First time eating here...it's pretty good! Came in on a Monday around 4:20 and was seated immediately. Our waiter Felipe was very welcoming and kind with a great attitude. It's a nice little place, very quiet and relaxing. Ordered the Carnitas Tacos and Carne Asada burrito...which was SO much bigger than I was expecting. Both pretty good! I also ordered the Blackberry Spiked Lemonade which was very tasty as well. Couldn't taste the alcohol at all but still got a nice buzz ;P. Ok, we've been coming to this particular Azteca Restaurant up in the Kent East Hill area for over 20 yrs now, this place always seems to hit on all cylinders, not sure how they do it but for us, they seem to most, if not all the time. The food is always very good and their staff always seem to be very friendly and engaging with the customers. Their manager, I believe, is named Maria...she's a very pleasant, super friendly person who I have seen engage with customers each time we've seen her. Maria has often stopped at our table to inquire how our meal has turned out and will often spend a little time chitchatting with us and other customers too. I can tell she works hard and takes pride in the restaurant and her staff, I think they all do there. It's very difficult to find places like this anywhere...one of the many reasons we've been coming here for over 20 years! I definitely recommend trying this place out. Ok... so being raised in the Burien area, my familIa is very familiar with Azteca. It's always been a great place for some Mexican cuisines and a fun atmosphere, but since moving away from there, it's been less and few between. So, we decided to celebrate our good friends retirement earlier this week, and ended up using the Azteca in Kent as our venue. First and foremost, let me just say, the staff was soooo accommodating to our needs and allowed us to have a blast with friends and family for our dear friend. The food was delicious, the drinks were poured and flowing, and the generosity of the wait staff was perfection. They gave us the "central floor" area, where it's a few steps down from the main seating areas, which made us feel like we were a little bit secluded. They allowed us to rearrange tables, decorate and set up for her party, which turned out beautifully. Just want to give the establishment and the staff due recognition for an night of memories that will last oUr friend a lifetime! Also, the Mango Margaritas are to die for! I have to say this place was a pleasant experience, food, service and ambiance was great. They accommodated me with the plate I ordered to my specification. I ordered the burrito Dos Amigos and it was very flavorful! I definitely recommend it, my daughters ordered Chicken enchiladas and cheese enchiladas very tasty! She is very kind and knowledable with what is going on in her restaurant. I've been going to this location for the past 20 years and their Chicken enchiladas and shrimp chowder are absolutely the best~ I've tried their garlic shrimp platter too and it was also very delicious. The large margarita with the shot is very expensive ($15), but that's the only drink you'll need for the night! The staff are always friendly and nice, they recognize me, and they always fix the order if they mess it up. Although one time they forgot to give me utensils for a takeout order, so just be sure to check since I obviously couldn't eat my food then. I rate it 4 stars because the price has gone up drastically. A side dish of rice went from $3.50 to $6 (pre-covid), and in general I would say their pricing is pretty high because those two dishes (enchiladas and chowder) end up costing me $26 (picture provided). So you can decide if the amount of food you get is worth the price. read more

The service at this location is absolutely hands down 5 star. They learn your name and your preferences very quickly. I eat here about once a week. I have tried most of the things on their huge menu. It is all good standard Mexican Restaurant good. A bit mild for my taste but you can pay a bit extra and ask them for their hot salsa and that makes any dish you put it on delicious. This locations facility is a bit aged but again the staff make up for anything I may comment about the food or ambience. I am a regular for that very reason. read more

We came in specifically for the steak fajitas, which is our favorite. Although the servers work very hard, they were distracted by a group of 10 or more right next to us. Makes it pretty hard to get any missing items so you can start eating. The reason for the poor review was mainly because the fajita meat had literally no flavor. It's as though it was cooked well done, sliced and thrown on a hot plate. If I wanted steak it would have been ordered rare to preserve some flavor. We ended up smothering it in other ingredients to get by but we had no salsa and no server. $74.43 plus a $20.00 tip and the only honorable mention was the strawberry margarita. It's just not worth it. Service sucks, waitresses suck, take too long to refill water/chips, etc. When you finish eating they try to rush everything off the table. They just reach over you and grab everything without saying anything or having any common courtesy. If you want americanized mexican food go to Taco Bell, you'll be more satisfied there haha. And if you want authentic mexican food go to El Rinconsito or somewhere else. Both places are waaaay cheaper too and you'll probably get better service. read more

This was a high price for food tastes that didn't measure up unfortunately. I am giving a middle-rating because the people and place were very accommodating and nice. But my food just wasn't what I'd expect for those prices. I had a grande 2 meal with virgin margarita and my husb had a shrimp fajitas order. Our first complaint was finding instead of shrimp and, say, peppers and onions as you would expect, instead a large pile of over-large carrot slices. Odd. We removed them. They were half the weight of the dish! Next he salsa and chips: The salsa was downright tomato pastey. Didn't eat it after the initial taste. The rest of our food was ok but just so so. Nothing super fresh about the flavors. Just ok. My strawberry margarita was SO FAKE and so very acidic, I didn't finish it. I don't usually mind drink-mix margaritas if combined with something fresh, but this was like cough syrup and super-lime.! The the flan: it was burnt tasting. Big sad. I hope I just hit a bad night; but it was too expensive to go back again . The people were nice; I hope they can improve. read more

The wait staff were worth the tips given because they were friendly, engaging, and responsive to my friend and I and any questions we might have. However I can't say the same for the food. The food tasted like the cooking oil was rancid. It left an awful taste in mine and my friend's mouths. Thursday April 6th arrived right at 11am opening. First and only customer besides a person who came in at 11:15 for a takeout order. The good: the two employees I interacted with were kind, warm and generous with smiles. The salsa was chunky, flavorful and spiced just right. The queso dip was slightly runny but otherwise tasty and I would order it again if I was coming again, which I am not. The bad; I had to ask for everything but water. I mean everything. I had to ask the bartender at 11:10 who my server was. Had to place my drink order at the bar. Had to place my food order at the bar. Never understood who my server was, ever. At any point. I always order sangria and this was not the chain recipe. It was not good and I didn't finish it.. a first ever. I'm not going to complain about the slick floors, ripped seats, that's ok but can I get a good sangria when I'm the only one in the restaurant please? Chips: got a half basket of the nastiest chips., cold, stale, broken, and the oil:RANCID!!! I ordered queso so yeah I need chips. After getting up to find someone for like the 4th time.., got better chips in that they were warm and whole but RANCiD oil. Search down someone again for my bill. Avoid at ALL costs. McDonald's next door works be far better and less expensive and quicker. read more
