    13. Avocado Toast with Soft Boiled Egg
    Maria C.

The food was amazing! It did take awhile to come out so I would recommend ordering ahead and pickup. Inside seating is limited as well. The food was the star of the show. We got the avocado toast with the soft boiled eggs. It was well seasoned. We also got the breakfast Crunchwrap. It was cheesy and good. We would come back again

Great breakfast cafe with a variety of options (vegetarian options as well). The ordering process is easy; place order and pay at the kiosk. The service is a little on the slower side, but they do have a lot of DoorDash orders. We picked up coffee next door at 3 Bees, so waiting outside wasn't bad. Their salsa is fairly spicy, which I like.

Breakfast Crunchwrap with red onions, breakfast sausage and avocado added, so good!

What in the Breakfast Crunchwrap is going on here??!! Nice peeps and cute little breakfast sammie and delicatessen in the downtown area, awesome food! I ordered the Breakfast Crunchwrap with red onions, breakfast sausage and avocado added, so good!! This is by far THE BEST breakfast sammie I've had! It's so filling and hearty. The ingredients all fresh and excellent quality. It's generously sized as well. I'm definitely ordering this one again and again. I also ordered the 3rd Thurz sandwich. It's a Thanksgiving sandwich, with all the trimmings. My friend loved this sandwich. Very fresh, excellent quality. I will definitely return! I highly recommend them and bring your appetite! Cheers!

14 dollars for a pastrami sandwich + added cheese (paper thin slice that I couldn't even taste) with almost no pastrami in it. Waste of money. All I could taste was the bread and lettuce.

Reliable sandwich/wrap/toast spot. The servings are big, ingredients taste fresh, and flavors are balanced. Nothing special, but every neighborhood needs a spot like this! Seating is tight inside but probably could fit 10-15, and there is more seating outside. Feels kind of lame that they charge a few cents more for a wheat tortilla.

We likely got the worst thing on the menu: tuna salad on wheat sliced--could've been fresher. But know that pretty much anything else would've been better. It's an order at a screen, seat yourself (limited) and wait. Lots of take out. Parking tough and prices are decent. Customer service also great!

My new favorite place to eat in San Mateo. GREAT food - I ordered a breakfast sandwich. Delicious - loaded with protein, veggies - great flavor and you could tell it was made with love. Also had a fresh juice - green apple, celery, kale, cucumber, spinach, beets and lemon...just WOW! This place is awesome. And I can't forget to mention the great service. Very warm, welcoming - lots of smiles and fabulous music to tap my feet to while writing this.

    13. Avocado Toast with Soft Boiled Egg Customizations to the order: bacon and chipotle aioli

TBH, I wasn't expecting anything different than other avocado toast places but this place is sooooooo much better than the others! They do not skimp on the portions! You will be full and satisfied here! The staff are very friendly and the music is a vibe! This made my trip from Oakland in the rain worth the drive! Extra story time: I asked my sister if I should go to the avocado place or Jack in the Box to grab something quick. She said the avocado place. I responded that usually avocado toast I have gotten from restaurants been kinda bland. She replied that has not been her experience. I said, "Ok, I'll go to the avocado place but if it's not good, I'm coming for you!" She said, "Don't come for me! That's on you!" After the first bite, I called her immediately and said, "Crisis averted! You're safe! It's super delicious! Did you get the picture of the toast I sent you!?"

The worst place I've been, food is okey, but the stuff is so rude, In the tost that I've ordered I added Salmon, first of all they forgot about Salmon, and when I ask, this is what he added to me, + his attitude, never gonna come back here!

    41. Matt's Protein Wrap - yummy!
    Cathy C.

I was craving a smoothie after my workout, and decided to come here because their food looked delicious as well. I ordered the protein wrap, and my husband ordered a panini. We both loved it! Great portion - wasn't overly stuffed, but definitely felt full afterwards. My husband also purchased an energy drink for $5... and my berry smoothie was $7 i think?! Crazy expensive. I didn't care for the smoothie - in the time that we sat there and ate our food, the smoothie already became watery which just was not appetizing. I unfortunately don't think I even finished half of it. Wasn't a fan of the flavor, and obviously the texture. If I come back again, I would probably try a green drink instead. And lastly, we ordered through the kiosk. It took a while to get in our order - I actually felt bad for the person behind me bc it was taking me so long and kept looking back to see if he was annoyed (I don't think he was). I would expect the kiosk should be a quicker experience than ordering in-person... so perhaps considering using another platform that gives customer a quicker and smoother experience.

I found this cute breakfast shop while walking around downtown San Mateo! The staff members greeted me with a friendly hello and warm smile! They offered to answer any questions I had about the menu. There were lots of options to choose from! I tried the avocado toast with boiled eggs. It was a delicious, but there is room for improvement to make it stand out. It is seasoned with salt and lots of pepper. The proportion is appropriate for the price. I'd go back if I am ever in the area and want a quick bite!

Tastes as good as it looks. #13 Avocado toast with soft boiled egg...YUMMY!

I frequently stop by on my way to work to pick up my fav, #13, avocado toast with soft boiled egg..yum! The quality, flavor, and value makes this establishment my go-to. On top of that the staff has consistently been welcoming wether it be a phone order or walk-in, I'm always greeted respectfully with good morning and a smile!

I had a very nice first time experience at Sidewalk Juice in San Mateo…read more I was in the area on a warm day, and I was looking for a cold refreshing snack. I was thinking about acai bowls, and the Yelp search engine pointed me to Sidewalk Juice. It's a clean, modern place, located near South Delaware St & Franklin Parkway. They offer fresh juices, smoothies, acai bowls, and toast. I ordered the Tropic Bowl, and added granola and peanut butter. Staff was really nice, and they got the orders out quickly. The place is really clean. There's a bar-like counter along the window with stools. Also lots of tables outside, as well as benches with shade. It's a nice spot to take a break. My Tropic Bowl was very good! They served it in a square plastic dish-like bowl. Much different than the typical bowls other places use. I like the presentation of the acai bowl. The fruit is neatly laid out, along with the crunchy granola. The creamy peanut butter was there, but the pineapple overpowered it's flavor. The acai base was cold, but not icy. I like their acai bowl, I'm bookmarking this place! I found free 2-hour parking along the curb 1/2 block away.

I want to be clear that this is not a reflection of the staff. They were polite and were simply following the rules set by management. My disappointment is with the policy itself. I'm currently pregnant, and because of my nausea, there are only a few specific drinks I can tolerate. This particular drink has been one of the few things that actually helps, so receiving the wrong order wasn't just a minor inconvenience. I simply wanted the drink I had ordered and paid for. After posting my review, I received a response saying that if I had mentioned my pregnancy and that I couldn't tolerate another drink, they would have replaced it. While I appreciate the response, I don't believe customers should have to explain personal circumstances to have an incorrect order corrected. Whether someone is pregnant, has dietary restrictions, allergies, or no special circumstances at all, if a business makes a mistake and prepares the wrong order, it should simply be replaced. I've been to many other drink shops, and even when a customer simply doesn't like a drink, they're often happy to remake it. In this case, the mistake wasn't mine, yet I was expected to pay again. That level of customer service was surprising and very disappointing. I hope management reconsiders this policy, because every customer deserves to receive the correct order without having to justify why it matters.

I've driven by this place a hundred times and there's almost always a line of 20-30 people outside…read more This morning I decided to wait in that line. Super funny that the couple behind me commented that they go here all the time and there's never a line. After about a 40 minute wait, I got to the cashier at around 10:20am. Half the pastries like the ube brioche were already out so I opted for just the lattes. I played it safe and got the Tahitian vanilla latte. I will say that it's good quality coffee. Didn't need to add sugar. It didn't come super hot though so as I took it away, I downed it pretty fast! I got my mom and aunt the ice latte version of the black sesame and the brown sugar. Sounds like both were good as well. The black sesame wasn't sweet, which was to my aunt's liking. Inside, it's very clean and not crowded. What helped is that there is a sign that tells the people in line that only 6 people at a time should line up inside. If I have the time, I'd line back up. 4.5/5 stars, but I'll round up.

There was a sign that said only 6 ppl could wait inside to order, but I already counted 8 so figured they weren't enforcing it yet. Unfortunately, right when it was my turn to order, they ran out of beans and had to dial in a new batch. That alone added at least 30-40 minutes between waiting to order, and waiting for the coffee to come out. We got the caramel miso latte and the black sesame latte with an ube brioche. Can't say I loved either latte, nor the brioche. Everything was just decent. I was more impressed with how many ppl came here! I did enjoy seeing the baristas at work though. I'd say if you got here at even 850am, be prepared for a long wait. Can be even longer depending on whether they need to dial in new beans. Definitely not a good place to get a quick coffee before work.

Their homemade cha siu was tender and tasty! Egg on rice is also a classic staple here but I also felt like it was missing just a bit of something, maybe more juice from the pork? Idk, I really like when the fattiness of the HK deli meats coats the rice. Lastly, fries. Pretty standard but piping hot and fresh! I could appreciate it.
