They are located in the new side of Hillsdale mall and closer to the parking garage, and a little out of the way from the other shops, although it's right around the corner from Philz coffee. This shop is quite small with about 4 seats facing the right window wall. The staff here has always been friendly. I typically grab some juices, mostly when it's warmer, weather wise. I have also taken a fond liking to their Acai bowls, specifically their Original Bowl. I have done a couple of juice cleanses wnd pick up at the Burlingame location is easy. They are offering more choices and an expanded menu here now. Tito explained that the Acai was not available due to a machine malfunction. We tried some of the vanilla freeze and the sweet cream, which is what we opted for. We split a regular bowl with the toppings. I missed the Acai but the bowl was delicious. The texture of the crunchy granola and berries with the sweet cream base made a filling, yummy snack. While we were there, our friend called us to say she was under the weather. Tito helped us choose a variety of wellness shots to bring our friend. Been having consistent issues with this location in giving me products that are past or crazy close to the "best by" date. I know even if it's past the "best by" date it's still good, but most of the time I'm not going to be drinking or eating the product right away. If I order items for pickup I would expect the products to be good for at least a few weeks. All other Pressed locations always provide products that are good for at least several weeks, but iffy with this location. I shouldn't be required to inspect every single item's expiration date when I pickup my order. On top of that the kid who was working there during my last pickup didn't give two sh*ts about being hospitable or helpful. He didn't want to be there nor made anyone feel welcomed. The guy who "helped" me didn't know about their smoothie options and overcharged me for the pack of 7. I had to pull up their website and show him what I was looking for even though I told him which cleanse I had purchased it with previously. Danny is knowledgeable about the freeze ice cream and juice flavors and happily offered us samples of both ice cream and juice. When we made our decision of ice cream flavor Danny kindly took our order. I know sometimes some younger workers may not be the most friendly when customers come in around closing but I did not get that feeling at all from him and I'm glad to see there's still some kind food service workers out there. It's so nice having a pressed juice in San Mateo! They keep extending their menu and it's so wonderful having a variety of choices. I also find Pressed to be one of the most affordable options when it comes to pressed juice. I came here on a Tuesday around 12:30 to come in for my pick up order. They conveniently have a fridge on the left labeled Pick Ups, so now you don't have to wait for the person at the counter if they're helping someone. At this point I didn't know they had the pick up fridge, because it's a little hidden and it was my first time, but the guy working there kindly pointed it out to me. He was quite friendly and made the pick up experience better. It's nice to take a pause and have a nice human interaction. I wasn't sure where pressed was and when I mapped it on my gps it took my by Nordstrom in the mall, but it's closer to Shake Shack and the Tea restaurant I can't recall the name of. Finally nice I don't have to go all the way into San Francisco, Burlingame, Stanford or Santa Clara for Pressed, as they're all pretty far from the freeway exits. read more

They also offer cleanses and a variety of bundles. Cleanses can be full or half day, and the full day ones vary in "difficulty" which helps people new to cleansing ease into the process. Again, staff aim to be super helpful in helping figure out which one may benefit you the most. You can even ask something as vague as "I want something refreshing" and be met with a lineup of recommendations from the workers! I feel like a few reviewers may be opposed to being offered so much help, but where else can you find such accommodating and friendly service? Store itself is pretty neat inside. They have a menu and if you have trouble seeing, a worker will offer for you to go behind the counter to look at the fridge yourself. The toppings for freezes and bowls are displayed in little jars that have nutrition info all provided. All in all, this is a fantastic place to go get some juice.
