Not a great location, yet. Located in strip mall near new housing and office space where several restaurants have already failed. Pleasant inside with patio dining. We chose inside due to breezy conditions. First impression was casual server with dirty apron. Partner got pasta. I had the overcooked salmon with corn risotto. For the love of everything holy, if you're putting corn on my plate it better be fresh otherwise you are a greasy spoon diner. I think they have potential here. Just need to pick a style or personality and go with it

We hosted a bridal shower at Avola this past weekend and the event was perfect! As the MOH, I arrived early to set up. I arrived an hour and a half early and the staff had already set up the tables and chairs. They were so kind and extremely helpful! They helped me carry floral arrangements and décor from my car and consistently asked if I or the other bridesmaids needed anything. I know one of their names was Riley but I cannot remember the others' names. The ambiance of the restaurant went perfectly with the theme of the shower - Tuscan (lemons). The food was also delicious. We started off with meatballs and calamari, followed by a Caesar salad and I had the salmon, which was delicious. A few people at my table ordered the chicken which they were surprised to find out it had come in a sandwich (it did not specify that on the menu). The servers were very attentive to our needs. The drinks had taken a bit long to come out, but it was likely one bartender for a group of 30 people mainly ordering cocktails. I can't speak of the event planning process, but the day of the event went very well. Would highly recommend Avola for your event or shower!

Food was good but like most restaurants very short staffed. Not good for lunch if on a time crunch.

This restaurant gets a solid 4. The food here is very good, but there's something about the ambiance that my husband and I didn't enjoy. The decor inside is beautiful, but we felt that that seating was way too crammed and overly filled for the size of the building. The waiters kept bumping into our table during our whole time there. That aside, what bothered us the most was it was extremely noisy - literally every word during our conversation my husband was like "What? What? I can't hear you over the crowd." And it felt like we were yelling. The food itself was great. My pork chops were cooked perfectly and covered in a really sweet gravy. My husbands Bronzino was also prepared really nicely. I got our son some buttered noodles and even those were really tasty too. The real star of the show was the pizza. I didn't get a photo, but the margarita was delicious. Great bread, the right amount of cheese and a sweet sauce. I would come again but during a quieter lunch hour perhaps. Definitely not for a date night dinner due to the overly loud environment.

We had a great experience having our rehersal dinner at Avolas on a Friday night! The atmosphere, food and planning was great. The service and price could have been a bit better but all around had a very positive night with Avolas to kick off our wedding weekend!

I hate to have to put such a negative review out but it's warranted when food safety and customer service is important! When you find foreign objects in food, that poses a safety hazard. I had food to-go from the evening prior and found three chunks of cardboard today when eating for lunch. Imagine if your kid was eating that and didn't know what it was and choked?? Not to mention, having to call three times to get the phone picked up is inconvenient and to have a full voice box is also not appropriate for a restaurant. Even when picked up, the employee has no concern over hearing a foreign object was found in food and asks for me to call later, not taking down a name or complaint. I won't be dining here again, there is obvious carelessness in all aspects of the customer experience.

We sat at the bar at a high top which at first I was not too happy since I picked a regular dining seat upon my reservation but the hostess made sure I was okay with this even after we sat down. I appreciated that but was okay with the spot because there was live music. The singer was great! We really enjoyed listening to him. The server we had was attentive and made sure we were good throughout the time there. For food and drink I got a summer special strawberry gin drink! It was really good! Tasted closer to a cosmo to me but refreshing during these hot days. For food my husband got the jambalaya and I got the fish and chips. The fish and chips were really great. Good portion size, lots of little dips. Really enjoyed the coleslaw and tartar sauce which tasted homemade. Also came with a bed of fries which tasted great dipping them in the tartar sauce. The jambalaya was great too. It had nice flavor throughout. The only thing my husband wished there was a bit more seafood and less chicken. I tasted the andouille sausage and it was delicious! Overall, definitely will come back for the happy hour, a nice occasion, or to sit outside next time during cooler months.

Bombers still exist, though, so I guess we take the small wins. Real talk: this should be a 3-star place. BUT--the staff absolutely carries it to a 4. But after several satisfying dinners - usually as a…read moreprelude to an evening at nearby People's Light - Fork & Bottle has not only captured my attention, it has also continued to impress. The setting, as you would undoubtedly surmise, is typically hotel-esque in nature. That being said, however, the room still manages to generate a certain generic charm. And I would also hasten to add that the service - even with our various parties of 20 or more - has been excellent in every respect. But on to the food... The dinner menu isn't quite what you'd expect. Take the starters, for instance. The usual suspects - Cesare Salad, Shrimp Cocktail, French Onion Soup, Buffalo Chicken Wings, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls - as you note, are present and accounted for. However, there are also a number of innovative diversions - such as Soft Bavarian Pretzel Sticks with Delco Lager cheese sauce, Pepperoni Bolognese Flatbread spruced up with crème fraiche, ricotta, Fontina & Parmigiano cheeses, and the Ten Million Dollar Dip that features Maine lobster, sour cream, bacon, cheddar, almond, scallions, and Ritz crackers - that manage to grab your attention. Moving on, diners may choose from either the Entrées category or take a more casual route with Sandwiches & Pub Fare. The former, which lists a number of all-too-familiar ingestibles, still manages to tempt our taste buds by teaming them up with some rather intriguing sidekicks. A not-terribly-exciting Pan Roasted Chicken, for example, is prepared agrodolce, with an alluring sour-sweet demi-glace... Chilean Sea Bass is cooked up teriyaki style... Canadian Salmon is adorned with a sweet & spicy glaze and companioned by mango & yogurt... Sautéed Lamb Sirloin is enhanced with a rich & savory Madeira sauce... and a 10oz Strip Steak basks in an addictive shallot & port wine reduction. Other main course possibilities include Angus Filet au Poivre with cognac cream, Char Grilled Pork Flat Iron marinated with garlic & oregano, Lobster Fra Diavolo, Crab Stuffed Shrimp, and Broiled Scallop & Lobster Gratin. On the other hand, should you decide to take the Sandwiches & Pub Fare route, have no fear, you will certainly not be disappointed. During previous visits, I sampled the Garganelli Pasta Bolognese and the Chicken Cobb Salad. Both were excellent. The former is comprised of buttered garganelli (egg-based pasta from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy), angus beef Bolognese, olive oil, and Parmigiano-Reggiano. The latter combines mixed lettuces, hard-boiled egg, tomato, blue cheese, bacon, and avocado sprinkled with a zesty lemon vinaigrette. Most recently, my dining companion made straight for the Crab Cake Sandwich, to which she gave an enthusiastic "thumps up." I, on the other hand, couldn't resist the considerable charms of the Chicken Cutlet & Ranch BLT, a luscious combo on toasted brioche immersed in an incredibly addictive herb ranch dressing. I should add that the delicious hand-cut French fries, which accompanied both sandwiches, were a considerable drawing card as well. The dessert menu runs the gamut... from such familiar sweet endings as Crème Brûlée and Warm Chocolate Lava Cake to Mango Lime Cheesecake with raspberry sauce, Warm Sticky Toffee Pudding garnished with vanilla ice cream, and Frozen Mississippi Mud Pie. The restaurant also offers Bassetts Ice Cream & Sorbet, should you be so inclined. For my money, however, nothing quite surpasses The Desmond's Warm Bread Pudding. Bathed in a sweet vanilla sauce, this is one outrageously rich, thoroughly delightful denouement that more than lives up to its considerable reputation. Simply not to be missed.
