We had more items than we anticipated and Juan went out of his way to accommodate and make sure we got everything out on time, including swapping out the first truck for a larger truck and making arrangements for a second pickup. They provide a wrapping service, but the overall charge was a bit pricier than the other quotes I have received. Also I was given a wrong quote about the service, which I thought it was way too cheap, and should have double confirmed so it's on me. If you are looking for a mover who won't damage your furniture and unit, Aztec movers are your guy. But if you are looking for a competitive rate, they may not be the best. read more

I did a lot of comparison shopping of price, services, availability, and they were the best. You can see why in my previous review. They were prompt, very strong, did not damage anything as my previous movers had, and made what could have been very stressful so much easier. Call these guys-- you won't regret it. They provide 5 free wardrobes which came in handy for all of my pillows from my couch. They are honest-- which is hard to find-- professional-- and I am telling all of my friends about them. There should be an extra star for FANTASTIC. I'm a lifelong renter here in Chicago, so needless to say I've been through plenty of moving companies, some decent, some terrible. But Juan and his team moved me 6 yrs ago and I knew I'd struck renter's gold, so I saved his contact info for the next time. Last week I moved my mom from her condo to independent living, and I knew it was going to be a significant challenge, given all her stuff, large furniture, elevator reservations, etc. The independent living bldg gave me a list of movers they've worked with in the past, and I even called one of them, but then wondered why I'd bothered to do that and dug up the card I'd saved from Juan. Bottom line - I'll never use another moving company. Juan and his guys surpassed my expectations and proved to me that the incredible job they'd done 6 yrs ago (3rd floor walk-up with no alley access for truck, so they had to park in front and bring everything around to back and haul it up three flights - the whole thing was a bit of a nightmare) hadn't been a fluke. They're professional, knowledgeable, helpful with anything and everything last minute, careful, fast, and Juan is sweet and positive, which is extremely helpful during such a chaotic and stressful time. Mom's move took 7 long hrs and I don't think they stopped to eat anything the whole day, which I didn't realize until they'd finished (and felt quite bad about!). I can't say enough about this amazing, focused crew. Finding high quality, affordable movers is one of the most nerve-wracking things about moving, but thankfully I'll never have to worry about it. I'll be moving myself in two months and if Juan and his team aren't available on my day of choice, I'll change my day! Juan, you really need to ask customers to write reviews when you finish a job. You won't find a harder working mover than Juan and his team. We used them for 2 moves a year apart. The first was from a studio apartment to a house in the suburbs and then from the house to a 2 bedroom condo in downtown Chicago. The furniture and other items, including solid oak cabinets and dressers that weighed a ton, were safely moved with only a few minor scratches on a couple of picture frames. I would have given them 5 stars except that it can be a little challenging to stay in touch with Juan as you prepare for the move but on moving day they showed up within the time window they gave us and arrived at our new condo building within the required time frame. I was with them throughout the move and they worked nonstop until the job was completed. Moving is really hard work and you need a team like Juan's to take that burden from your shoulders. When I spoke to the owner he never mentioned that they 4 hour minimum .We moved acrosss the street and it takes them 3 hours to move everything.We ended up paying $600 including tips and supplies which is a lot I wish it was more clear communication. read more

I had an agreement for an end of month move with Azteca, which I confirmed multiple times over the phone and via text. On the day of the move, they did not show up at the appointed time and did not respond to multiple calls. After no one answered my phone calls, we switched to a different phone and they immediately picked up. After a long discussion in which they indicated not knowing about our move (despite multiple texts to the same number), they mentioned that the employee who made the booking regularly messes up bookings. Given that our lease ended on the day of the move, their unprofessional conduct forced us to extend our lease at our old apartment and pay for both our new apartment and old apartment at the same time. Despite the extra cost to us, we considering ourselves lucky to have the option to extend our lease - we would have been out on the street otherwise. Do yourself a favor, find a different moving company. read more

They showed up when they said they would, got done within the timeframe we agreed on, and did quality work (no broken items even though some really old, rickety furniture was being moved). Juan and his team did a very great job with moving, they moved items very efficiently, carrying as many as 3 large boxes at a time. They were also very respectful, did not ask for much and carefully moved all of our belongings without damaging anything. They also disassembled our beds and assembled them where we asked them too, with all of the pieces and other furniture wrapped in blankets for protection. Even after this, they helped us with other things such as tightening some screws in tables that were a little unstable.
