I came here a few weeks ago with my boyfriend and his friend who introduced us to this place! My boyfriend is a wing connoisseur and a deal fiend, so he was expectedly thrilled for their $1 wing Wednesday. I had never had actual Jamaican food (only like Jerk style stuff so not authentic) so I was also pretty excited. We all three tried the wings and I also had the jerk mac n' cheese. I don't even think I can call them wings, they were so unbelievably tender, they slid off the bone like a braised short rib! I couldn't even pick them up because they were falling off so neatly. The flavor was incredible and I kept mixing them in with my Mac which was also delightful. The noodles were tender and relatively thick, with the perfect sauce. I didn't find the spice to be unreasonable! If you're very sensitive just know that, but I have pretty high spice tolerance and they didn't really linger much for me. They were just very flavorful. I would also mention that the flavor was great and I didn't find the jerk seasoning to be very salty! So for someone watching salt intake I found them to be mild in that regard. Since this is my first foray into it I'm not sure if this is standard or not but I do think a lot of people will really like that aspect! We were helped by an extremely friendly gentleman whose name I unfortunately didn't get, and then Yvonne who is the absolute sweetest! She was very helpful when I asked her opinions on the menu, and just has this aura of absolute joy which I don't see very often. I'd honestly come back just for her (and also probably to try the plantains because those also looked heavenly). The location is in a little strip kind of location next to a few other businesses and it's very unassuming! I loved the bright colors, and the small parking lot was pretty easy to get in to. The vibe is pretty casual and with a lot of fun things to look at. I'm not this deep in the valley almost ever, but I can honestly say I would take the trek this direction again for this spot alone! read more

Sorry, but no. The jerk is lackluster and the whole place looks like it could use a rethink in terms of organization. Some of the meat had an odd, bitter off-taste that concerned me. Overdone with the wrong seasoning? I don't know. You'll spend some money here because of the meat, so it may be worth your while to try somewhere else. The only reason I am giving this a 2 star instead of a one star. Is because the sweet potato pie was decent and the rice was decent. However, this place must pride itself on its jerk Chicken, because that is the name of the cafe. I'm not sure what they did to this chicken.But as you can see in the photo, it's black. But it's just a white roll, you can buy from a grocery store. And it had the nerve to be six dollars. I spent fifty five dollars for everything you see in the photo.I think that is a bit pricey.I felt like I was ripped off. The jerk Mac and cheese was ok. Rice was ok. Nothing over the top delicious. Bread disappointing, chicken, a total failure. I would never go back. I have been wanting to try this place for years. Finally went in and was disappointed. It has to be in the stars. If I am in the vicinity of Tampa and Roscoe in the valley, on a Wednesday afternoon, I try to stop at the Jerks Wings Cafe. This Jamaican restaurant serves $1 wings all Wednesday. Yes, there are other Jamaican staples on the menu, but I have never tried them. Problem is that each time I get a carry out of their wings, there is a longing for more. Walk into this eatery and you are greeted with the intoxicating aroma of Jamaican spices and toe tapping reggae music. It is a small but happy dining space. There could be a slight wait, because the demand is rolling. I have been to Jamaica (Montego Bay, Ocho Rios), had Jerk there, but the flavor here is so unique. The thick spice blend, the quality of the chicken wings, the tender meat, falling off the bone, succulent in all its juices, is really something to behold. Nothing short of fantastic. Solid spot! This corner where they're located has a tiny lot which I've been able to luckily snag a spot where theres 2 or 3 left in the evening ( 4/9/25 and 5/14/25). There has been a time where I had to wait in the car because there wasn't a spot. Wednesdays have been my go-to for their $1 Jerk Wings. There's no minimum to order and I usually get full with 4 or 5 because they're pretty thick wings LOL. They're soaked in flavor and spices... and they pack a punch! I'm one to usually handle my spice, but this has me huffin' and puffin' a bit. I will say sometimes the wings soak up too much flavor and can be saltier. The meat is so well cooked it falls off the bone without being mushy. There is a deal where if you get 25 wings, you can get a 1L soda (2 cans of soda). Their soursop drink is unique. The oxtail mac and cheese is pricey (~$25) but worth a try! It's sooooo cheesy and tender; it's also a generous portion. I really liked the chicken and beef patty (total $8) as well, and they're quite spicy too. Service is chill albeit not the quickest but everyone's really nice. read more

Such delicious food. The meat was fall off the bone tender across the board, from the oxtail to the jerk chicken. The oxtail mac & cheese was also lovely, and loaded up with the meat. The rice was incredibly flavorful, as were the patties. My only slight issue was that there were no plates available, only styrofoam containers. Great food and very hospitable place. Met Paul and younger gentleman at the register; super nice and helpful. I'm vegan and the rest of the family isn't, so it was perfect that there is variety for everyone. Side note: if you don't like or can't handle spicy, maybe this isn't something to have. The food is delicious and spicy (if you can handle). I'm sure they can adjust the spice levels, but we all ate the food the way it comes and it definitely cleared our sinuses. I dont think JWC considers how tight money is. People are trying to feed their families. When JWC look at their prices they cant think they are family friendly. I know its a business to make money. But one should consider that if it cost 2 people $50-60 to eat, Its not cost effective and unsustainable. They get two stars for yummy $1 wing Wednesdays. But aside from that. They are pricing themselves out of the game. Where I come from quality Jamaican food is a luxury and a privilege when executed right. For the right portion I'll pay what required. But when its get the quantity is minimal. I'll drive where its more affordable. At the end of the day a full belly is a happy man. Thus it does not have to be Jerk wings. People wanna get full. Got 20 wings for $20 on Wednesday. This is the first time I had tried this place so I thought this would be the perfect time, and it was! The meat fell off the bone, the wings were full of flavor sitting in all that jerk sauce. Unreal. They were however, very spicy, never had jerk wings that spicy before but if you love spicy these might be the best wings you'll ever have. The Mac and cheese was also out of this world. 11/10 you won't be disappointed! Food was out of this world amazing! Had a meat patty and the "Jamaican me crazy" plate that consisted of ox tail, jerk chicken, and curry chicken with rice, plantains, and like a coleslaw salad. Meat patty was soft and flaky on the outside and the filling was so flavorful The Jamaican me crazy plate was exceptional. The ox tail was falling off the bone and incredibly seasoned. The jerk and curry chicken were both juicy and both had incredible flavor. Both had a bit of a kick to them but the spicy was very much welcomed and complimented the taste with every bite. even the coleslaw salad and plantain hit perfectly bringing excellent balance to this meal. In my opinion though, the rice soaked up all the spices and seasoning and when you had a bit of the oxtail or jerk/curry chicken mixed with the rice it was just heaven with every bite. Damn...... I'm sorry. I really like to support mom and pop business but this was just a shame. Anyway I was in the area and decided give this spot a try. Major disappointment. I ordered the jerk wings plate which I thought would be 16.99 from looking on yelp. Turns out it was 22.99 and over 25.00 after tax. ‍ WTH..... Way to pricey first off. Mind you this food is not made to order. It is all pre made food in warmers. The place is dark and dingy and is really a to go spot. But they can make it a little more inviting. Anyway I decided to try it anyway. I feel like I just wasted my 25.00. The wings lacked alot flavor and were unevenly cooked. With one side dry and the other with unrenderd skin. The rice was ok but seemed old and try. The plantains were the worst I have ever had. Overall the food was just not good. Especially for what they are charging. I'm majorly bummed.
