Simply put, dealing with NW Granite was a pleasure. The experience really couldn't have been any better. I've dealt with various contractors over the past year of my home refresh and these guys are by far the best at what they do. I consider myself a do-it-yourselfer when it comes to most projects, but there are some jobs that are just too big or too specialized to do it youself, such as granite counters. Bringing in a contractor to do work for me is always scary because you don't know if they will communicate with you during the process, if they will do the job right the first time (or if they will work hard to make it right the second time), or if they will respect your home and leave it in better condition than they found it, since that is after all the point of having a remodel done. I can say with enthusiasm that NW Granite was fantastic at communicating with me during every step of the process, especially during templating and install, but the ladies in the office were equally wonderful to deal with. They made sure that I had complete control over the process and was immediately aware of any issues that arose throughout so that we could discuss my options and decide on the best solution. I didn't realize that templating is probably the most important part of the process because your templater doesn't just measure the dimensions of your counters, they will be the one making important decisions about which pieces of granite go where so that the stone flows best across the surface. Their templater Yuri was just as dedicated as I was to making sure that the granite in my kitchen would flow perfectly, maybe even more so! My kitchen and powder room were just completed last night and they both look amazing! Total time to remove the old counters and install the new ones (plus clean up): 6 hours, WOW, super fast and efficient. But the best and most important thing is that they did the job perfectly. They did indeed leave my home better than they found it. I have absolutely no reservations about recommending NW Granite for anyone else's projects. The highest praise I can give them is that I would definitely work with them again in the future, and I plan on doing so for my next project. read more

Companies have growing pains. I've read some of these other less than positive reviews here on Yelp (although most of them do seem quite positive), yet given our own experiences with Northwest Granite & Marble in Redmond, WA, I'm surprised to read any of the negative ones. They just finished our project and we could not be happier. It is now 08/30/2016. Sincerity, attention to every detail, acumen for quality hiring of employees, use of technology, friendliness, professionalism, and above all else being uniquely skilled with countertop and kitchen backsplash consulting, design and installation; Northwest Granite & Marble has our business forever. Whatever struggles they may have once had have certainly been addressed and corrected now (at least in our in depth experience with them). We've tried other companies. We sincerely regret not going here first. Some people are obviously in the top one-percentile of knowledgeability, talent and effort in their chosen field. These people stand out quite positively. Ashley, Petru and Katalin of Northwest Granite & Marble are, without pause, card-carrying members of this one-percentile group. What a tremendously positive experience my wife and I had with this company. The level of detail, artistry, and pure old-fashioned caring about the end result was 100% present without exception in every encounter we had with this company. They care. Today our new Quartz countertops were installed--- and they look fantastic! NW Granite and Marble did an incredible job. Our new Quartz countertops are beautiful. They were installed today and completely transformed our kitchen. The quality of workmanship is fantastic. We have a kitchen in the shape of a "U" and three seams had to be used to fit all the angles of our existing counters, and the craftmanship is amazing. I really can't see or find the seams -there are no uneven edges anywhere if you run your hand over the counters, and the heights are perfect. The installers worked meticulously fabricating/fitting the counters. They went over the seams several times -- resulting in an absolutely perfect fit!! We had a few concerns because of the shape of our kitchen and some uneven carpentry work when it was first built, so we made a special trip in to talk with Sergei the owner. But after speaking with the Sergei, and his Production Mgr. Shawn -- all our concerns were put to rest. These guys know what they are doing! Shawn even came out on installation day to make sure every thing went smoothly. The crew who installed the counter tops and bar were meticulous craftsman. The length of the back board is perfect where it joins the wall, and everything has an incredible finished look to it. There are no uneven edges anywhere. Simply beautiful! I noticed a couple of mixed reviews on this page... so, I wanted to take the time to share our very positive experience with "Yelp" readers..... I had to get my granite installed in one week. So Serigiu and his crew made it happen. Let me give you the details, I was on a budget and communicated it to Serigiu, he gave me great options at a very reasonable cost. His template guy arrived on time and his installer arrived on time and brought cardboard to ensure the floors were not damaged. But the key to Northwest Granite was the care, professionalism and heart of the men installing the Granite who were Luis & Juan. My hat is off to Serigiu and his hiring of excellent workers and men who were conscious of the customers. The installers communicated well and showed me what they were doing during the installation process and gave my options to consider during installation. When they left my house they had swept up and cleaned the areas they were working at and it look better then when they started. I had a friend who does granite work and he came over after the granite installation and said it was excellent work. I was so encourage that I picked Northwest Granit & Marble. In summary, I would recommend Northwest Granit & Marble to those living on the Eastside. Northwest Granit reminds me of the way Nordstrom served its customers. Northwest has a heart for the customer. We were finishing the remodel in our basement and also decided to upgrade a couple of rooms in the main part of the house. Since our basement consisted of a new bath, bar, and kitchenette, none of them too large, we decided to shop for remnants vs a full slab. Avrio Surfaces in Redmond was recommended. We set up an appointment and met with Yuri. Their yard of remnants is pretty amazing. Well organized and tons of remnants to choose from. Yuri took us around the yard with a list of our measurements. He expertly advised us and noted all of our requirements. We moved throughout the yard, found all of our pieces. At the end, we did inquire about the cost of a full slab of a particular stone my wife liked. Yuri had no problem with us possibly changing some of our order and gave us 2 quotes. Both with the full slab and the other with the remnants. The price/value were great. After we made our choice, Steven came out and expertly measured the actual locations. A few weeks later, the fabrication was complete and Landon and crew came out to install. Everything fit perfectly. Install was flawless. I know this review is long, but when I receive such great service, I feel it's important to recognize it. I can't say enough about how well everything came together. I generally live by reviews, and after reading through many of these posted before me, I wouldn't have given NW Granite and Marble a second look. However...I received a quote from them before doing my research, and because of their price I couldn't pass them up quite so fast. We had an amazing experience from the beginning with this company. They were responsive, offered an extremely competitive price, and delivered an excellent finished product on-time. From my first contact with the company to install was only about two weeks - a timeline I knew and agreed to upfront. I worked with Laurie to start, and she eased my concerns about their negative reviews immediately. If that isn't enough for you, hop over to Angie's List and see what people have said there. The quote they gave for our Quartz countertops blew all others out of the water. Every other company we looked at quoted us for two full slabs. But we barely needed any material from the second slab, so NW Granite quoted me a square foot price, and kept the left-over material to sell as remnant. MUCH better deal for us. The install went beautifully and I absolutely love our new counters. Definitely recommend giving this company a chance. We will be return customers for our bathrooms in the future. read more

We recently went to NW Granite and Marble , for the second time using them on a major remodel, because we had such a wonderful first time experience we just had to use them again! A few months ago we decided to install quartz in our kitchen remodel. We choose a marble looking white quartz for the counters and used a darker charcoal color quartz for the 10ft. island. Yuri, at the NW showroom, was extremely helpful in helping me make my selections and matching colors; plus letting me know the costs up front of the samples I selected. That was very necessary so I was staying in the projected budget! I am so glad he did that for me! We set up the day to get my kitchen counter/island measurements done which went very smoothly, and soon after the day arrived for the installation. I can't tell you how absolutely pleased we were with the finished counters and island quartz counters! The guys were all so professional! My counters look so beautiful and the few seams they had to put in are so carefully hidden we have to hunt to even see them! NW Granite and Marble is not only affordable for the quality quartz/ installation but they made it very easy for us during our entire major remodel! We definitely will use them again if needed and we always recommend them to all our friends! read more

We recently had our kitchen, bathroom and wet bar totally remodeled, a project that included replacing all the laminate countertops in those areas with quartzite. Avrio Surfaces fabricated and installed all the countertops and backsplashes. Everything, from the measurements to the fabrication to the installation was done professionally and virtually flawlessly. We had one piece of backsplash in the kitchen that was cut incorrectly. I contacted Sarah, one of the nicest people I have worked with, and she arranged to have a new piece of quartzite cut. The installers came out once again, removed the defective piece of backsplash and then fitted and installed the new piece so that it fit like a glove. Although quartzite is VERY difficult to work with and, prior to installation, is VERY subject to damage, the installers handled each piece is if it was precious.It is clear to me that the staff at Avrio are artists who take pride in their work and take each job personally. The end result was sheer perfection and we couldn't be happier!!! The bottom line is that we couldn't have done better than Avrio. They are simply wonderful!!! read more

I recently bought and condo and decided to redo my kitchen. I spent quite a bit of time looking and quotes and eventually landed on Northwest Granite and Marble. I couldn't be happier with this decision. From start to finish these guys were great. Joe Lynch, the salesperson, is knowledgeable and accommodating. He met me on two separate occasions after working hours to do an estimate. Additionally he was more than willing to swing by my office with some color samples which made the whole process very convenient for me. At the end of the day they were able to beat all the competition's prices by quite a margin. The install job went extremely well and the granite looks great. I had a complicated situation with my hot water heater being under my counters in the corner of my cabinets and they were even able to craft a stylish but functional lid to access it. Overall a really great experience with these guys and I would definitely recommend them/use them again in the future. read more

I checked out a few places that offer granite countertops. I stopped by NW Granite. I was really impressed with their operation there. Their boutique showroom and the indoor slab gallery was well accepted on a rainy day. All slabs are very nicely displayed. I found 2 favorite granite slabs. Pricing: Their pricing, I thought, was very affordable. I priced similar slabs at Home Depot. I must say that I saved closed to $1000. I was scheduled a template date. There I was fascinated by the way they do templates.... I did not know that countertops can be digitally fit. Installation: reason number 1 why I chose NW Granite - convenience. They removed and installed my favorite granite in just a Day! I had countertops by end of the day. Overall, I had a lot of good and pleasing experience will all their stuff.... from initial visit, to measure and isntallation crew. Initially I was looking for a small remnant for a bathroom top but came to NW Granite after an unpleasant experience from a neighboring fabricator. I found their website and they had a quartz special I had to look into. I was introduced to Laurie who actually listened and showed me samples of exactly what I wanted and a price that was unbelievable. Because we had our kitchen done she threw in our small vanity for free! The install team was professional and the final product was amazing. We had so many questions throughout the process and Laurie was available and quick to respond! The experience was great, the overall process was made easy and we are very happy. Superb experience from start to finish. We replaced countertops in kitchen and bath with quartz. Kitchen had some complex angles and features. Measurements were done carefully and the fit was perfect. Installation was done on time and with great attention to detail. They did everything they said, exceeding my expectations for this job. When I was worried about measurements, they re-measured everything to be sure. They were supportive and responsive. Great communication and support from Yuri. When I write a review, I try to accurately describe anything for customers to be wary of. Nothing here. I've done lots of work on several homes over the years. We contacted Avrio to assist us with drilling a hole in our existing quartz kitchen countertop to accommodate a water filtration system. We used the online form to request assistance and received a call back the very next day from Yuri. Excellent communication regarding the details of the work and the pricing. Yuri kept in touch by text message and arrived promptly at the arranged time. Yuri was respectful of our home, came prepared with a mask, and used a vacuu cleaner to keep the dust down during the drilling. The work was impeccable with no issues whatsoever. We recently contracted with Northwest Granite to install new quartz kitchen counters in our condo. Sergiu, the owner, Yuri, the measurer and the two installers were very professional and did great work. I am totally impressed with their professionalism, and attention to detail. At first they were not sure if they could install the quartz without a seam due to my living on the 3rd floor without an elevator, but they made it work all in one piece and brought it up the stairs unscathed. It only took about 5 hours to remove the old counters and do the new installation, clean up and take away the debris! My new kitchen looks fantastic. read more

About a 1-1/2 years ago we went to Northwest Granite and Marble when we decided to install new kitchen counter tops. Every process went smoothly. Sergui, the owner, came out himself to make the template. Our moderately sized project involved mitered edges, cutouts for an undermount sink, and an island that required atypical cuts on the the counter top to accommodate . The installation went flawlessly, and on schedule. This past month when we replaced the vanity top in our master bathroom we naturally went back. Again we received prompt and courteous service. I searched near and far for countertops for our kitchen. I found NW Granite on yelp and stopped by to check them out. Long story short, they had all the options that Lowe's and Home Depot had plus more. I worked with Yuri, and by the time I left that day I had purchased countertops. They came out a week later to finalize the measurements and then another week to install. The end product looks great and the service was top notch. We damaged a small portion of our granite countertop while installing a new sink. We talked to our friends and one recommended that we visit Northwest Granite and Marble. What a life saver. They had a very large collection of remnants which they helped us search through to find a perfect match for our existing granite and then were able to mill out of this remnant a perfect replacement for the piece we broke.
