheese fries with anything you want! I picked pastrami and more cheese! You have 60 mins to finish this challenge. My boys cheered me on! Go Mom! You can do it! 4 minutes later I FAILED but it was a fun challenge and my kids had a blast watching me try. We paid the $35 FAIL, my kids could only finish half and we took the rest home. So I saw through their instagram that they have a secret menu now! They now make a chili fries burrito and it's bomb.com and really heavy too. Chili Fries plus you get to choose a meat option. Due to disrespectful service from Maria, me, my household, my extended family and co workers from the city will not be eating from this facility anymore. I go here 3xs a week and I order a plain cheese quesadilla every time, they get it wrong sometimes but they make it right with no attitude. Except for today, Maria decided to blame me for ordering an asada quesadilla instead of plain. I explained to her I would never order that because the person eating it doesn't eat meat. She told me to check the receipt and pay attention to what it says and check the food given and told me it had been 2 hours since I got the food when in reality it had been a few minutes. She was rude, disrespectful, condescending and obnoxious. I told her she had a bad attitude about it. Her approach was unprofessional. In the end they gave me a right quesadilla and gave me back the difference in cash but Maria continuedto be rude and when I asked her for my receipt she told me " NO that stays here" and when I asked her for my receipt showing what my card was charged she told me they had already given it to me and I explained to her they took my 2 receipts and the wrong food when I got to the drive thru window. With disbelief that what I was saying was true, she looked for it and found it. To the owners, it's a shame she's representing your facility in such an ugly way. I'm not a avid chili person, but I enjoy it once in a blue moon. I was feeling some fatty, homie comfort food and was craving chili cheese fries and a hot dog. I normally go to Weinersnitchzel, but I figured I'd give a more local spot a try. I've heard of Tom's a few times in the past years a good place to go for chili cheese foods and decided to give this place a try. I ordered a large chili cheese fries with grilled onions and a chili cheese dog (no mustard and I will say I was disappointed. I'm not sure if it's because I ordered 8pm on a weekday night, but I don't know how else to describe but their chili seemed like it was the bottom of the barrel and/or it had been sitting for hours not stirred. The chili was pasty, not that oily gush that you get from any other place like Weinersnitchzel that makes you love what you order, but regret it later on. Jokes aside, yea, their chili was like pasty, but a bit mushy and just tasted, old. It was frankly, just disgusting that I only ate about 1/5 before throwing it away. Both the chili in the fries and on the hot dog were nasty. Their fries were DEFINITELY at the bottom of the barrel and over cooked and likely had just been sitting there all day. I bit it several hard pieces and if you're a French fry lover, you know exactly if a fry has been sitting in the tray under the heat lamp the entire. On a positive note, I was surprised how huge their hot dog and the amount of fries they give. So yeah, their chili was quite awful. Definitely not recommended if you are going here for chili cheese. I've been to a few Toms and always wondered where #1 one was located I found out when I had lunch here in Ontario, all the Toms are basically the same. It seems they have a little bit of everything that you may like to satisfy your craving, the interior is spacious with plenty of tables to sit down and enjoy your meal. Their servings are really big you get a lot for your buck as they say. Their breakfast is really good too.
