Delicious food! I was most impressed that their rolled tacos were made fresh and not frozen. The chips and salsa bar were a hit! Service was swift. We had a big group and we ate well!

Great customer service the lady at the counter was super friendly and gave great recommendations I wish I got her name. There is so much seating available here which is nice indoor, bar area seating and outdoors as well. Always nice to have options. We got the steak and shrimp burrito which was really good and seasoned well! The ceviche was also really refreshing on this hot day today. Def need to go back and try more food

The chicken tacos are pretty small for being $6.98 each. I remember them being bigger a few years ago. I do like the salsa bar though. I guess I will have to review the menu to find the best bang for the buck.

Authentic Mexican food! They make their own tortillas and it's fun to watch as they roll them out and warm them on the flat grill. Their salsas are fresh and authentic, at least I think so! My most favorite thing from here is their beef rolled tacos, which are three oversized taquitos stuffed with shredded beef and deep fried to a perfect crispness, smothered in shredded lettuce, white cheese, and topped with their homemade guacamole (I pass on the sour cream and ask for extra guacamole). Several years ago they added on a bar area with additional seating. That's a nice option for eat in and to enjoy a beer or cocktail. Good food, good service, comfy dine in and also a small patio area.

Get the Aztek Burrito you will not be disappointed! Big enough to share with chips and guacamole.

Great tasting tacos! Handmade tortillas, salsa bar and deliciously marinated carne! This place and Los Tacos fight for the top spot in this area in my opinion! If you're in the area it's worth checking out if you're craving a taste of good Mexican tacos! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Wednesday, 12-17-2024: We came here as a party of five (our grandson with his mom & dad and us, Papa & Yaya) after our grandson's recital. It wasn't too crowded when we entered so I made sure to secure a table ASAP. It's a good thing I did because we had beat the crowd. The eatery is on the small side but it's very clean and the exposed ducting gives it an industrial feel. Our food came out quickly and we found everything to be so flavorful! My Chile Relleno was made well and I savored it! Their chips were very good and we enjoyed the variety of salsas from their salsa bar. The staff were very nice and friendly. We really enjoy their food and have been here in the past. I can't believe I didn't write a review before. This post is definitely overdue!

Nasty Al pastor tacos with gross fatty meat $5
    L M.

The meat of the al pastor is not good quality. It is very hard and was tough to eat. We left most of the meat since it was nasty. Their al Pastor tacos ARE NOT roasted on a spit with pineapple. The only good thing here for us was the rice, beans, hand made tortillas and salsas. We won't be back

This was my first and last time visiting Aztek Tacos. I went in for takeout. I went in specifically because they were one of the only places I could find with tortilla soup. At every Mexican taqueria I have visited and gotten soup, the chicken was shredded and part of the soup. The chicken in this soup had cubed grilled chicken and large chunks of bell pepper. It was not bad but definitely not the best. The service was ok, definitely not done with a smile. What made me even more convinced to not return is that I paid $19 for a cup of soup. It did not occur to me to ask how many ounces I would receive. This was not worth the money at all, and the portion size was ridiculous compared to what I paid.

We were seated right away and needed a couple more minutes to look over the menu. After that, it took the young waiter awhile to get back to us and I went to the bathroom I saw him standing and just conversing with another coworker. No problem because another worker named Juan ended up coming to the rescue and was our waiter the whole time from start to finish. He was very attentive and checked up on his often so he was super friendly. Thank you, Juan! We ordered some cocktails (hibiscus margarita and Mexican mule) but they were more so just sweet and I honestly didn't taste any alcohol. They offer complimentary chips and salsa which is nice and Juan even refilled that for us. We ordered carne asada loaded fries, fiesta platter with all beef, and quesabirria tacos. Not going to lie they are on the pricier side but given the location of tourists it is understandable. But the good thing is it tastes just like local Mexican drive thrus like back in SD. They brought out extra hot sauce that I requested. They mentioned 1 was mild and the other was spicy. There was a nice kick and both were well flavored and not just watery and tasteless. We really enjoyed all the food items we got. We would definitely be back!

The server was attentive and kept checking in on us. Now the food. When we were sat down, we were given complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were perfect and not overly salty or greasy. The salsa was very mild and had a great flavor. I ordered a 2 taco combo plate ($14.95) with carne asada and carnitas. The carne asada was just okay, it was cut into thicker piece, which is not my preference. It was also topped with guacamole, which was not the best I've had. The carnitas however were magnificent topped with pickled onions, cilantro, and salsa. The rice was not traditional Mexican rice and did have a bit of a crunch to it rather than a toast before cooking. The beans were just plain pinto beans, not refried beans, but they were good. While this place, is not extremely traditional, it is a great spot in Old Town Temecula with fairly good food. I'm looking forward to coming back again.

Without it, the value just isn't there anymore -- especially when their cocktails run about $16, which is noticeably higher than the $11-$14 range you'll find at most comparable restaurants in the area. When I go out, I'm usually spending $120-$140 per visit, and that used to feel worth it here. Now? Not so much. The drinks are okay, not amazing, and definitely not worth premium pricing without any kind of incentive or happy hour. I still think the food is great and the live music vibe is unmatched, but removing happy hour while keeping drink prices high makes it hard to justify coming back as often -- if at all. Copa Mundial Watch Party? Save Your Time and Go Somewhere Else!!…read more I made a reservation specifically for the football watch party and even noted in my reservation that we were coming for the game. We arrived 15 minutes early, only to be told by the manager that we weren't on the reservation list. After showing her my confirmation, she eventually "found" our reservation. We were then seated at what she said was the last available table, which wasn't near a TV at all. To make matters worse, the TVs throughout the restaurant were so small that I couldn't comfortably watch the game from where we were seated. I asked if we could be moved, and while I UNDERSTAND there were no other tables available, what really bothered me was the explanation that followed. The manager asked how I had made the reservation. When I told her through Yelp, she said she hadn't closed reservations in time and had been too busy the day before to check the Yelp reservations. Respectfully, that's not the customer's problem!!!! MY issue is the false advertising. This was promoted as a COPA MUNDIAL watch party, yet there was no reasonable way for us to actually watch the game from our table. Had I known that beforehand, I would have chosen one of the many other venues available. By the time we arrived and the game had already started, my options were extremely limited. PLEASE If you're planning to come here for a watch party, don't. this restaurant is not equipped for that. Save yourself the disappointment and watch the game somewhere else. HOPE THIS HELPS ANY FANS OUT THERE.
