Once upon a time, in the spirit of exploration, this Yelper decided to broaden her horizons and go to a sushi restaurant that is not on her regular rotation. Awesome sushi, being open on Sunday, seemed to fit the bill. The rolls on the menu were intriguing. Bacon with sushi and a wide range of offerings? I was looking forward to it. The customer service in all fairness, has been hindered by their covid protocols. The multiple plexiglass-glass windows made for difficult communication. There was no service outside, although many attempts were made by pushing the bell marked for service. The sushi was, sadly, a disappointment. The rolls were too large and fried items were were left soggy and the tempura coating left each bite "bready." We tried these rolls: cyclone, awesome sushi, vampire, cucumber and one other I can't recall. The gyoza as slimy. Move on, this is not the sushi place you are looking for. The end. read more

What a surprise, the place is packed on a Friday night. Good news is the wait is not too long and it is usually worth it, although when this busy parking can be a challenge. We had the 360 rolls and mixed tempura. Very impressed with the tempura batter. Amazingly light and crispy. The tempura dipping sauce though is a bit thin on flavour. The 360 rolls had a nice kick but looked a little sloppy in presentation. A sign of being busy maybe? The on tap beer selection is limited. I wish they offered an IPA in addition to the Sapphora or Kieran. They have a great offer that if you check in on Yelp and spend $40 you get a free dessert. They mean $40. This is a great place. My husband and I come here for our sushi outings. Staff is nice, makes our rolls quickly and the service is great. The one server is hilarious, she loves to do Saki bombs and gets the patrons to join in. They make this, Lori & Tonya Special roll (I think that's the name). We were too early to eat at our favorite sushi place that wasn't open yet so, we looked up a nearby spot since sushi was on our mind. I am incredibly confused as to how this place has such good reviews. Yes, the staff were friendly but that is where it ends. My mom and I ordered a seaweed salad each, a cucumber roll, the Shiro roll, and the Fire Ant roll to share. The seaweed salad is standard - difficult to mess up. The cucumber roll was fine but even the seaweed outside of the roll had a lingering, stronger than usual taste. The best part about the Shiro roll was the ponzu sauce. I don't think I've had such dry seared albacore before. The Fire Ant was drenched in spicy sauce, which felt like it was trying to cover up the less than fresh tuna inside. If you want fresh, quality sushi avoid this place at all costs. If you want something doused in spicy mayo or including tempura'd something in almost every roll, take your chances here. I ordered takeout from this restaurant. Not sure what all the fuss is about, and this mysteriously great Yelp rating! I received poor quality, stringy fish and rotten avocado. Both rolls were falling apart. The eel sauce was like syrup, and the ponzu sauce had no flavor whatsoever. It was far too expensive for what they're producing. They have a large menu to choose from, but if the fish isn't good, what's the point?! I regret trying this place and will never go there/order from them again. I'm not sure if it's just old or just cheap but I had to pick apart the sushi and just eat what was inside to avoid the bad taste of the seaweed. This is a South-Asian owned (I think Thai) sushi restaurant. The place has a nice ambiance and is located near the LB airport. We came here for lunch and the prices were a bit high for the quality of food provided. It was almost $30 for two lunches. My husband ordered a bento box and I got the sushi lunch combo. The sushi wasn't very fresh based on the smell; I was a little hesitant on eating it because it wasn't fresh. Overall this experience was lack luster and I don't recommend this place for lunch. I know fersure it had to be the Salmon Roll, maybe it wasn't fresh or maybe it was bad fish. but ive been having lower abdominal soreness, and the Runns. But Im okay. This place is not worth the stop. Keep driving by. We had multiple sushi rolls and only one was any good. The rest were falling apart, sticking to the container, or overly covered in sauces.
