The taste was of the Tex-Mex variety, and the portions were plentiful and again the service was great and we will keep coming back! The lonely, vacant, never-used strip mall by the Aldi grocery store in Hudson, is no longer empty. I could have jumped for joy when I saw that there was FINALLY a tenant in that building. Better yet - it was a new restaurant. Still better - a Mexican restaurant. I knew I had to give it a try. Last night, on National Tequila Appreciation Day, we did just that. Let me tell you - we were NOT disappointed! There were three of us. We all tried a different flavor of margarita. I had the traditional lime margarita. My fellow diners had a respberry margarita and a mango margarita. We couldn't decide which was better. They were moderately-priced at $4.49 each. The food was very tasty. I had a combination dish with a tamale and a cheese and onion enchilada with rice and beans. Normally, I don't like the rice in Mexican restaurants because of the flecks of tomato. This rice had no tomato flecks. It was slighly pink in color, and the flavor was wonderful. I'm in the maintenance phase of Weight Watchers, so I normally just eat half of my meal when dining out and I bring the rest home to eat for another meal. I couldn't help myself last night -- I ate the WHOLE thing!! I felt guilty, but OH, WHAT GUILT!! It was SO GOOD! My fellow diners enjoyed their meals just as much as I did mine. Food was not good, I had a beef chimichanga and all I could taste was the goopy cheese sauce they doused my food with. The 'steak' I had inside was nothinf but dried out pot roast. My girlfriend got the vegetarian trio, and it was as nothing but cheese and made all 3 items taste the same. The service we had was not good, as our waitress promptly forgot about us and the manager took our orders for us. On the plus side, the pre meal salsa was quite tasty. Save yourself the trouble and don't go here. Take a trip to Mariachi Loco in River Falls instead for authentic mexican food. read more

I really love this place! I love the Chipotle Chicken Burrito, the Enchilada Mole Poblano, and many other options. I wish they would bring back the Tacos El Pastor, it is a very good dish. Also, would love it if they brought back the chipotle sauce salsa (*smoky flavor, spot on!). read more

Great service, food is good but inconsistent. Frequent the place every month or so and has become one of my favorite restaurants in Hudson.

I used to live in a Eau Claire for a few years, and loved their Azul Tequila, the one in Hudson, FAILURE. I just went there, they messed up my food order, the waitress didn't come back for over 10 mins to ask how the food and when she finally came over I informed her what was given to me was the wrong order. She grabbed my full plate and said she was getting it fixed. When she finally came back, none of my food items were left on my plate except for the item they messed up. I hadn't even eaten my other food and never got it back. The manager did nothing, and I ended up paying for food I never even got to eat! Truly terrible food, bad service, but a decent margarita. We went here on memorial weekend and it wasn't busy yet we waited a good 10 min before our waitress came around. The ground beef in my husband's taco and burrito was nearly half soggy onion pieces and completely ruined the flavor of those items as it tasted like stewed onions and not fresh ground beef. The refried beans were tasteless and the rice was total mush. I ordered salmon. Big mistake. It was horribly overcooked and the "grilled" asparagus appeared to have been sitting all day. It was so soft and mushy I couldn't even get it on the fork and the ends were tough and woody. The steamed veggies I ordered didn't arrive until I asked the waitress where they were. "Oh, ok," she says and then presents a small plate of green and yellow zucchini and a small potato cut into quarters that were, again, MUSHY! So much so they appeared liquified. And, really, a potato?! When the waitress asked (many, many minutes later) how the food was and I told her, all I got was a nervous laugh and a shrug. We were exhausted after a really busy day and not up to the hassle of pushing our complaints further, although we certainly should have. We paid and left and vowed never to return. I really want to like this place but every time we go here we have to wait 10-20 minutes just to take our order. We had people who came in after us get there orders in before we where even a thought. Our waiter didn't know what he was doing and didn't even put our total on our bill. The food is good but they don't know how to run the front end, or at least our side of the restaurant. read more

As a frequent guest to restaurants in the area, I would say this is in my top 3! There are actually many good restaurants in Hudson but when looking at overall value, including quality of food and service along with price, Azule probably comes out ahead. My GF and I were there yesterday and we ordered chicken Chimichangas. My girlfriend noticed she wasn't cutting into any chicken. She cut it open and all that was inside was cheese sauce. I never would have noticed as I just pile the beans, rice, gauc, ... on top and tear in. I cut mine open from end to end and splayed the wrap open and sure enough it was just cheese sauce inside. I can understand you somehow miss one but two ? And it was around 3-4pm and it was mostly empty. We also were drinking the maragaritas and when you walk in it says buy 2 get 1 free. As recently as Nov it was BOGO. We ordered the margaritas with the shot of grand marnier and after the wait for the food to be remade we each ordered a second and when asked about the free one were told that's only for the basic margarita. This isn't the first time we've had an issue with them but this is the last. In the past food has come out with something, usually cheese on the plate that was requested not to but that I understand. My GF can't do cheese. But if it was a severe allergy it would be a whole different situation. Is it that they just don't care in the kitchen? Leaving the meat out completely for me is just to much to excuse and I'm only sorry I didn't take a picture of the dissected Chimichanga on their table in their restaurant as it's hard to believe they could have made that mistake. My husband and I have visited this restaurant 2 times in the last week. We have had fabulous service. I was surprised at how fast the service was, especially when the restaurant was packed. The food is authentic Mexican so if you are requiring something spicey this may be disappointing. I found the food to be delicious and the atmosphere was great. I have been waiting for a restaurant to open that is affordable also. This place doesn't break the bank when you take the family for supper. The people were very nice and organized. I was surprised at how efficient they were due to the fact that the place hasn't been open for very long. My hubby and I ate their for the first time tonight. We are both huge fans of Mariachi Loco in River Falls, WI. The place was packed which is always a good sign. they said it would be a 15-20 min wait but it was under ten minutes. Chips and salsa were very good and fresh tasting. The gold margarita with lime sea salt was excellent. Food came out fast and was excellent. Everything piping hop. Beans and rice were some of the best I've ever had. I had the El Corazon which was excellent. Hubby had the beef and shrimp fajitas. Was blown away at the amount of sour cream and guac and pico de gailo (sp). Azul Tequila is the best mexican restaurant Hudson has to offer, it's the next best thing other than eating at my abuelas house for authentic mexican cuisine. Great atmosphere, lead me to feel like I was going to be in for an enjoyable night of great food & drinks. Mexican food and margaritas are my favorite combination! Sorry to say my expectations were not met. We arrived later in the evening around 8:00 so not to be in the dinner rush. We sat in the bar area and our server was nice, and all was well. Then the disappointments started. Salsa was marginal in flavor and was separating in the dish watery around the edges. The chips were fresh and enjoyable, better without the salsa. Then my top shelf margarita was anything but, it took me all night to finish it. It tasted ok but not good, like they forgot some of the ingredients, my husband had a bottled beer so no problem with that. We were disappointed in the food, not flavorful, not impressive. Our nachos had the cheese sauce drizzled, reminded me of chips & cheese from a vending stand. We will not be going back, not even for a drink at the bar, will spend our money for a better experience at many of the other great restaurants in Hudson. read more
